HG would have to get a cut just like any other anime licensor, otherwise, no company out there would want to distribute anime in the US, period. You have to ask, how much of a cut but more importantly, would Tatsunoko get any of that money. If Tatsunoko gets any of that money, they would have a financial stake to the Macross-franchise, which they are not suppose to have beyond SDF Macross and whatever merchandise came out of DYRL?. While HG's actions may have instigated the legal action, the fight was solely between BW and Tatsunoko. If Tatsunoko were to get any money from the franchise beyond SDFM and DYRL? merchandise, that would probably be a the deal breaker. Getting money for something you bought and exploited is fine. But having any of that profit going to a 3rd party who wasn't involved at all and just sat on their asses to collect money? That ain't right. I can't even see Ark Angel being a Battle 7 rip-off superficially. Like Jasonc said, it really looks like it's just a Mospeada design shoe-horned into a SDF-1 transformation.

I really don't know how some of you see a Macross 7 design in that. Reminds me of something out of the reimaged Battlestar Galactica. Battle 7 looks like and is a carrier. That thing looks like Galactica's silhouette with flight pods retracted.

In fact, if our Japanese users want to read it, Chapter 1 is available from the Dengeki Hobby website. You'll need the Crochet plugin, which you can also get of Dengeki Hobby's website. And it's available for everyone (even our USA users) to view as well. But it's in Japanese.

She's a pure-blood Zentradi with SMS's Apollo platoon/squad/squadron. And it's a side-story about a sporting competition where people compete with VFs. The male protagonist of the story, Hakuna Aoba, competes a VF-1 for example. I expect to see lots of customized VF models from this novel like most of Dengeki Hobby stories.

If you didn't want this moved into the newbie thread, you would stop making threads of short questions.

The Glossary pages in the Chronicle mention that SWAG/ECA requires a large amount of energy to run and VFs and Destroids don't have that margin of output to operate it so it's treated as a secondary defensive component. The VF-0A's article also mentions that 90% of the EGF-127's output is dedicated ECA in the VF-0's battroid mode. And that's just to give it armoring close to a tank's. In GERWALK mode, ECA operates at a level that is close to an attack helicopter. So it's a scale. In Fighter mode, because the electricity is used for flying, there's not enough for ECA operate effectively without help from a secondary component like a capacitor or more engines, so why have it on at all.

Not in their current state with conventional engines. However, from texts, we know they have limited they have limited operation underwater using rockets. But that's only launching from underwater. IIRC, the SV-52 would have been the SV-51 with reaction engines. More thrust, more weight, shorter cruising range. Which is why it needs a sub to get it in closer to combat. While the SV-51 may be more combat-oriented, it does have its own shortfalls.

See, I tell you people, the age of Facebook/Twitter and texting has ruined people's ability to sit and read. How is that pacifism? Weaponizing Song Energy did crush their ability and will to fight. Every time the Protodeviln were hit by it, they ran away. As are most of the protagonists in Gundam.

It looks like this only affects non-commercial parcels so no more having friends or family members sending purchases from Japan.

Couple of corrections. The VF-25 still works like all the previous generations of VFs, that is, no/zero/nada ECA in fighter mode, limited use in GERWALK mode, and 100% usage in Battroid mode. Only when adding the Armored pack, the VF-25 can use ECA in fighter mode due to the Armored Pack's capacitors. Only the VF-0A has mentioned the "mighty wing" mode thanks to the a capacitor installed in the VF-0A.

I'll chime in here. Ideally, yes, the lower the numbers, the better the performance. Lower latency is always good. But for that 75-90% of the market, it doesn't mean a thing. For enthusiasts, it means something. Not much. Considering those numbers are measured in nanoseconds, it's not going to mean much. Now if you were running a heavy set of calculations and computations, yes it would shave nanoseconds off the time spent doing math. -

Depends on what you want out of your browser. Throughts on browsers hasn't changed since this post I still like Firefox for its security through extensions. Chrome is the fastest but I find it lacks in the extensions-capabilities area due to the WebKit rendering engine. Opera is still a good alternative but I find it a pain to continually configure its blocking abilities. -

I'd advised against a netbook. Too small for new users. I would consider a minimum of 13" but 15" would be better for watching movies. The best processor in that price range you could probably get would be a Core i3 or the AMD V-series CPU. The AMD V-series would give you a slightly better deal since you'll get a Mobility Radeon GPU over the Intel graphics. For the AMD, I'd probably go with this one: Acer - Aspire Laptop AS5252-V333 AMD V-Series processor V140* 2GB DDR3 SDRAM 15.6" LCD high-definition widescreen display 250GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm) ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit -
Let's just get back to hazing the FNG. *hint hint*

I thought M7's length was fine and Frontier was short. But then again, I'm use to series that run into the 75+ episode-range and think kids these days suffer from ADD. Naruto is 220 episodes long and kids these days complain about M7 being too long. M7 is a frakin' cake-walk compared to a show like Naruto.

I've had good experiences with Cisco/Linksys and Netgear. Haven't ventured beyond those 2 brands at the moment. -
No. Early models used composite armor while post-SWI models, which mounted a thermonuclear reaction engine, were capable of using energy converting armor.

Yeah, but Archer was commenting on a non-main character PGs. Nothing more non-main character than the PG MS-06F Zaku II, i.e the cannon fodder version.
