  1. Yeah...sounds like they spent all the money on VFX and not the acting talent. Oh well, wasn't planning on spending money on this flick anyways. Heck, I probably won't bother with Captain America either.
  2. Yeah, Uso still holds the record for the 1st youngest Gundam pilot. The grandson character is the second 13-year old Gundam pilot.
  3. Well, now that Escapist isn't being DDoS'd, I figure this is good for a laugh. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unskippable/3538-Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic
  4. Ok, if Halo 4 isn't milking...this probably is
  5. I found that funny that someone actually responded to the rantings... and it sounds almost exactly what everyone else has been saying.
  6. Breaking this off the general Gundam show thread... Official site Premieres October 2011. Director: Susumu Yamaguchi Story Supervisor: Akihiro Hino Character Designs: Takuzō Nagano (original designs), Michinori Chiba Mechanical Design: Kanetake Ebikawa, Junya Ishigaki, Kenji Teraoka http://gundamguy.blo...am-age-new.html HG 1/144 & Mega Size 1/48 Gundam Age will be the initial releases this Fall... and MG 1/100 Gundam Age is being worked on. PV: http://www.nicovideo...atch/sm14732820 (you can use: http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html to view the PV on Nico)
  7. While I probably won't keep up with this show, the premise does hold some interesting tidbits. Level 5 to Help Create Gundam AGE Anime This Fall (Updated) (ANN) If the Corocoro article is correct about the premise, the concept of a generational war is something new to Gundam. Three main characters spanning 3 different time periods with 1 MS sounds interesting.
  8. It's still specifically written as "VF-4A-0", irregardless. That's what I was correcting. And as I later replied, I don't recall "VF-4A" being used anywhere else.
  9. The 1/60 never had an inner frame for starters. It sounds more like reluctance with V2. Like "They could do it now and regret it or they can wait and get it right".
  10. Keep hoping, but don't expect it anytime soon. Try this translation:
  11. Out of E3 2011 comes this: Just when you think there's nothing left to milk... WHY??????
  12. Tell that to the user at Animesuki who posted the highlights....
  13. None that I can recall. The only things I can recall in any setting have used "VF-4...." or "VF-4G...". I really haven't seen much in terms of letter-designations for the VF-4. We can't really trust Wikipedia since they don't list the source. At the same time, who knows if those sources are valid now. If you want to look around, then I'd suggest these references: Macross Flashback 2012 Graffiti Great Mechanics.DX 9
  14. It's "A-0", not "A". The Chronicle mentions the A-0 as a trial production version using 25% of VF-1 parts. There's no mention of B, C, or D variants. Other than that, the Chronicle just uses "VF-4 Lightning III" with no letter denominations. Then there's the VF-4G, which appears in VF-X 1 & 2. Farther down the tree we have the VF-4S and VF-4SL from Macross R.
  15. Unicorn is just a standard MS...no biggie. Then you throw in the separating armor plates. That's probably where the majority of the re-tooling of the kit will come when you bring it up to PG size from a MG. They'll probably have to redesign the entire skeleton. And since Unicorn is a OAV (i.e. direct-to-home video), it's popular, but it's not THAT popular compared to something that was broadcasted on TV, weekly...and then had a movie...
  16. That's the idea that popped in my head when I saw that. They made the Wii U into a HD DS.
  17. Transcript of a Q&A with Bandai @ 50th Shizuoka Hobby show Highlights from a user at Animesuki I could see a MG Kshatriya needing metal....Freakin funnel pods...
  18. According to Seiji Mizushima (00's director), many of the staff at Sunrise that worked with him on 00 will be working with whomever is heading this project. So if anybody is working on Unicorn, they'll just overlap with this production. I'm sure they're saving everything (Director announcement, reveal of the new Gundam, VAs, etc.) for the 13th.
  19. I've lost count on the number of times I've said or asked this.
  20. And that site says it's for a movie due out in 2011....It's already June 2011. *hears crickets* Back to not caring....
