The VT-1C from MD7 did have boosters attached. The VF-1X is not capable of reaching satellite orbit. The update engines brings it up to spec with a VF-11. So a VF-1X still does need assistance to reach orbit. Macross Compendium: VF-1 Entry

If it's on the lens, try cleaning the lens with a lens cleaning wipe (cloth or tissue). If it's still there, it's possible it's on the inside of the lens or on the sensor. If the camera is a SLR, you might have an easier time cleaning it. If it's a point-and-shoot, good luck returning it. I would check if your camera has a built-in sensor cleaner.

If it showed up on all of your pictures, then it's either the lens or the sensor.

Obviously they don't want what was on last week by those ratings. This kinda says something: A 2.6% drop? On a Sunday show. In the morning slots. I don't think Japan was watching too much TV last week. Sazae-san took a 1.1% slap to the face last week as well. So I think the numbers are consistent.
