One thing to keep in mind about robot shows is that the bots are a controlled by a series of embedded systems which govern how the robots move when the pilot moves the controls in a certain way.

If you still feel funny, reformat your system.

No idea. ECA may have been Protoculture idea so the Vajra may have been influenced by Protoculture. Since the red Vajra seem to have a much more powerful core, it's probably without doubt they have stronger ECA, which is why they seem to be more resistant to missiles and other anti-aircraft weapons. Short of getting in close for melee combat, high velocity ammo, or several shots from a particle weapon, you'll probably need to use a high yield explosive to penetrate its shell.

And here's a ratings for the past month from the Anime ratings thread at Animesuki (again, based on the TBS airing, Kantou region) If MF can break 3%, then I would say that's really good considering the late-night airing.

You can watch each series with little or no knowledge of the others. M7 has a historical recap just like MF. M0 has one as well. M+ does it's own thing so there's no real need for a recap. MII is in it's own world. Both M+ and MII mention it but it doesn't really affect the stories too much. Macross/DYRL is the backbone so watching that will fill out where most of the rest come from.

Already knew Michael Rosenbaum was going to leave. Kristin Kreuk is also planning on leaving this season. Hopefully they could get him back to do a few episodes next season. But I would like them to end the show next season. I think 8 seasons is enough.
