That is actually a translation error. UN Spacy uses a rough version of the modern US Army/Air Force and WWII Imperial Japan ranking system. http://macross.anime.net/story/encyclopedi...pacy/index.html Global's rank is brigadier general. However, he is the captain of a ship because that is his position. There is a note on the distinction between rank and position.

From TFW2005's forums. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=116823 Frenzy is a... stick figure.

Dalong.net has a few scans. He'll probably have more later. http://www.dalong.net/review/mg/m95/m95_i.htm From the looks of it, it doesn't appear to have any changes made to it since F91. So it's just a recolor version with no stand. Kinda like Titans-color Mk. II version 2.

Seems like someone really wants that project to move forward. Speaking of which, we haven't talked about the live-action Eva movie only because it hasn't gone anywhere since this time last year....

I tend to look at Nikki as the Hulk...That split personality is the source of her powers.

The Matt story I'm guessing is going to follow the Haitian guy (don't feel like looking for his name), which will lead him to the cheerleader, etc.... Nikki, D.L., and Micah's story does seems kinda odd.... They should try to bring their story closer to everyone else. And yes Hiro does need to learn how to control his powers. But the problem is, every time he jumps, his story changes, which makes his story really hard to keep track of.

At this point in time, seriously, you are wasting money. The quality of film was from the Animeigo-restored masters, so video is the same. Sub quality is about the same. Animeigo took artistic liberties in keeping some of the in-jokes from Egan (and hence the creators), but it's not something people are going to miss. My discs are fine (I think only 1 or 2 discs are cracking, but I've watched them a few times). But really, if you missed the Animeigo release, forget it. Just get the ADV release. It's cheaper (the one jenius posted) and you're getting the same thing. Don't bother wasting time and money on Ebay for it either. It's readily avaliable from ADV.

Considering M0 is only around in HK DVD or fansubs, I don't see how you can compare Animeigo's work to M0. There is no official copy of M0 out so I don't see how they could be compared (for that matter, there is no official version of DYRL?, as I take it you watched a version with Hurin's subtitle addon). Animeigo is a waste of time (perhaps money as well). ADV's release of the series is perfectly fine and is a good grab for anybody who missed the Animeigo release. The ADV release is readily avaliable, so don't waste time hunting for Animeigo's release.

He also wants full frontal nudity from the article.....

Just keeping the Transformers live-action movie talk to this thread instead of the super thread... Anybody's childhood raped enough yet?

Anyone Else Have Problems With Shipping Carriers?
azrael replied to DeathHammer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, it's partially their fault for not going with EMS. You should only offer EMS for international shipments. Sending it normal priority (or SAL) is often dead slow. It travels to the nearest airport until it lands in the country of where it should be. From there, it travels via ground. SAL shipments are send in loads. If the post office doesn't have enough to make a full load, they will hold off on shipping it. This part could take up to 2 weeks. It will be sent within the 2 weeks/14 days from the time you mail it, but it does not necessarily have to go before then. Once it gets to the country of delivery, it will travel by ground. The buyer in Argentina should wait an additional 1-2 weeks before asking where their stuff is. The guy in Australia is probably going to be your problem. I have experienced this since I did order from HLJ.com and have it sent via SAL. It took just over 3 weeks for it to come. HLJ sent me the shipping notice and then a few weeks later, it showed up. I learned not to do that again. -
So they skip a year of PGs. Meh. We already heard from them that the focus in 2006 would be on Zeta and Seed. Depends on you. If you like Hi-Nu, get that. If you like Nu more, get that one.

Unfortunately, love triangles are very much a part of Macross...

PGs are focused mainly toward the pro-modeller/collector/true high-end crowd. PGs are made in lower volumes (therefore, priced higher) and normally come in 1/60 scale. Since they are 1/60, and given that most people don't have the room for such a large model, the focus isn't on the PGs. Given the price of R&D, production and potenial sales, Bandai has to be really picky about what it produces in the PG-lineup. They can't just push it out like the HGUCs or MGs. There has to be a market for a PG or no deal.

Actually, they are quite typical. But most networks haven't made an issue of it till recently. In Asia, most television programming is made in a single continuous block. An entire series is made until it's done. There's only a break in programming if there was a pre-scheduled preemption. In the US, it's a little different. Television works in seasons (normally September to April/May, December to February, late May to October). This keeps a series going on for years and years because only half a year of weekly episodes are shown within a year. There are periods where the networks have special programming for that time of the year. These preemptions are normally during times of the year where people are likely to take a vacation, i.e. summer, or during Christmas or during a big sports event, etc.. So during this time, networks will delay showing a program until that time has passed. It's very common, but only recently have networks begun to make an issue of it. It's also used to avoid showing reruns of a season. Battlestar Galactica is not an exception to the rule. BSG purposely delayed the start of it's season to avoid facing a mid season hiatus and reruns. A side effect of BSG's schedule is, that it will end it's season much sooner than most other shows (by early April). People wanted no reruns, and few interruptions so expect the season to end sooner than most other shows. Heros will return next year after the Christmas/New Year's time has passed to finish of it's season.

The NGs are equivalent of HGs. But they have no "grade" scale on them. The 1/100 Seed NGs are a good example. Most of them turned out very disproportional...but then they got BEE-Craft to do the model designs and they look much better. I made the 1/100 NG Turn A and it turned out fine...minus all the panel lining.

Yes yes yes...they'd be shipping each Dendrobium in it's own freight container..... Nope. It's a NG (No-Grade).

New Robotech Shadow Chronicles Vid
azrael replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yes....That's the beauty of Protoculture. It can even make a slug's rear end look good enough for anybody to hit it. If it can increase breast sizes overnight, make slugs look hotter than some of the girls in Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit edition, imagine what it can do for the guy... -

Check out those twigs for wrists..... Gotta love that Protoculture-goodness...Makes girls go from a sizes A to B to D or DD overnight. -
So they finally served a search warrant on Agrama... Unfortunately, this won't affect HG...much. Yes we know about it.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...mp;#entry351402

I assume you're ready to bend over for that as well?

There is still talk about the Guntank. But that all it has been, talk. Some people are pinning their hopes on a MG Turn A...but that's just a hope....

Haven't given it any thought at the moment (and no one has posted the power rankings since the July rankings) But I see a trend toward getting some of the manga MSs out. If Hi-Nu is coming, you can bet Nightingale is in the works. Might be done by Izubuchi instead of Katoki, like Hi-Nu, though. F90 could come as well, but I would see that as a fix to all of F91's problems with polycap-less joints. I've heard of a 1/100 Akatsuki (NG or MG) rumor, but that's about it. I'll have to think about it more though. Edit: Oops, forgot to read a thread over at Gundam Evolution. We will hit 100 MGs in 2007. Guess there will be lots of speculation about that one...

I don't think we've ever said that the Compendium was the greatest source of Macross info. But it is one of the more complete sites out there. The design seen in the animation was probably the final design used. Those shown in the picture are more likely to be the initial designs. That's called "being vague". It doesn't say on "each" part listed. If you feel that this needs to be clarified, send an e-mail to Egan. If you want Egan to clarify this, send an e-mail. I've done this a few times. There's no harm in sending in corrections. The more facts and technical details you inject into the story, the more you are confined to that material and the more limits you impose in story telling. If you want Egan to fill the Compendium with additional information, feel free to submit it to him or provide some help to him.

I thought they said next week is the last episode before the x-mas/winter hiatus. Unless, that's what you meant.
