iFanboy's review of the pilot
-
In the end, interest and numbers drive whether or not a publication continues. Does Macross Ace have interesting material? Yes. Does it have enough interesting material to make a standalone publication? Probably no. As interest in Macross wanes with the 2nd Frontier movie now in theaters and with no new Macross anime coming, interest is disappearing. Less interest = less $$$. But at the same time, they have people working on the interesting material and cutting them off before they are given a chance to finish would be unfair. So why not move that material to a new publication to encourage people to buy that new one. That new publication could also be used to finish some of their on-hold material.

The Transformers 3 Thread--A Michael Bay Thread

I'll just leave this here: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/dark-of-the-moon-novel-summary-172277/ -
It's a Wonder Festival 2010 custom kit (i.e. fan-kit, limited or no-sale at the show). Items at Wonder Festival are normally garage kits. If you wanted it, you would have to have gone to the show to get it or contact the builder. The Summer Wonder Festival is slated for July 24th.

Ad-Block Plus and NoScript are your best friends. The paranoid way to avoid accidents like this would be to disable Javascript...but then most things on the 'Net won't work. -
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you might wanna change your passwords... again (PC Magazine)

Yeah. 7's UAC is nowhere near as annoying as Vista's. -
Perhaps that's because that wasn't written by the person(people) who wrote RTSC, but an actual subplot floating in the original Southern Cross storyline.

You should be able to save them. Can't remember if it was a setting or automatic. Classic Start menu = gone. Don't bother looking for it. There are hacks to get something resembling it but don't bother. If you play with Group Policy, you can get some classic functionality in there, but again, Classic Start menu = gone, don't look for it. I've actually gotten use to the freakin Start menu as it is in Window 7 now. Like with all new things, you'll have to adjust the settings to get it right. Thankfully, I abuse Group Policy to cut down my time in customizing. Make it Default behavior I say. Disable the phising filter/trusted hosts-thingy. It will bitch but that's what Firefox and Chrome are for. -
The whole "no-costume" thing only lasts so long before it becomes "So when does the costume show up?". As soon as the focus shifted to Metropolis and away from Smallville, then it should have ended. It was fun, but it should have ended when Metropolis showed up. Back to the subject...the pilot script got leaked and then the initial reactions to the show were disappointing, so in the end, lousy idea = lousy show.

Maybe Graham didn't want to miss anything while he's out.

Japan says no to PlayStation Network relaunch Perhaps it might be wise to wait?
-
It also best to keep in mind that the 1st Frontier movie saw a limited and slow spread across Japan. IIRC, the 2nd Frontier movie is being spread out the same way. Have you checked the Toys section?

Variable Fighter Master File VF-25 Messiah
azrael replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Movies and TV Series
HLJ likes to use "Discontinued" when they run out of stock and don't have an ETA on when they'll get more from their distributor. The book is new and they probably sold out quickly so I doubt it's been discontinued. I'd wait 2-3 weeks. They may get some more in that time. -

While it's nice to see a Emerald Force VF-25....I'm not fond of the markings. IMO, too much is happening with the black/white markings. I liked the simplicity of the VF-19-variant markings. -
That's also a lot of missiles to be fired at 1 target...

IIRC, Tom Bateman stated that it sold well enough to make a sequel, in his opinion. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=33067&view=findpost&p=886898 The sad part is, nothing materialized with the extra cash.

Looks like this show probably won't make it. UPDATE: NBC Picks Up Whitney Cummings & Emily Spivey Pilots, 'Smash' & 'Prime Suspect'
-
Probably not. Probably interviews and a feature on the history , cultural impact, etc.
-
I'll have to say, MG Epyon looks pretty damn good. And with MG Delta Plus....I might cancel MG ReZEL and jump to Delta Plus.... *grumbles*

I think the fact that many old titles haven't made it to Blu-ray is an indication. Keith has a good point, the print is probably going to need some work to make marketable for Blu-ray.

Actually, his later tweet kinda gives more to the story: So yes, Danny will be featuring Macross in an upcoming episode in Season 2 of Culture Japan. Stay tuned for details... Or follow Danny on Twitter and Facebook.
