Must have been a project to mount that on the ceiling. Sitting upside-down probably didn't help either. Unless you plan on running a 64-bit version of Windows (any version, XP/Vista/7), your first (and cheapest) option of the 2GB kit is probably the best. This would bring your total system memory to 3GB (if you plan on keeping the 1GB that's in there already). If you decide to go with the faster RAM, remove the current 1GB in your system and only use the 4GB set. But as noted, you'll only be able to use 3.2~3.5 GB of it.

Exactly. And WB & Maguire Entertainment can just sit on the license if they don't want to proceed. Eventually, the license will expire and revert back to HG, at which time, HG can go shopping again. Why go through the courts when you can just sit on a project. If they don't want to spend the time and money to produce, they can sit on it. Happens all the time.

Actually, there is a limitation. 2^64 = 16.8 million terabytes. It will be quite a while before we hit that ceiling. Our largest RAM configurations only scratch that number.

G-skill is pretty good. Before I say anything, do you plan on using 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows?

Actually, with Vista, they started bundling tablet functionality instead of making a separate OS just for tablets. Win7 is just continuing the trend. That's usually one of the first services I turn off since I don't use tablets.

In the words of an Alaskan governor, "You betcha." But be aware that there may not be any Win7 drivers for the newer hardware out there. The beta that you can download is a full version of Win7 Ultimate edition.

I normally just use the Windows defragging program. I use to use a 3rd-party program, but I found it to be extraneous and got rid of it to make my life easier. Same with CCleaner. I install it, run it, then remove it after it's done. Since Win7 is still beta and many companies haven't put out versions of programs that work with Win7, I'd avoid those programs. Most of them actually do a good job but since you're using Win7, and it's still beta, I won't recommend using those programs until they release Win7-compatible versions.

Exactly. It won't have been hard to make it into a PG-13 "summer" movie. The whole project may have just collapsed on itself so the director decided to just get out. If the project wasn't going anywhere and chances of it being revived were zero at this point, I would jump off the sinking ship. Maybe he just doesn't have the time for it.

Akira could have been dumb-downed to a PG-13. For all we know, the price tag could have been more than what the studio was willing to pay. Or Ruairi Robinson may have decided he wasn't ready for a Hollywood-size director's chair. Three short films (and I mean less than 10 min-short) may have made him rethink whether or not he wanted to proceed with this project.

I think the key is to remember, everybody sees things differently. It is an art form. People are going to see different things when you see a painting. Here's a Monet: Not everyone is going to look at it in the exact same way. Kawamori is treating Macross the same way. He's offering the audience different views on a single piece. He's creating different interpretations for the audience. One version isn't necessarily wrong compared to another. There's also the Arthurian legend. There's a historical basis for the character, but many interpretations of the legend. The Thomas Malory-version tells it one way. The Alfred Tennyson-version tells it another. One version of story says Guld played a game of chicken with the Ghost X-9. Another says he crashed into it. One version may have Michael dying in front of Klan. Another may have him dying farther away with Klan only seeing it from afar. There are certain facts in the story but how those events come to be is subject to interpretation. A good modern example is Band of Brothers. Historically inaccurate at times but it accomplished telling a story within the fabric of historical events.

Even what he's smokin not real. It's just a drama of some guy playing some writer/producer name Shoji Kawamori, and you're watching some get stoned off his ass and coming up with some hit show named Macross.

It's all a Truman Show or Matrix or some weird version of .hack//sign. See, right now, there are guys name Alto Saotome, Hikaru Ichijo and some guy who only goes by the username of Kamujin who are watching us right now. Or heck, they're playing some Sims avatar named Gubaba, Seto Kaiba, and (who can I pick on...) Macross007. They're all posting on a virtual forum, in a virtual world about some virtual show.

. But since this is a adaption, I can't be sure.

I usually ignore that score. Cuz Vista had that silly thing and it's not the hardware's fault.

The official movie comic adaption is out and done as of this week. A number of things are missing from the comic compared to the TV spots, preview clips and whatnot. Looks like they're making plenty of room for another one, of course.

What the official site says is it's "equal to a 400m-class medium-sized vessel". Meanwhile, the Official File #1 mentions it and the VF-25S kit manual say it's "approximately 450m" or about 1/4th the size of a carrier. The Official Fanbook says specifically "about 400m". So "450" is probably the actual number while the description can get away with "about 400..."

Considering that you need to be 13-15 years old and be interested in video production or possibly wanting to make it a career choice.....

They're unnecessary to build the kit with. However, if you were going to make alterations to the kit, those parts may be necessary.
