    Depends on what you plan on doing with it. I can shoot for cheap-and-won't break a budget-deal, or I can go with blow-your-wallet. It also helps to know how much you actually intend to spend on it.

    The Core i7s are looking to be fairly pricey. ~$300 for their lower end. Regardless, you should look at multi-core processors. There will be more software out there that will take advantage of it. Depends on what you want to use RAID for. Do you wish to do RAID 0, 1, 10/0+1, 5, etc...? SLI is nice, but most with cards becoming better every quarter, it might better to wait for a better card. If your system can run COD4, then you can afford to wait a little more.

    That intake fan at the top should be an out-take. Heat rises...And if the 20" fan is doing intake, then you seriously need to point that top fan in the opposite direction.

    From the looks of it, the whole site is down. It doesn't PING so the tracker is probably out of commission. Anybody who does have it is stuck using DHT for hosts.

    Well, it sounds like they followed the anime. IIRC, they had 4 Macross Cannons in use against the main Marduk fleet and 2 more were on the way.

    The Az-130 is derived from the VA-14. http://macross.anime.net/mecha/varauta/var...z130/index.html It probably does have a GERWALK mode, but you could say at that point, the Protodeviln were just using them as lambs going to the slaughter house.

    I would say for anybody who didn't get Frontier or had most of the plot go over their heads, 2059:Memories is the book for you. There are some technical and character notes (like ages), but those are fairly short. I may take a look at the VF-171 page. Big typo there though. They labeled Alto's VF-171EX as a "VF-25A Alto-type". I also got my copy of Official File #1. More stuff on Frontier unfortunately. Mecha is hardly anything to speak of. Nice thing here is those of you who want a published Macross timeline should pick this guy up. It's got a short version covering the Stellar Republic years to Frontier.

    I think canned preserved pork/ham-byproduct is as far as my taste for canned foods will go.

    There was the Bandai forums, but that died. Gundam Project and Mecha Domain would have been our equivalent Compendium and MW, but they died a while back. MAHQ is the only one I can think of that still gets lots of traffic.

    Frontier never put much emphasis on those messages. IIRC, Kawamori's theme for this show was "misunderstanding/communication problems".
