    Not sure Norton is worth it..... Alternatives? AVG, Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials, Avira, Bitdefender. I use Symantec Endpoint Protection (the corporate edition of Norton that doesn't consume system resources and is significantly less annoying).

    I bit the bullet and just got a GTX 670 (abeit with a gift card or 2). My i7/P55 combo is still good, and the only thing I would look at is an integrated USB 3 controller on the MB, but otherwise, my system still has another year or 2 of life before I consider a new build. I would look at a GPU upgrade if your system is still young but you're feeling that upgrade itch.

    If anybody didn't catch them the first time around, they are letting loose some of the deleted scenes as a build-up to the Blu-ray/DVD release. THE AVENGERS Alternate Opening Blu-ray/DVD Deleted Scene I'm just glad the cut this out. Absolutely terrible tone to start the movie with. Latest AVENGERS Deleted Scene Focuses On CAPTAIN AMERICA This was a great scene, but IMO, doesn't fit with the feel of the rest of the movie. I would like to see a scene like this in the next Cap' movie, but it absolutely doesn't belong in a team movie.

    This is probably tied into getting Joss Whedon to direct this upcoming flick. Marvel's ABC TV Series Greenlit, Titled S.H.I.E.L.D; Joss Whedon Co-Writing & May Direct Why do I also get a feeling that there will be some tie-in to this movie? I just don't want to have to watch a TV show to explain some obscure reference in the movie.

    I'm probably in the minority in saying I'm glad these scenes were cut. As I said above, the Cap' scene was good but didn't fit in with the team aspect of the movie. It's the same with the Banner scene. Great for a individual movie, but it doesn't feel right in a team movie.

    Motherboard short circuit? Power supply having problems? There is the chance that the CPU is at fault. If it's not POSTing, then it could be a bad CPU.

The alternate opening and endings would have set a bad tone for the movie itself. It would have made the movie feel like a bad idea. The Cap' scene is probably something they should save for a Cap'-movie. It's a very good scene but it would be better in that setting rather than in Avengers but chances are it will not be in the next Cap'-movie. They'll probably redo something like it.

    But they expect you to watch Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy in the the mean time. Gotta make time for those. Three years will mean nothing by the time we get to this movie.

    IIRC, people suggested replacing the regular thermal paste on the 1st generation Macbook Pros with Arctic Silver 5 to help with the heat so yes, you can use thermal paste instead of pads. But like mikeszekely, I normally don't find myself replacing whole laptop motherboards.
