And mecha stats. Needs a better translation. Lots of updates to the MF website. Mecha VF-25 (normal configuration, Alto and Ozuma-types) Successor to VF-171 in NUNS. Developed as the next generation VF. Details are still confidential. Weapons: Assault rifle/machine gun for the pilot, Beam cannon, head lasers, new-style gunpod. Fighter Length: 18.72m Width (full wingspan): 15.5m Height: 4.03m Battroid Height: 15.59m (with head lasers included) Full Armor Additional armament and dedicated special equipment. It is in the center and is composed of various big and small spaceships. About half of the population in the resides in Island One. EX Gear It is a reinforced exoskeleton type powered suit. Special suit that becomes pilot seat and lifesaving for new model VF units. Variable small jet engine and large wing. Flight is also possible. Bisei(translation) pilot training course in the high school campus It is assumed that one can board a new VF and train using the EX-Gear because basic performance is the same standard as the military use. Although equipment has been simplified. Collaboration is possible in new-model VF cockpit. Characters Alto Satome- nothing new here. In the flight program at school. Gets mistaken for a girl due to his long hair and feminine features. Yearns to fly even though he comes from a kabuki theater heritage. At odds with his dad over flying. He doesn't really like to live on Frontier. Ranka Lee - nothing new. Dreams of being a singer. Sheryl (alt. Cheryl) Nome - From Macross Galaxy. Always ranks high on the Galaxy Network charts. "There isn't a day in the Milky Way when Sheryl's song is not heard". Highly confident and pride is particularly high. Mikhail (or Michael?) Buran - Womanizer (based on the description). He's the one who coined the "Princess Alto" nickname. One of the best shooters. His aim is the best, whether the enemy or the ladies. Luca Angeloni - Junior to Mikhail and Alto. Causes bewilderment among embarrassed seniors frequently. Is very talented with computers and military electronic equipment. Nanase Matsuura - classmate of Alto and Mikhail. Works at the Chinese restaurant with Ranka. She has a withdrawn and docile personality. Big supporter of Ranka's singing dreams. Ozuma Lee - SMS Skull squadron leader. Macross Compendium: 2010 - 2012 Flashback 2012. I think Episode 36 answers this. Robotech had a way of really screwing things up. Episode 36 answers this. The bridge just missed the collision. More RT mess. Macross Compendium: Linn Kaifun Clearly noted that they have no blood relation. Hikaru never saw how Kaifun treated Minmay. Can't intervene when you really don't see what's going on. Love is blind. No, the feelings have been there. Just needed a nudge or 2. She did stop singing until 2012 when she left with Megaroad-01. See Flashback 2012. I would suggest watching SDF Macross from Animeigo or ADV and not from a bootleg. And yes, this is newbie thread material.

The impression I'm getting from the article is that it's a Westerner, looking at a Japanese show through Western eyes, as if the show was made for a Western audience. I'm not sure if this view is appropriate because SDF Macross never had a Western audience in mind. The majority of Japanese animation is created that way, hence Japanese animation.

You may wish to bring the discussion to this thread: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=18456 Or you may want to ask the folks in the Models section as this questions is asked a lot in there. For panel lining, I normally use a wash and a liner brush. Some people use pencils, some Gundam markers. It really varies.

The computer and electronics super geek superthread...

I've heard Samsung is decent for their flash players. There are plenty of comparison pages out there between the Zune and Ipod so I leave that to those pages. But if I wanted Wi-Fi abilities, I would get the 32GB Ipod Touch and not be crippled by the Zune's abilities. -

IIRC, the Evil Series (later Protodevlin) was a trial test to create more powerful Zentradi by the Stellar Republic, not by those who were against the Stellar Republic. And all internal conflicts came to a halt after the Protodevlin and Supervision Army came into power. http://macross.anime.net/story/chronology/...0000/index.html

Have you looked into any of these? -

Comcast is already filtering P2P traffic through their routers. -

Filtering is nothing new. Even the US is planning content filtering on ISPs. And we've already seen the file-sharing business happen when a bunch of WinNY nodes went offline last month. This topic factors a little tiny bit with this discussion. -
Apples and oranges. Unrealistic? When has any anime been realistic? I find it very pointless to compare MSs from various Gundam productions. Not to mention in a Gundam 00-specific thread.

Wasn't that shot just of a VF-25 w/Super parts? -
Keep in mind that the Fall season announcements will be next month. Lost isn't like Heroes in terms of production schedules. They will probably end on a cliffhanger. At least Heroes got to end with some kind of ending this season.
-
This week's episode was pretty good. Looks like the magazine spoilers are turning out to be true.
-
From what I've heard, most studios will forgo the rest of this season and head straight into the Fall season. In the remaining few months left this season, there isn't enough time to produce an episode and get it on the airwaves so most are just going to move ahead to next season. The bad news is lots of shows laid off staff so they also need to re-hire or hire new staff for the show now. That's going to eat up some time as well.

Good point, but I've never known Kawamori to reveal a terrible amount of detail in his opening credits. Although, he may have changed that with Aquarion (I never watched it so...) A CG posing doll for the VF-25 w/ Super parts/Full armor. It's just a model to help animators figure out how to transform a VF-25 with the addons. -

Don't hold your breath... http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,142233/article.html Oh, and when you buy Vista, you don't own it. You license it. The TOS specifically states that: Yeah, I know. Talk about not owning your computer anymore.... -

Actually, they'll probably start with episode 1 again. Except we'll probably have completed opening and ending themes. At least I hope. -
