The VF-22S entry (M7 UN mechanical sheet 5A) in Issue #24 does clarify what they're talking about. The BDI system assists the pilot with weapon systems, chaff decoys/flares, and other stuff during combat when high-Gs are required. So it's not really needed to fly the plane. It's darn helpful, but going back from what we knew, the VF-22 is still a manual-controlled plane.

There's VMWare Server. It's free. But I don't know if it works well with Windows 7 though. There's also Sun's VirtualBox. I hear the free version works pretty well. Although, you might want to stay away from the 3.0.x versions since I hear there seem to be some nasty problems. The version 2.2.x software I hear still works fine.

Knoppix is good as a live-CD. I haven't actually used it installed on a machine but it makes for a pretty workable live-CD for data recovery, developer/testing, or just anytime I need a Linux system up and running quick. I think mikeszekely is looking for something a little more long-term for his VM though.

99%-sure it's a repaint. Heck I can't begin to describe how many times Bandai has done that to Gunpla in different colors. I remember when I went and got a MG RGM-79C GM Kai Ground-colors once and then as soon as I finished repainting it in Space-colors, they came out with the Space-colors version. They even pulled that on me when I got MG RX-178 v2. As soon as I preordered the AEUG-colors kit, they announced the Titans-color version.
