According to the MF blog, Kawamori is working on the VF-25. The delay is due to the fact that he working on both the material and producing the show as well. This has impacted his schedule but he is working on it.

More eyes and sensors in dedicated probe than the the add-on parts on the VF-171.

Guantánamo has the same issue. Macross 7 Animation Materials only covers up to a certain point in the animation so it may have been incomplete when it was sent to the publisher.

Now that I look at the Compendium entry, It says "Bolognese Stealth Frigate " and doesn't mention "Class". That may be an error on our part importing the stuff. I'll have to look back at the books.

Very true. Time is an unfortunate issue with producing a weekly show (If you want to hear whining about costs and time limits, listen to the RDM's BSG podcasts).

Well, you can't keep producing top notch animation when you have a budget for a longer series and one with less funding than a certain bigger named mecha series. Were this a OAV, then I'd be concerned but this is a TV series and I do expect a few drops in 2D animation on some lighter episodes. The CG sequences, for the most part, are consistent and the story didn't seem affected by it.

We're still not sure about what that fighter is called cuz most of it is still rumor-status info. It mentions VF-27, but it helps to have a picture go with it to be sure.

You know, I really didn't notice any drop in quality. The Sheryl/Alto scene at the concert hall seemed a bit off but it wasn't that bad. So I'm not sure I know what some of you are looking at. I loved the concert/launch sequence. I thought that was a really good setup. This episode actually reminded me of "Separated From Others (episode 43)" from M7. And I'll agree with what was said earlier about the 2 fold boosters on the VF-171s. One to get there, one to get back. They do appear smaller, but that may be due to time and technology. Oh dear, look at the time. Guess we don't need the spoiler tags.
