    Well, technically a "black" Nick Fury is right...in the Marvel Ultimates-world. And if the characterization of Nick Fury is consistent with his comic-counterpart, then technically, it's "right".

    It should probably be noted that Yamato 2199 isn't set to premiere in theaters till April 7, 2012, with the first DVD/Blu-ray's street date being May 25th. It's not gonna be on TV till 2013. The preview that a few members have seen has been just that, a 50 minute-preview (TV episodes 1 & 2 combined together) that's been making it's way around select theaters in Japan. This is why no one has seen it outside of those attending the previews.

    Yes, why don't people let it sink on it's own...without the aid of , ya know, other, respectable shows to save it. See kids, at one point in time (during these conversations), I thought I would post my pitch for a RT reboot (just so we could get away from using anything Macross). But then as I realized in this day and age of internet piracy, IP legal news every other day, I realized I want to be actually paid for my ideas. So I refrained. And since we know how much fun legal tussles are....So yeah, whether they're good or not, I want money for MY ideas. And it's time RT stopped mooching of other franchises, too. They need to come up with their own damn ideas.

    The greater the demand for the "hero"-versions, the more incentive they have to build the cannon fodder (Not that it would take a lot to release a cannon fodder of a VF-171 anyways...).

    Bandai actually have their own license, separate from Yamato's, so there's no need to get pull anything (i.e., Bandai has their Hi-Metal series while Yamato is putting out their "collectors" 1/60 line, and both make their own versions of various identical VFs). As for Frontier, what Bandai probably has amounts to an "exclusive" agreement from Big West. Those usually can last ~10 years, depending on the contract. Until the time period ends, other companies can't touch those product lines. I'm not terribly concerned since Bandai's Frontier-license will expire at some point and then the market will open up for other companies to make stuff.

    Depends if they head back into space by the next episode. Going by the Gundam Unicorn Katoki Mechanical Archives, we'll see more Jesta and the Anksha next. If they follow the novels.

    This happens every year. Do I want it remade? No. Will it be remade, regardless? Probably. The entertainment industry likes to fall back on established works cuz they can't think of something new. 'Tis a nasty cycle.
