You know what? If yui1107 wants to do this pointless endeavor, let her do it and put her on your ignore list so that you never have to see her machine translated posts again. It's obvious that 1) there's a language barrier issue 2) she doesn't understand what's going on and, 3) she has no standing in this issue anyways. If you want to respond to her, do it in PM instead of wasting space here.

Gunpla Builders looks fun. Why not have a series about people who build one of the most well know model kits in Japan? Now you can actually have your Char-custom Zaku II fight against Johnny Ridden-custom Gelgoog.

Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
azrael replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
Just check the torrent sites a few days after the movie comes out. Good grief... -
That's due to the fact that a big restructuring is happening to DC Entertainment as I mentioned earlier. (Article #2, Article #3). WB is going to focus on how to use DC and its properties to venture out beyond movies. Which probably means RT comics will probably be published through DC Comics directly (however, it may or may not necessarily be through the DC Comics imprint). I do forsee a number of possibilities that will probably come out but those will probably have to wait for till I see how WB plans to explore the DC Comics' and Vertigo Comics' properties.

Ideally, that's the point of this thread...however... I would say it's more like, does she even comprehend what we're talking about and how this even affects either side of the pond.

There's a quite a few free backup software out there that you can use to do backups. And they work just as well as the commercial stuff (schedule backups, do full or incremental, etc...) Just reinstall. Start from scratch. Well, either the OS files are corrupt or you have hardware failure. Is SMART enabled on the system? -

It's normally a software problem. Usually a corrupt BOOT.ini file. It can be a bad cable, but that's not as common. Best thing to do is backup and reinstall the OS provided the fix doesn't work (and it looks like it didn't). If you have another computer, you can use that to format the drive. This will probably tell you if there are any bad sectors on the hard drive. And don't do a quick format. A low-level format will probably cure bad sectors, unless there's physical errors. Formatting the drive will probably tell you whether or not you'll need a new hard drive. As for a new hard drive, either Western Digital or a Seagate should be fine. -
And spending 5 minutes on Wikipedia would also point to that. In fact, it covers considerable detail (and provides sources) over its rushed production.

DC to play bigger role at Warner Bros. Even I said this before an article like this came out. Heck...most people outside of Japan haven't seen the Frontier movie... And by "thrown out", it means stored in a file, then eventually boxed and archived, or in the modern era, backed up and placed on a server some where in cloud space. What happens is, they hire guys like Kasdan or Miller and Gough to write up a treatment (a very long outline, say 30-80 pages). The writer turns in their work and are paid. End of story. Next job please. If the studio finds someone who wants to do this, they'll call back in the writer(s) and then those guys will make a script/screenplay out of the original treatment that was turned in. A good example is Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman work. He wrote something up, turned it in, got paid, WB decided to not move forward with it for now and that's it.

Considering what Hollywood wants out of their "epic" movies.... Avatar was in the $300-million (minus actors' payment, development, marketing, blah blah blah, just straight production) ballpark. And that was just for 1 movie. I've heard it that it was in the $500-million-range and that may be the actual total cost over all those years Cameron was working at it. Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen was in the $200-million range. I think it's more along the lines that WB would rather focus on their DC Comics properties than an untested property like Robotech.

The guy in the review sounds like he's gonna make love to the thing as soon as the camera stops rolling... -
Ummmm, yeah. DNF isn't due out till 2011. Yhatzee was posting a mock review of the game and a commentary over how long it's taken for it to come out. The game just had a release date confirmed at PAX a couple of weeks ago with a live demo.

Isn't it great what a 28-year improvement in "computer" graphics has done.

Yes, we knew that 2 years ago. Whom did you speak to and where did you talk to this person? As I've stated, Harmony Gold's business also involves third-party licensing of movies and TV shows in foreign countries. "Robotech" is like an active hobby to them. We can watch both only because they chose to release Macross/「超時空要塞マクロス」. We can watch Macross II/「超時空要塞マクロスII Lovers Again」 and Macross Plus/「マクロスプラス」 legally in the USA because a different company licensed those shows before HG got the "Macross" name trademarked. But we cannot legally watch Macross 7, Macross Zero, or Macross Frontier because a lot of money would be needed to get around HG's trademark and other issues involving licensing. I'm not sure how or why you would want to introduce Robotech as a "Secondary continuity title" considering that the 3 shows used to produce "Robotech" originally came from Japan. Unless you are referring to using the live-action movie to do it. Do you remember a movie called "Godzilla", starring Matthew Broderick that premiered in 1998? Do you know how Toho, Inc. felt about how their classic monster was portrayed? See "Godzilla Final Wars"/「ゴジラ ファイナルウォーズ」 or the clip below: <param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3s5I1zK2RY?fs=1&hl=en_US"> Tell HG to let go their trademark and then we'll talk.

She probably never really understood this thread probably due to machine or broken engrish translations and we couldn't understand her cuz of her engrish. It probably would be easier for her (and us) if she just posted in Japanese instead of trying post broken English. Her knowledge also seem to have stemmed from RDF-HQ or RT.com or whatever RT sites are out there.
