  1. On the bright side, the Odyssey-class is now canon.
  2. Intel ARC GPU A770 & A750 reviews...Day late and dollar too much today. Had they come out 12-18 months earlier before supply issues leveled out and crypto crashed, they would have been a better value proposition versus the RTX 3060 and RX 6600/6650. Drivers being immature also did not help. They’re good, but they need more time to mature.
  3. I wouldn't want to see Palpatine that much or he should be used appropriately. So when it pertains to Mon Mothma and the Senate as a whole would be where I expect the character to show up. Anywhere else would seem out of place (Like Vader. He should only show up when Jedi are causing more trouble than Inquisitors can handle or something close to the Emperor's chest comes up, i.e., the Death Star. Anywhere else would feel inconsistent). That's nice. Me? I’m looking at this show as a whole and there are still 8 more episodes this season and a second season still coming. There's still plenty of time to nose-dive or completely hit it out of the park so I'll touch on this once we get there. But its beginning took way too long to get to this week. At least they released the first 3 episodes in one blast or that would have really have turned me off by the time we got to Episode 4.
  4. Perhaps RE-release. There was a blu-ray release in 2013. Unfortunately we don't know if the North America-release will be based on the 2013 release or a new remaster. Anime Limited did not say when asked.
  5. Stadia Announcement FAQ 🤣 I'm just surprised it took this long.
  6. 😬☝️ In the 6 years since Delta aired, the info on Macross Elysion is still the the same sparse info we had back in 2016.
  7. This show takes place so far back, anything it does could lead up to Jackson's films. The Hobbit takes place just shy of 3000 years into the Third Age. Judging by some plot elements, this show takes place somewhere in the tail-end of the Second Age, which is still...300 years left to go (assuming they can follow the Tolkein timeline).
  8. Vajra are not humanity's friends. Nor are they enemies. Like any good bee hive, they decided we're too nosy and decided to pack up and go somewhere where they can live in peace and quiet. No they didn't give us a way to communicate with them. Humanity kinda guess that themselves. And don't call them. They'll call us.
  9. REMINDER: Posting torrent or file sharing links are not allowed on this site. This site has members who worked on these productions and would appreciate it if you supported their efforts, legally. Thank you.
  10. Intel's 13th-gen announced. On sale on October 20. Intel’s 13th-gen “Raptor Lake” CPUs are official, launch October 20 The 13600k and 13700k are seeing price hikes while the 13900k is seeing no price change. The expectation is they will be faster than Ryzen 7000, and judging by the power specs, probably just as warm as 12th gen.
  11. I hope someone on the writing staff is watching these kills montages... Yes, I know the kill montage videos of Last of Us 2 are better and who won't want to see Bella Ramsey pulling some of those kills but I hope they do some awesome kill scenes.
  12. IIRC, there's a bit more to the Elves coming from Valinor to Middle-Earth that was not covered/glossed over in the show. That would be an example of where the licensing restrictions come in.
  13. Reviews for AMD's Ryzen 7000-series are out. Overall, yes they smoke Intel's 12th gen and do so using less power (which may also hold true for 13th gen). But yeah, they're smokin' hot. AMD is recommending at least a 240mm AIO (or a chunky tower cooler, but better with liquid cooling) for the 7900X and above and a good tower cooler for the 7700X and 7600X (mostly due to a change in how they boost, it will hit thermal limit before frequency limits). Other downsides are DDR5-only support and oddly, the 5800X3D. Apparently that 3D V-cache is holding up versus the new chips (which makes one want to wait for the 7800X3D). 🤔 So if the 5800X3D is a viable upgrade for your aging system...get that instead of the new chips.
  14. Why? I get they never adapted the entire manga to animation properly...but why?
  15. As I said, moral of the 1st 3 episodes, when your boss tells you to do not waste your time on a matter, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON IT.
  16. That will depend on your budget willingness. GPU+CPU will already be in the $1300+ range (if 13th-gen Intel holds pricing with current 12th-gen + RTX 4080-12GB). Without any reviews on the RTX 4000-series cards, we don't know what kind of true performance gains you'll see over a RTX 3000-series. Add a PSU capable of the load you'll be drawing will put you into the $1500+ range. And we haven't even gotten to RAM and motherboard.
  17. Yes...definitely a slow buildup. The only thing I got out of these first 3 episodes is, when your boss tells you drop a subject and just come up with an excuse, you frakin' drop the subject. Or to borrow for another Disney property: 2 episodes could have been save by ☝️ , but noooooo...
  18. It's not so much continuous use that's the problem. Computer parts do know how to dial back power usage when idle. It's times of sustained loads and/or transient spikes where you're gonna see the light-flickering effect (i.e. using a microwave or turning on that hair dryer). And it's not just the GPU but the CPU and every other component sucking power. Nvidia, Intel, and AMD all need to be thrown under the bus for the increases in power usage. We're not there yet, but you won't be needing a space heater anymore with these new GPUs.
  19. Or any companies' presentation slides for that matter. Best to wait until reviewers get their hands on it. My hot take on the RTX 4000 is, unless your wallet is burning a hole through your pants, it's probably not worth it.
