  1. Sounds like a Star Wars fanboy.
  2. Meh. They have nothing to talk about so talk devolves into talk about pedos and moes. If ya want a real issue to talk about, how about the health of RT women and what all that silicon weight is doing to their backs. Or the rampant drug protoculture use.
  3. Probably because it reveals the 30mm gun located in the nose.
  4. We've actually had it for quite a while. It appeared on the MF trading cards, the TV series Official File books, and the 1/28 Character 40MHz RC Klan Klang Toyota Supra (they even wrote it in Zentradi too)
  5. It's the YF-25 Prophecy, not the YF-24. From the looks of it, it will be a full game, but it's gonna feel like half-a-game. Looks like it might just be focused on stuff from the movie.
  6. Kawamori probably feels otherwise. He's spent a lot of time with them (3 shows) and probably feels he's told the story he wants to with them. That's probably the whole point of Birler's Minmay locket. That's his nod to those characters. Personally, with the vast size of the Macross-universe, I feel that there's more stories out there that don't involve the same repetitive characters. Everyone's got a story so why not look beyond Hikaru-Minmay-Misa. And the legend continues...
  7. 1) USA and Japan are the same Blu-Ray region so you can watch it without modding. 2) Games are region-free. Menu translations will probably be needed.
  8. Talk to kresphy. He could probably give you an answer about China...
  9. Makin' this thread into the 2nd movie talk thread. Carry on.
  10. Well...they're called dumb-phones... So the LG or Samsung phones aren't fitting your bill? Tell that to the 18% of Crackberry users or the 41% Symbian users... What can I say, smartphones are growing very rapidly.
  11. If anything, Macross Zero would refute such a notion that it was due Robotech.
  12. Considering it's Acrobat Reader and not Acrobat Pro, have you tried to just uninstall the whole thing and download a newer version?
  13. Ummmmm...Are we sure Gamlin wasn't planet hopping, or conversely, are we sure Gamlin went to Zola directly? Are we sure he wasn't just given a bearing and told, he's somewhere in this area?
  14. Considering they did leak the level overview way back and what not, I still expect someone to actually be working on it in their spare time, even if it's still vaporware.
  15. Really though, it's just a warranty issue.
  16. ebayisapi.dll? Cuz that's a ebay script. Like so: https://scgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RegisterEnterInfo http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/25/39151-firefox-1-5-ebay-ebayisapi-dll.html By chance, are you using a proxy server? In Internet Explorer, Tools->Internet Options->"Connections" tab-> look for "LAN Settings"-> look for "Proxy Server". Ideally, "Use proxy server for your LAN" should be unchecked (unless this is a work environment and forced to use it by your workplace) and everything in this area should be grayed out. If this area is filled in and and this is not a workplace computer, then we might have a problem.
  17. From Ngee Khiong Guess we should have realized which MGs are in the pipeline:
  18. Maybe it's your ISP??? Doing a traceroute, it I get to BBC in 16 hops. MW only takes me 14 hops. Open a Command Prompt. Type in (without quotations) "tracert bbc.co.uk" and it should trace where it goes to get to BBC.
  19. Yep. This is with AdBlock+, NoScript (blocking quantserve.com and doubleclick.net), a tweaked Firefox, and a modified host file for additional blocking (from here). Chrome finished loading a second faster. On my laptop, Firefox (w/ AdBlock Plus) took 10~11 seconds to load BBC. Safari took about ~16 seconds to load due to loading an ad. And with the Firefox tweeks, I shaved off about 3 seconds.
  20. Only did 6 seconds in Firefox for me. : You can set the location bar (URL field) to only show your bookmarks instead of your history. Tools->Options->Privacy. Look for "Location Bar" and change "When using location bar, suggest:" to something besides "History" or "History and Bookmarks".
  21. I loaded Boeing's page in Firefox in about 9-10 seconds with nothing cached. Chrome loaded it in about 11 seconds. Reloading from cache with Firefox was about 3 seconds. There are tweaks you can make to Firefox's about:config to hopefully speed it up. You might want to try some of those. Speeding up Firefox the right way A handful of Firefox tweaks that will double your browser speed Chrome is a nice fast and somewhat light browser, but I find its customization to be dreadfully lacking. Simple things like clearing the cache/history/cookies on exit has to be done with an extension or be stuck in viewing in Incognito-mode ("Porn"-mode/Privacy mode/whatever you wanna call it). Adblocking extensions only block it from view, not block from loading. I switched to Chrome as my secondary browser over Opera. That's my $0.02.
  22. It's a general disclaimer. Some items cannot be imported/exported to due import/export restrictions. It's on every page of AmiAmi's English site. If I were to buy a Seburo M-5 pistol made by Poseidon from Poesidon or any other distributor, they would not be able to sell to me due to import/export restrictions on firearms and prop-firearm sales. Other products can also carry that restriction. You're reading WAY too much into it. If you notice, the hybrid Blu-ray is listed under "Games". Macross Ace Frontier and Macross Ultimate Frontier are also games and guess what: "We're sorry; this item can not be shipped outside Japan". If I wanted a Japanese copy of Windows 7 from Amazon, guess what? "We're sorry; this item can not be shipped outside Japan". What if I want Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP from Amazon? "We're sorry; this item can not be shipped outside Japan". As you can see, it's just software sales restriction. And because the hybrid Blu-ray has a copy of Macross Trial Frontier for PS3, it's software, so Amazon will not import it. Now if Amazon listed it as a movie release, they would probably sell it overseas. Speaking of which folks, HMV has the Hybrid Pack up for pre-order. Still no sign of the regular Blu-Ray or DVD preorder yet. Do I have to buy the Hybrid pack?
  23. I'm sorry, why are we arguing about what an OVA/OAV is? It's a direct-to-home-video release. That's all it is for crying out loud. Japanese do it one way, Yanks do it another. Either way it's a "direct-to-home video release". Good grief. It's like someone saying "pOOtato" vs. "pAtato".
