Yeh, it's time to end this thread. But I'll leave you with something to remind people with when posting repetitive questions:

Looks like we may have an answer or something next week. L.A. Dispatch: Settlement Likely in “Watchmen” Dispute (New York Times)

Also, it depends on the contract that was made and how they deal with international licensing (and unless this becomes a legal issue) we will never see those contracts. Redwolf kinda has the idea. The length of M7 won't be as big of a issue. Because the songs were made specifically for the show, how many times they're used would have factored into the original contract of the show (think of it as theme music) so I won't worry about length unless you want to itemize it which would be a royal pain-in-the-.... The issue I would be worry about is the sheer number of songs made for the series that would eat up more money than the show itself. Consequently, Frontier might also suffer from this problem. Now for the songs specific to M7, royalties would probably have to be paid to singers (songwriters I'm going to say maybe, but I'm inclined to say no because that might fall in the category of "work-for-hire") and the license holder, i.e. Victor Entertainment/JVC. Most shows don't have the sheer number of songs as Macross so the price is going to be much higher than normal. Much much higher. Then we get to the issue of the other non-M7 soundtracks. You would probably have to pay the licensing fees for that and then, when you import it, you would probably have to pay the international licensee of that soundtrack (since it uses music from M+ and MII, that would be Manga Entertainment and since it also uses DYRL? music, good luck finding who has the license to that music). So you end up paying more than you could probably be making a profit out of. In MF's case, again we would have the same issue. Number of songs is relatively high so it's going to be a little hard to get that over. Then you have usage of other series' songs (M7, DYRL? and SDFM). So you'll need to pay a fee for those and whomever is the international licensee of those soundtracks. Now keep in mind who would likely be the licensee of the SDFM tracks. Surprisingly, M0 would probably have the easiest time coming over since it uses no soundtracks from any previous show.

If he didn't settle it in the series, what makes you think Kawamori will settle it in the movie?

I call these my "gut-reaction" answers. 1. Which girl got Alto? - a new perspective on this fascinating topic. "ménage à trois " and "Orgy" are such an underused words these days. 2. What was the mystery fighter that appeared at the end of Macross Frontier Episode 5? Your momma. 3. There were a few badly animated frames in Macross Frontier. Did you notice? No. You should seriously get your eyes checked. 750/750 lens aren't strong enough. 4. Which is canon? DYRL or SDF:M? Whichever one floats your boat. 5. What is the significance of the spiral markings on the Vajra? They have to be there as a clue? Don't they? Animators had to fill some space on the designs. Haven't you ever seen the iPod, designed by Microsoft? 6. Will we ever find out what happened to Shin and Sara? The other great mystery couple of the Macross Saga! Same answer to the question "Will we ever find who keeps producing pineapples in Macross?". 9. HG vs Macek. Which is more evil? Neither. Apple eats 'em both for a midnight snack.

Many moons ago, I wrote this on the first page of the original newbie thread (post IPB-conversion): http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...post&p=1608 And yet every year, it's always asked.

Good luck with that one. I've been trying for years and it always shows up just like clockwork.

Luca's cosplay doesn't work. He actually did wear a uniform during the show. Couldn't they have drew him in a Klan outfit?

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - >>Season 2 + Movie<<

And GN Archer's pilot is... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v178/BladeEX/388390.jpg -
I won't say that so soon. The text mentions that Klan is a "3rd heroine in the theater version" with a question mark. It sounds like they want to bump up Klan's cred (i.e. more screen time), IMO.

Sounds like they want to give Klan screen time? Sounds like an Escaflowne movie-route with the MF movie. They really had to changed things around for the movie format.

That's just her first name. Her last name is "Klang".

I'm just surprised the Nanase-crowd hasn't mentioned Nanase is Luca's "small" school uniform. And someone should make sure that Michael DOESN'T take off that Sheryl costume in front of a crowd.

Macross Frontier Mecha/Technology Thread IV *Read 1st Post*
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
That I don't know about. If the thing was brittle, I would have expected it to break apart many times. Official File vol. 2 mentions "low airframe versatility which makes it unsuitable for mass production." -
Looking at the pages, there's a typo: VF-24 -> YF-24

Macross Frontier Mecha/Technology Thread IV *Read 1st Post*
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Kinda, yes. But the way it sounds in Official File vol. 2 makes it sound like Galaxy never intended the 27 to be used by a human pilot. The wording used on the official site indicates that the 27's performance would intolerable to any normal human pilot. -
Give me a day or 2 to look at it. But don't expect a frakin miracle. The Character sheets are less mind fraking than the Tech sheets. "Gerber OTEC"..... Well, that's an interesting take on it.

Macross Frontier Series Discussion Thread *READ 1st Post*
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Although, most stuff at the late-night hour are basically 25-minute commercials.... -
It still is. I'm guessing what they mean is there were enough changes done to the YF-24 design that they gave it a new number, VF-25. Likewise, there's enough changes done to Galaxy's development of the YF-24 that they gave it a new number, VF-27. The YF-24 probably doesn't incorporate the number of changes that the VF-25 and VF-27 made on the design.

Not when they told everybody last week. I made use of it and went to sleep early. -
Umm, that was in reference to Gubaba's reply to Mr. March's reply. I find it humorous when people think a piece of text says something when it says nothing of consequence.

Classic case of "I don't believe it says what you think it says."

Absolute rubbish design to trick people like you.
