  1. DIRECTOR PEYTON REED AND WRITER ADAM MCKAY JOIN MARVEL'S ANT-MAN So McKay passed on the director's chair and will basically do a re-write of Edgar Wright's script.
  2. Was wondering when someone would mention that.
  3. Nintendo at E3 2014: Fighting from behind As close to a summary of what I've heard. We'll probably hear about more game releases, but I'm not expecting anything on the hardware front.
  4. Re-opened. Stay on topic.
  5. How about not starting a petty argument? And yes, we really don't know what direction they're going in or what they are planning on doing with Origin. The extent of what we know has been confined to the 2 trailers they've released. We know episode 1 is about Casval Rem and Artesia Som Deikun's (Char and Sayla) early life before MSG and that's about it. Will Origin focus on just those 2? Dunno. It's not following the blueprint from the manga. But if you've followed Gundam the Origin, then it will likely be within that vein of the story.
  6. And another one passes. Rawson Thurber Passes On Marvel’s ANT-MAN Offer Clock's ticking if they want to make that July 2015 release date.
  7. From what I understand, the part will be recasted so I won't worry about it. But when a set-photo came out, the Interwebs wasn't commenting on the character, but the age of the stand-in actor in light of the issues involving Singer at the moment.
  8. Then this should be no shock. Adam McKay Pulls Out of 'Ant-Man' Director Negotiations Basically, over the weekend, McKay was tapped direct, but pulled out at the negotiation phase due to other commitments. My guess is Marvel wants to keep the 2015 date (read: That date is set in stone) and McKay can't do it in less than a year (for a project this size, you'll need a year just to do it all). So scratch another name off the list. Other names being dropped into the short list of directors are Rawson Marshall Thurber and Ruben Fleischer.
  9. DisplayPort. If you have HDMI on the monitor, I would just use it. But if you only DVI, that will do. I would go with the newer standard, if applicable. If the BIOS/UEFI is set up that way, then yes. Normally it's yes.
  10. I would probably get a new TV. I've seen a number of decent sized screens in the sub-$600 range. But to the question, there's a chance that the TV is just old enough to not be compatible with HDMI. That is, it doesn't recognize the signal coming from the HDMI side, even if they are HDCP-compliant.
  11. Remember, think clean thoughts. Don't want people suddenly applying a downward force... German scientists successfully test brain-controlled aircraft
  12. Would it kill devs to just buy some low, medium, and high-end machines and test these games before they release? Or better yet, release a beta to the masses before they launch and test the crap out of it. FYI, Nvidia released some new drivers over the holiday weekend which addresses Watchdogs. I have no idea if those fixed any problems, but I'm assuming "No".
  13. Take this how you will. Why 'Ant-Man' Director Edgar Wright Exited Marvel's Superhero Movie
  14. And this the 2nd time we've had to lock this thread. When I reopen it, anyone who wants to do this kind of silly argument again gets a insta-ban.
  15. Something to consider. In a mid-tower with good airflow, a good HSF will probably do as well the AiO cooling solution (depending on the cooler). It may even provide better bang for buck. The liquid cooler will give you better cooling but a good HSF could do the job at 1/2 the price. If you're planning on overclocking, then the AiO LC would work better then an aftermarket HSF. If not, it might be cheaper to go with a HSF. I'm only looking at an AiO cooling solution because the build I'm doing is so small that airflow would be restricted. Because of that, a regular HSF, even a low-profile one, may not provide the best bang-for-buck.
  16. 'Dem kids just need to accept the fact that HG's lawyers sent a C&D. Even after one of their cronies said "Wow! Do more!". It was HG and only HG. Simple as that. They should just accept the fact that if it's got the name "Robotech" in it, has anything to do with the frakin' '80s cartoon, and wasn't properly vetted by HG, expect a call for a lawyer. That's the fact. Neither Big West nor is anyone from Japan hiding somewhere, pulling the strings. If they think otherwise, I would suggest seeing some of the nice folks in mental health. As for this project, it got canned. Game over. Thread closed.
  17. I was looking at the Corsair H60 for a AiO cooler. I'm still looking for a comparable air cooler. Right now I'm not planning on using a discrete graphics but I have a spare previous generation Nvidia card so that might end up in the package, but not right now. ITX builds seem to be getting popular for LAN parties, portable power computing, and thanks to Steam Box, a popular choice for a HTPC.
  18. So someone actually transcribed a 3rd party podcast, just so he could try to determine the "hidden party" behind a C&D request in another country on a fan-production? Yeah, I don't get the obsession either.
