  1. It really depends on what you plan on doing. Eventually, everything will be heading to quad-core CPUs. But right now, there isn't a terrible amount of software that really takes advantage of all 4 cores. So this one is up to you.
  2. Okay, a no frills system...Just a word of warning, I can go lower, much lower. And I am throwing in a bit of future-proofing as requested. The board also has built-in video so the video card is optional. In either case, Vista would work. Maybe not for the best, but it will work. And I could drop the price lower, but it would require moving to AMD for the CPU. The E4500 was the only one I saw in stock at most places. Most cases have the USB slots either mid-level or on the bottom. Those that have it higher are a bit more pricy. And for more gamer-class, as suggested, you could swap the E6550 with a E6750. Otherwise, my 1st response to you would definitely handle this category.
  3. Which do you prefer? Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000BNA Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail or COOLER MASTER Mystique RC-632S-KKN1-GP Black Aluminum/ SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail Bear in mind, I could pick other ones.
  4. Upcoming episode descriptions. Take 'em as you will. Newtype Animedia
  5. Ranka's phone.....Looks like she's squeezing it to death...
  6. Unfortunately, you're gonna hit the end-of-life for some part at some point so, let's see what I can do. The case should come with fans so there's no need to get additional fans. The E6550 is a deal compared to the E6420 or lower end models. At $169 for a 2.33 GHz CPU, I would say it's hard to beat. Crysis puts any video card to shame, but a 8600GT is more than enough for light-gaming.
  7. I can't count today...lovely. We should be glad it's not on Sundays, period.
  8. The panoramic monitors were introduced in 0080 with the RX-78NT-1. It would later find itself in the RX-78GP03S. However, nearly all MSs at this time would still be using a standard cockpit. By Zeta, most MS incorporated a panoramic monitor/Linear seat (including Zeta Gundam). By 0093 (CCA), the panoramic monitor/Linear seat was standardized into all MS. Any mass produced MS pre-0083 would still use a standard cockpit. As we move away from the UC timeline, it becomes a bit more spotty.
  9. Saturdays? At 8:30PM? Of all the bloody days and timeslots...It's a gamble to put it on in the middle of primetime...
  10. But it was shown in theaters so "movie".
  11. Not so fast. The union needs to vote on the agreement if one is made.
  12. He builds his VFs with Legos to conceptualize the transformation. He then takes pictures and traces an outline of his Lego VFs and then smooths out the rough parts so that it becomes more streamlined. Normally, soundtracks aren't released until about a month after they appear on a show.
  13. It's just the complete 1-hour special. Bio's version kinda cuts out about 9-minutes of talk about the radio controlled SV-51. The link is on the 1st post.
  14. Now that I had a chance to rewatch it (and I suspected it from the screens but didn't recall), those were 3D models of the VF-25. They were probably made using a 3-D printer. The models are probably useful to the CG modelers when doing perspective or panning shots. Hand-drawn shots tend to have disproportional looking parts so it's just a model for the animators to be sure they get the VFs just right.
  15. Agreed...let's see how the TV series does FIRST, before we jump to a movie. This series could still potentially go off the deep end.
  16. Yes, it was a download link. So that's a no-no. Do you have a screenshot of the model?
  17. "Brief 25" pretty much said it all about that Seiyan sub.
  18. They all have something in common which is Macross Frontier. But they're divided into sub-topics. This thread happens to be about the Mecha and Technology. We then have the episode and story talkback thread. And then we have the News thread which holds all our article/web site updates.
  19. MMS, or Multimedia Messaging Service, is normally meant for mobile phone services. Unfortunately, most people in North America don't have a phone that can save streaming media, so we're left with streaming it through our computers. I should note that the mobile phone clips are nice, but rather useless for people in North America since no one here has a phone that can save the streamed media.
  20. I'm with Graham. Those clips had absolutely no new footage. 3/4 of the PV was from Ep. 1. Some of it was from the 1-hour special...
  21. Kawamori usually isn't like Gundam franchise which replaces the protagonist's MS mid-season (it's assuming a lot that MF will be more than 1 season at the moment). Usually he'll introduce the new mecha early on and then mod the heck outta it.
  22. I believe this week's episode was a re-airing of the pilot episode.
  23. Still waiting on the confirmation but it looks like we might have a Duke.
