Considering the $700 million this film has taken in in 2 weeks (domestic and international ticket sales), you can bet the other companies will probably try to keep their hand in the cookie jar for as long as they can. Even though Disney/Marvel bought out Paramount's distribution rights, Paramount still has TV rights and production credits (i.e. "... in association with Paramount Pictures").

Well...about that...Ms. Johansson wasn't wearing much under that snug costume, compared to the guys at least. So yes, you could say it was "painted on".

And the numbers are in (courtesy of Box Office Mojo.com) $207,438,708 (as of May 6th, North America only)

Besides Joss Wheden's comments that the design was "ass"? It won't be hard. Just look at the Justice League animated series or the Grant Morrison run on JLA portrayal of Batman. But overall, they need a good story, actors, and production team. And the weekend estimate from Box Office Mojo is looking at $200.3 million. That's a very healthy start.

Considering it was suppose to power the movie-version of the Mark I suit for about 15-minutes or the Mark III for what...about the same? Yeah, it was near-limitless. It's suppose to generate a lot of power for a long time (in ideal conditions), for such a small thing. But back to the thread... Marvel will be quite pleased with the $80.5 million the film generated domestically, on Friday (see Box Office Mojo). A few news sources are already predicting ~$150 million from weekend domestic sales alone.

Ah, but... (as sketchley notes) ...Would not providing resources for humanitarian aid or what not be just as bad as pointing a gun in your face? You would let innocents suffer, potentially die, because the leadership of nation decided not to join the club? That would make the UN the bastards as well. The UN may not have pointed a gun, but they would let innocents die. Perhaps a question to ask is, assume we haven't seen the endgame yet and we're back to the zero-sum game (M0 hasn't happened yet, we don't know the Zentradi are coming or that they will be nukin' the site from orbit, etc.). Would that affect which side you choose?
-
So we come back to this; does the killing of innocent lives justify being left out of the tech party and crapped on by those who wanted unification? Would that affect which side you would choose?
-
Perhaps I need to be less subtle. Who cares what each side had. That's not the subject of this conversation. Get back to the subject of this thread or lock.

Is anyone else having this problem on MW?

Actually this is somewhat true. Chrome uses the Webkit web rendering engine which is more standards compliant than the Gecko-engine used by Firefox. Webkit is also a faster rendering engine. But Chrome lacks certain functionality and customizing capabilities found in Firefox because of the way Webkit works and how Google designed it. It can emulate certain features through those addons, but I find Firefox's implementation of addons to be superior. More recent tests of the browsers show Firefox is better in Javascript support and some rendering times. But since Mozilla stepped up the release time on Firefox (which I still think is a point against them), these factors could change and browser war articles come every few months. I'd go with Chrome, Firefox or Opera as the best web browsers out there. I usually run with Firefox as my primary and Chrome as my secondary browser. -
Weren't DD and Nora part of the test-pilot program for the UN VF and then they defected? In the end, the Anti-UN beat the UN to the punch with the first combat-ready VF. And that's all that matters. And as mentioned, I think people would join whichever side they came from that benefited or didn't benefit from unification. If you personally think your country would benefit, they you would have agreed with the plan and sided with Unification. If you didn't agree, then you would have sided with Anti-Unification. One side calls it acts of terrorism and genocide while the other side sees it as fighting oppression. I don't believe there is a right answer in this case. It's no different that what history has taught us about this subject.

Not all routers support that ability so the Netgear might not have it (even though it's fairly useful). -

If your router can, I would look into using a fixed IP for your computer or any stationary device which you want to have a static IP, like a wireless printer. Yes, it's no better than using a static, but at least you're telling the router, at the router level, to not use a certain address as oppose to you assigning IPs around the house or relying on fate to not assign your IP to another computer. -

Yes. But as EXO said, it's been renewed for it's 5th and final season with ONLY 13 episodes.

Shinn's family never died. He was more or less "drafted" into service. The issue of Unification/Anti-Unification probably has to do with international politics, nationalism, money and stuff we probably shouldn't get into. There are a lot of real-life examples of what happens when people unify and how it works over time.

IIRC, they said they would deviate on some elements from the novel (like Full Frontal's Char Aznable-connection, i.e. in the novel it was less ambiguous and presented more straightforward while the animation is more ambiguous) but still remain faithful to the original material.

More viral marketing. Spoiler'd for size. And here's the ad: http://mashable.com/2012/04/17/prometheus-david-ad/ (Mashable.com) -
It's also going to carry over to Captain America 2 and probably Thor 2. They'll still be separate entities, but they'll draw some minor things from The Avengers. I've heard (and felt) Marvel Studios liking this idea of a linked movie universe. I'd find it unlikely since Sony Pictures currently has the rights to the Spiderman-movies, but if Samuel Jackson shows up in Amazing Spiderman, I won't be surprised.
-
Well then, maybe they should remake their own....oh wait.

If it is actual concept art, I would have loved to see it in action. It fit's Asemu's combat style. If it is real, it may show up in a manga. But sadly, this generation's story is coming to an end by next month. So whether it is real or not, there's no chance we'll see it animated.
