  1. I'd wager against you on that. I won't even call the Nome or any Mayan bloodline completely pure. I would say it's more like genetic markers and/or traits carried in the Nome family which may be more dominant compared to everybody else in the world. It's like saying we all generate Spiritia, but only a few generate more.
  2. Conceptual Art: http://www.benprocter.com/SITEv2/HTML/PROJPAGE_Trans_01.html See how all the designs started.
  3. It could be, but we have some context issues that need to be resolved. We certainly did not have a space station called New Frontier in 1995. I'd be shocked if there actually exists a couple out there by the name of Takashi and Sakiko Hayase who had a daughter named Misa.
  4. I don't see this design change as much of an issue. Since colonization fleets are capable of producing their own fighters, those fleets could optimize or select a design for their fighters that best suits their needs. In a sense, there's no "bottle-neck" at the distribution point. Production facilities can produce based on their consumer's needs. Again, production at various locations would not stop production. New fighters would not have to be shipped to waiting fleets (except for perhaps front-line units and local governments). So again, we come back to costs. Training, maintanence, testing, etc. All the time spent just to get people to use the product prohibit its distribution.
  5. It can be good and bad, but it really depends on where this series goes.
  6. I don't recall this ever being mentioned at all. Macross 13, IIRC, was being retro-fitted with the Sound Jamming System and was in the dry-dock at Earth. So M13 shouldn't have had any fighters.
  7. I'm still getting a Wing-vibe from this... What Mizushima said and what I've heard seem to match up. In 00, everybody has MSs, so the the arms race isn't there like in SEED or MSG. Again, I'm getting a Wing-vibe from this. Celestial Being has the performance suits while everybody else has the cannon-fodder stuff.
  8. Considering AFOS was made by Protoculture and the Evil series was made by Protoculture..... I think you can put the rest together...
  9. Agreed. Factory ships aren't just there to produce VFs. They have to maintain and service the entire fleet.
  10. See reference here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21284
  11. It boils down to deployment and necessity. Irregardless of when M7 launched, the designs could be sent to the M7 fleet at anytime. Deployment of the VF-19 would start with priority assignments first. If your fleet hasn't run into any real threats, then you are not a priority. Which brings us to necessity. The M7 fleet spent almost 8 years in travel without running into any real threats. So there was no need to get the good stuff. If it ain't broke, don't fix it or buy something new. They also had VF-17s in stock, which are just as capable as VF-19s so again, there wasn't a need for a VF-19. It wasn't until they ran into the Varauta army that the need was there.
  12. You people love going off on tangents don't ya. Macross 25 hasn't even seen the light of day and is somewhere in production... Where is all this talk of "if it goes to Blu-Ray/HD-DVD" , "Is there a chance of an English track", "They can market it in the West" coming from? It hasn't even aired on TV yet and we don't even know if it's going to do well on TV yet. I wanna see how good this show is going to be first before I even get down to video releases.
  13. We know already ... Look here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21339 The hype around Gundam 00 is probably gonna drown out Macross 25 for the moment. Considering that the lead voice actress is getting introduced at the concert in August, I'm expecting them to be somewhat tight-lipped about info until after the concert.
  14. Haven't seen anybody post this link yet. BotCon interview with the writers @ Wizard Magazine
  15. Do none of you get the picture? Keith gets muted for 48-hours. I will start issuing bans if this continues. Now back to the subject of the 25th anniversary. 25th anniversary editions of the Hasegawa VF-1S and YF-19 are now up for pre-order at Hobby Search. VF-1S YF-19
  16. I have muted (i.e. he is restricted from posting) Zinjo for 24 hours. This thread isn't about the marketing of older series. Save that for another thread. Not quite my fellow Jedi...It is the sense of banning you feel.
  17. Ummm me too. Firefox 2.0.0.4
  18. Beast Wars introduced lots of concepts to Transformers, to which I'm still debating on whether they had relevance in the movie.
  19. And you wonder why I'm just waiting for an official announcement.... Also, this wouldn't be the first time Kawamori has revised the official timeline. He revised it when he did M7 and that allowed for M0. But considering that "20XX" appeared in that screenshot, I'm guessing this series might be be far enough away from the the current timeframe of M7/VF-X2 to not have any ties to any older series except name and concept. Going by the fact that the target audience has probably not seen SDFM or were too young when M7 appeared, I would see this as a reboot for the modern audience, not us. He may still keep within the general continuity but he's moved this series out far enough to not be influenced by any previous TV series. On that note, have any of you guys questioned where anybody is getting these rumors? Some of it is coming off the Chinese forums which may be coming off the 2ch boards or official Macross boards. So there's a bit of lost-in-translation syndrome there.
  20. The problem is that they cut out portions of the story. I read the prequel comic and the movie comic adaption so I got all the fillers from those. But they never addressed why Prime called Megatron "brother" all of a sudden at the end. In other material, they addressed that. In the movie, it came out of the blue. I think the problem is they cut out parts that flowed and kept parts that didn't necessarily need to be there. They need an extended cut for this movie... IIRC, Prime was fine after falling off the overpass....
  21. Too late for that...we already have Macross II. Hummingbird.....I wonder if that symbol was used due to a certain music group that did music for Macross....
  22. It's definitely HK. One of the sponsors is http://www.danielco.com.hk/ It's probably best to ask Graham about it.
  23. I'm pretty sure it is. The emblem and markings look like it's geared toward the 25th anniversary.
  24. You can only talk about Macross 25 or 25th Anniversary events in this thread. Nothing else. Now for the awful/horrible/I-should-be-killed-for-using-these-things machine translations: Chinese: 你只能谈麦克罗斯25或25周年纪念活动在此线. 你不能谈论什么. 请启动一个新的课题,如果你想谈什么东西. Japanese: マクロス25だけ述べることができるまたはこれの第25記念日のでき事は通る。 何か他のもの述べることができない。 何か他のもの述べたいと思ったら新しいトピックを始めなさい。
  25. Think of it this way, where ever Basara goes, you can be sure Gamlin and Mylene will be right behind him...to help or lecture him....That scene was a crowd teaser which goes with question of who does she chose, to which we will get no real answer.
