According the comments, apparently someone in Argentina is doing a fan-film, with HG's blessing...Good for them...if you can call a fan-film good for RT fandom. Guess this is all they have to show for themselves, a poorly-made, decent-selling DVD which produced nothing afterwards and a fan-film.

Stone Says Spidey Has Mechanical Webshooters She doesn't say much which makes me wonder about her answer. Take it as you will. -
Considering what I've read of the movie's idea, not really. Aliens come to Earth, kick the crap out of Earth's greatest military powers, then leave. Earth spends the time licking their wounds and building weapons for the next alien invasion 10 months later. Sounds like a throw-away action flick. Hell, "EDF" might not even be the film's final title.

Actually, that's probably how it's going to do it. It will probably wager accordingly to how it does in the category, assuming it has or can answer correctly in the category. If it calculates a high probability of getting the answer right, that confidence score will weigh in on how much it will bet. So let's say it's been answering all the questions correctly in that category correctly and all of its answers have had a confidence score of >90%, then it would make its bet accordingly, i.e., let's say >75% of its earnings. As for how it will do in Final Jeopardy!, when there's nothing pre-existing to calculate against, I'm still waiting for that answer.

The Amazing Spider-Man, on Blu-Ray/DVD Nov. 9, 2012

The Raimi-movie suits actually were pretty darn close to the comics so the new suit actually feels like a departure from the comics and the previous movies. The previous suit probably looked like armor because the stuntmen wore muscle-pad inserts in the suit. Garfield has a thinner physique so it probably feels less like a someone in a "suit of armor". About the web-shooters? There's talk of some budges on his wrists. Also someone has made a gamma-enhanced version of the pick: -
Some better video (and a shot with the confidence score on IBM's monitor) IBM's Watson supercomputer destroys all humans in Jeopardy practice round (video!)

Favorite VF pilot? (not necessarily the best)
azrael replied to Xx-SKULL-ONE-xX's topic in Movies and TV Series
Mod Warning This thread, as I've read it, is suppose to be about your favorite VF pilot, NOT about what happened between Myung, Guld, and Isamu. In fact, there's a thread about that. If you can't keep it in its respective threads, then I will start closing threads. -

I'll just say Garfield certainly has that "Ultimate Spiderman"-physique. I would like to see the mask before commenting on the the costume though. -
Did you PM boinger or visit the links in his signature? You'll probably want to consider that.

There are some artifacts due to Jpeg compression but that's about what the Start menu looks like, Classic theme, 1280x1024. I've seen it on a 1680x1050 monitor and it looks the same, size-wise. -
So he wants to "attract" the Gundam-crowd too huh? Wow. Where's my popcorn?

Frankly, I see being in a dark theater with people eating, screaming, and talking back to a series of images synced to an audio track "immersed" enough. There's an art to good film making. Making it 3D doesn't magically make it good.

Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
azrael replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
It's all fiction based on real events, even in the Macross-universe. If you tell it one way, you get the TV series. If you tell it another way, you get the movie. The truth is somewhere in between. -
Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition

I won't say we didn't like it, but we found some disconcerting flaws... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33953 -
What he said. And additionally, the VF-19EF Caliburn is also a Frontier fleet custom. So there isn't much on these 2 in the first place since there has only been 2 chapters released. And heck, the VF-19ACTIVE only just showed up in Chapter 2.

Actually, since you reminded me, Dengeki Hobby's 1st article on the series notes Reno Air Racing in some of its material. Inspiration for this series?

Considering it sounds like an open racing venue, I think it's safe to say they aren't flying stock VFs. And if they are flying stock, then I'm sure there are areas on the race track where there will be an equalizer. Hakuna is a champion racer (except in final competitions ) and all he's using is a VF-1. You could think of it like the Initial D-scenario. There's that one racer who's using an old machine. It may not have been the fastest or the newest machine on the race track, but it handled really well and when it came to those tight spots where handling trumps speed, that may the instance where it wins. That's one way to look at it.
