Doesn't Fry's sell pre-made systems (ala HP, Toshiba, Gateway, Costco, etc) like most other stores? If that's the case, then it's down to which ever company you get. Of course, Fry's also sells the individual parts so you can make it yourself... -
Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!

Among many anime series... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycloped...pany.php?id=258 -
That's how most anime mecha cockpits work. The camera(s) in the sensor cluster in the head and other various points on the main body feed their stream via close-circuit to monitors or projectors in the cockpit. In other anime, the process is similar or the same (some visual sensor, normally a camera, feeds to the cockpit via closed-circuit monitors).

Most of the PCI slot fans draw air out. There are a few that blow air or circulate air around. I used them when they started appear on mass market, but in the end, I found that it offered me little in terms of cooling since I had good cable management and most of the hot air I was dealing with came from the power supply. But it might work for you. But if you are trying to minimize noise, I agree with JB0. I don't see much effectiveness in reducing noise. -
I'm sure they weren't accurate, but then again, not much of the movie bows to history. The common Greek short sword was more of a straighter blade double-edge sword without the hacking curve seen in the movie. The other common design was a leaf-shaped blade. So I doubt the swords are historically accurate. Again, a lot of it was artistic license. Saw it today. Good movie.

You can leave the slot open but it would be better if you had air blowing on it. Upgrading the case fan probably would not give you much improvement. Unless you are using a 120mm fan, most others will only marginally improve things. If your case uses 80mm fans, any improvement will add to how loud your system is. -

That the audition notice which we've noted earlier and which I've touched upon above your post http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=473596 As I mentioned, potential applicants have till March 31st to send their applications (it doesn't appear that they will accept postmarks). They are asking for 2 photos and singing sample (either an original song or 2 songs from known artists and the 2 songs cannot be from the same artist). -

First 2 postings relate to the 25th anniversary and KISSDUM. The last one just confirms that the audition for a singer/actress. Only new things worth noting are: - Applications are due on March 31st (not postmarked). - This is the initial screening only. - A big requirement is to be able to sing and act. - No need to belong to any particular recording company. So auditions in April, and some final word in May or June. So the question is, are we getting a complete unknown or someone with a healthy resume? -
Thread name change. This is now the official thread for the movie. Well, they are missing about 700 Thespians who fought with the Spartans, but the rest is just an artistic license.

The Harry-Green Goblin isn't suppose to be the same as the Norman-Green Goblin, hence the different look.

This is just one of hundreds: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16815116620 They come as PCI cards, USB/Firewire addons, and as a few others. I would stick with the PCI cards. -

DVI is newer (digital) and slowly being found on newer graphics cards. VGA is older (analog), much older, but more commonly found. You can take advantage of DVI assuming your TV is able to take advantage of it. Simply put, DVI is only as good as your TV or monitor. If you're worried, go with VGA. Most current TVs should handle it just fine, but as always, your mileage may vary. You'll want to look at Vista Home Premium edition. This contains the Media Center software. You will probably need a tuner card if you wish to watch TV and use your computer concurrently. -
No. He had some other comments which we did not take kindly to. And that will be the end of that discussion.

BTW, the 7.5 minute clip is only available until 9PM PST. So watch, save, and repost it somewhere while you still can. http://www.nbc.com/Spiderman/ The Venom is definitely cleaned up compared to the early renderings. You can make out some of the actual features this time.

And I thought the whole point of the winter break was to avoid breaks like these. Well, see ya in April. At least Peter and Sylar will have a good fight when we come back.

AS5 would be better. I would avoid overclocking if you are using a manufacturer-made specific, IIRC that's what you had. Save the overclocking for something custom built, where you have more control over the cooling. Most likely you do have a stock heatsink. -
So he moved the head even when it was glued in....that thing is damaged now... And yes, this is retarded.

Geneon-USA will handle Bandai Visual dvd-titles in R1
azrael replied to treatment's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This has nothing to do with licensing. It's about DVD distribution. Geneon will be sending out Bandai DVDs to retailers instead of Bandai or whomever previously distributed their titles. The question you should be asking is "Will my anime be in-stock now?". -
I'm sure all of them can self-destruct, only Gigil was crazy enough to do it. And we never got to see Gigil's abilities, because he committed suicide. Gepernich probably would have overloaded and blown (on a universal scale). The larger ones probably also have self-regeneration so it's probably not limited to the twins. Valgo tends to be more anti-aircraft and fold inhibiting. The only thing we know about Gigil is that he's an anti-capital ship model.
-
http://macross.anime.net/story/chronology/...0000/index.html Sivil and Gavil would probably be considered scouts/infiltration/hit-and-run attacks. Glavil, Valgo, Gigile, Goram, and Zomd would be for all fleet-size engagements. Gepernich would probably be considered a WMD.

Graham.. in M+, they were using VF-11Bs. In M7, they were using VF-11Cs.
