  1. Maybe it is too good to be true. Cherudim went waist-less. All the waist movement went to the torso. That sucks.
  2. Guess all those people asking for The O finally got their wish.
  3. Never mind that. There's no VF-1!!!!! YES!!!!
  4. It is based on the Flag but it it may not have the same internal components as a Flag. http://gundam00.bandai-ent.com/enact.php Even the 00 Mechanical File only mentions the Enact being solar powered, not the Flags or Tierens. At the same time though, they only mention on the Flag profile, the hydrogen-plasma engines and that the hydrogen fuel is molecular bonded to the frame of the Flag, bypassing the need for fuel tanks and freeing up internal room for ordnance. The engines may be good enough to provide power to the whole unit.
  5. Actually, they don't mention how the Flag gets power. Every text I've come across has only mentioned the Enact as the one who draws power from the solar energy system. We'll find out next week how Masurao remains active after Trans-Am or falls like a brick when Trans-Am runs out.
  6. You'll probably want to use masking tape regardless of painting it or using a sharpie. How you want to get the canopy frame colored is up to you. But I would mask it to prevent "unsteady" hands.
  7. I found most of the translations via AnimeSuki's forums. 19.04 Seconds blog has other translations and scans (yet another anime blogger).
  8. Are we talking about Frontier or 7 or Zero? Cuz the topic title say Frontier and yet people are complaining about 7, Zero and going on a tangent with the 1/60 DXs toys, which has its own thread in the Toys area.
  9. I'm guessing there are some Flag engines in there to give it a get-away once Trans-Am is used up. It's got a lot of Flag-like parts on it. I doubt Ribbons had any involvement with the Tau drives. That was the Corner family's/faction doing. Ribbons appears to have saw the opportunity and took it. He told Corner in last season's finale that Corner's plan was now his plan. I see Ribbons as an opportunist. IIRC, the 00 Mechanical file released last month said that the Tau drives were not capable of Trans-Am at their current tech level. And the book was written for season 1 so they've had 4 years to play with GN drives so their tech level may have improved since then. Eifman only made hand-written notes about going Trans-Am that Billy found in Eifman's house. He probably guessed that the drives could do what we now call Trans-Am but he never lived long enough to see it.
  10. Perhaps the 35th Anniversary. I don't see a Blu-Ray release coming anytime soon.
  11. There's also the potential that the RVF-25 doesn't have head lasers. And I'm sure they'll be a B-page.
  12. Eifman figured it out. Trans-Am isn't hard to figure out since it's basically just maxing-out and releasing the GN particle production. Yep. It may run out of energy before it runs out of GN particles but when it runs out, but yeh, Grah...Mr Bushido's MS is gonna fall out of the sky when he runs out. The Tau-drives are basically rechargeable batteries. They use electricity they get from a base to create GN particles. The Gundams, with their real GN drives, have semi-perpetual engines so they are constantly generating electricity which means they can charge up GN particles without going back to base. Hence, duck-and-cover until they recharge.
  13. I would suggest finding a part-time job to offset the lost of income as importing models can be fairly expensive. Hobby Search can be cheaper than HLJ at times, but since you are still importing, your costs for importing a kit via EMS (SAL doesn't have tracking normally) is around $15-$20/kit.
  14. I think that's RDM's style. ST:DS9 was similar like that. It was serialized. You had to watch previous episodes to figure out what was going on. BSG is the same way. Without some knowledge of previous episodes, it makes it hard to figure out why things are happening now. A new viewer may come on and wondered why Adama was playing a drinking game with Tigh, calling him a talking down Helen, wanting Tigh to shoot him, and the new viewer would probably not really understand that sequence. You would have to dig back a while to find out that Tigh isn't just Adama's XO, you would find out they've been friends since the 1st Cylon war. The breaks just feel like the issue, it's RDM's way of telling a story.
  15. Now that's a copy-paste typo if I haven't seen one.
  16. Isn't this book suppose to be mostly character stuff, IIRC?
  17. Time for Keyhole. I can taste the lag already... -Ya! Freshverse is up. 1st half 2nd half New ending theme. I like this theme more than the new OP. Epilogue + next week
  18. Since we don't have a date on Starcraft II, the specs I listed will definitely last you a while. And if it's late enough, those specs may be out-of-date by the time Starcraft II comes to market. Edit: INTEL BX80571E7300 Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66 GHz 1066 MHz Socket 775 3MB Desktop Processor Retail (from ZipZoomFly.com) GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL6D-4GBNQ - Retail Rosewill RP550V2-S-SL 550W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply - Retail MSI N9600GT-T2D512-OC GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail(sale on this one for this weekend only) If you want to forgo Starcraft II, you might want to consider integrated video and replacing the motherboard + video, RAM and PSU with these. ASUS P5N7A-VM LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 9300/nForce 730i HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail or GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 9400 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Transcend 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model JM4GDDR2-8K - Retail Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2DB 500W ATX12V Power Supply - Retail Integrated video isn't that bad, as long as it's not Intel integrated video. If you want to factor out Starcraft II and gaming, completely, I could go with an older, cheaper chipset than the nForce 730/Geforce 9300/9400. You can do some minor gaming with the Geforce 9400 at respectable framerates (Search Youtube for gaming on the new Aluminum Macbooks) without dropping more money down for a GeForce 9600. So it's something to consider in case you wish to forgo the Geforce 9600.
  19. Unfortunately, the specs for Starcraft 2 haven't been released yet. Edit: This should get you started: Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80580Q9400 - Retail GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK - Retail Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W Power Supply - Retail EVGA 01G-P3-1281-AR GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail You didn't say whether or not you wanted to go with DDR2 or DDR3 for memory so I went with DDR2. I still don't find Blu-Ray burners as affordable. DVD burners/Blu-Ray player combo drives are an alternative but I would rather do the full burner. I decided to go with the GTX 285 since I don't know what Starcraft II would like. Now there may be a better card out when Starcraft II comes out but until that day comes, the GTX 285 should work out. The power supply is cheap with the $40-rebate and best of all, the GTX 285 goes back to the olde 6-pin PCIe power plug so it uses less juice. Until the Core i7s come down in price, I would stick with the Core2 Quad.
  20. Bandai Hobbysite's PG Astray page
  21. WB, Fox make deal for 'Watchmen', Warner to open superhero film March 6 (Variety) A joint statement is expected to be released sometime Friday.
  22. The original print is nearing the 25-year mark. I would say it's probably time they remastered it, especially for Blu-Ray. It's probably a matter of time, not will they. The Bandai catalog is as big as any Hollywood studio catalog so give them time. Maybe at the 30th anniversary.
  23. Practically a whole 2 pages of license debate talk.... Either make it a short answer or direct them to the License debate thread. Thank you. Come again.
  24. Didn't they mention that in web clip.....
  25. Think of it this way, it will be okay to let the kids touch it without fear of something breaking.
