Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Model Kit Thread Ver.3
azrael replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Considering the kits are selling well and we got more on the way..it's not surprising. Can't showcase a Gundam MSV every issue ya know... -
Speaking for the Compendium, we don't even list Ohnogi anywhere near Frontier and I don't see that changing. If it ain't on the page, it ain't on the stage.

Alto's dress caught in an updraft.....I'm more sorry for the guy in the EX-Gear doing the fly-by....wait till he sees the front side... And I assume that Nanase's ass/panty shot is for your Gubaba...

They had a director? Chuck Roven was one of the producers before he bailed on the project.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_production If this guy's screenplay/script doesn't work out, they find a new guy to write a new one. They could make dozens of screenplays and not go anywhere. They could commission artists and make thousands of designs and still not go anywhere. It's wash-rinse-repeat until they go with a certain writer's screenplay and then get that green-lighted.

No time like the present to start reading his book. No screenplay/script, no movie. So we're still where we were last week. And the world just keeps turning. In that case, we have a reason to call Protoculture "some wacky flower", "weed", or "Whatever you're smokin, <insert witty remark here>".

Even as a reference, it still doesn't work because Frontier showed us that new fold boosters are being developed and that figure would no longer apply. And what if the creators said more energy into a fold system would make it go faster or any other technobabble. Then that figure no longer applies. The creators left themselves these loopholes to avoid running into these kinds of issues. That's why they never wrote very much on certain subjects. Most of us have maintained that RPG info is designed specifically for the game and not for argument/debate purposes (unless you are arguing about the game, in which case, call the company that made the game). Otherwise, gamers have no sense of time or constraints. Game makers have to make constraints, otherwise it would be no fun and I can roll a 1D20 to hit and spent the entire round emptying the gun or ammo or just say I teleport, attack with my sword, and cast a fireball spell, then summon a colony of giant flesh-eating ants to tear my opponent down to -120 hitpoints, all in the same round.

Check your motherboard manufacturer. It's not that you can't. It's more like "you shouldn't". The chance that you may overload the circuit increases if you daisy chain your power, which would cause the circuit breaker to kick in, causing you to lose power to part or all of your home, making you get up off your chair, go down to the switch and turn it back on, hoping nothing blows up when you turn the power back on. -

Wattage monitor? Nope. There are wall outlet monitors. Most motherboard manufacturers package a voltage monitoring software with the motherboard. Are you trying to daisy-chain your power strips together? -
It's still RPG info.

I've always found the M+/M7-era interpretation of fold-in/defolding to be one I can agree with. They swap space with super dimension space, then swap that space back with real space. Kinda like Battlestar Galactica's FTL SFX. The portal/tunnel effect gives a better feel of "fold in" and when they leave, "defold"/"fold out" because they are entering and leaving SD space. That's what folding is; entering, traveling, then leaving SD space. I'm surprised they haven't used the Star Trek warp-effect yet.
-
The only number we have concerning fold is that for every hour spent in super dimension space, 10 days pass in normal space. And I'm not sure how we can define super dimension space in light years.

As I said, they may just showcase scratch-built kits. A scratch-built Anf, various Tierens models, Flag variants, Enact variants, Hellion, Alvatore/Alvaaron, 0 Gundam, GN-X III, and even a scratch-built 00 show up in the Gundam 00 Archive yet no model exists for it or none was produced at the time the book went to print. This is a Dengeki Hobby book. They will scratch-build it if they must. Also, I won't put too much thought into "Archive". That's just marketing.

They would be riding on Transformers 2: RotF's coattails for the LAM. But yes, movies based on old franchises or adapted from cartoons isn't holding much water right now. Cartoon-wise, they would be on their own. Both Macross and Gundam shows ended a while ago. But Gundam 00's second season will start airing on Sci-Fi on June 29th. Even with that, you can't be sure. Normally, a cartoon would follow a live action flick if it wants some good recognition. But a cartoon eventually will have to stand on its own once a live-action goes away. Transfromers: Animated held its ground fairly well after the live-action movie faded to DVD. So would it be good timing? Dunno. A cartoon may not have as much recognition on its own without a live-action movie. For a live-action movie? There might be a market saturation if they do and will ultimately be decided by the market as to how well it might do.

It's actually suppose to be faster for smaller file systems head repositioning. Instead of indexing a MFT the size of a 320 GB hard drive, you can partition off a 100GB and index that faster than a 320GB partition or make the head move less since the reading head only has to access a small area as oppose to a large partition with lots of room to access. I've used this method for years and I've never had a problem with it. -
Another thing to keep in mind is when M7 came on, that was almost 14 years ago. Those people who watched it then are now in their late 20s now. Even kids who would have watched it back then are now college kids. It's like asking us "Do you remember EXO Squad or Star Trek:TNG?" I watched a few clips on Youtube and the thought "Oh yeah, I remember that" pops into my head. Heck, I'm starting to forget most of the minor details of RDM's BSG now and that show ended months ago. So I'm not surprised that people have forgotten M7. In another year or 2, people will start to forget about Macross Frontier (TV).

Ironhide died in your version of the first movie? Whoa that's a change. -
New MG Exia images. I can make the GN-drive pull a R2 move by un-clamping it.

Maybe? It will probably be like the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Archives. 1/2 or more of it will be dedicated to the 1/72 models and scratch-built kits while the remainder will be the animation lin art, model lineart and commentary. I have the Gundam 00 Archives and it only covers Season 1 but 2/3 of the book is dedicated to models. I expect the same with this book. Most of it will be models (This is a Dengeki Hobby book after all) and the rest will be the CG lineart which is out there and then the 1/72 model lineart which is floating out there.

Then we get into the Micro-ATX sizes. If you want that size, then I can rework some of it. The size of video cards today kinda forces us to pick a mid-ATX cases. The other option is to get a lower-end card, like a 9-series GeForce. 4870s are going down in price. Not cheaper than that though. The lowest P45/P43 board is this guy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128380 Actually, I would look around for a cheaper one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817182185 I've had Seagates last on me but after that whole firmware fiasco, one can never be sure. I've also had some Western Digitals that don't want to die. -
