  1. The new sweet spot for RAM seems to be 8GB these days. As mike mentioned, you will not use up that much (as of posting, I'm barely hitting 2.5 out of 16GB). An SSD will help when loading programs. But as mentioned, once the app is loaded, the physical memory/RAM will take over. Whether it be a SSD or HDD, the app gets loaded into memory and it does the rest from there.
  2. Because it didn't serve the plot. VFs could hold a kagillion missiles if the plot called for it. Same goes for fuel or any other expendable item. And it applies to any other show. If the plot calls for them to run out of energy or ammo, they run out. Period. Plot (payload, armor, etc.) trumps all.
  3. Plot payload. It has as many missiles and bullets as the plot requires.
  4. 8000+? You sure this isn't Japan's Got Talent? I'm sure the shortlist is <10, but still.... 8000+ applicants
  5. Scythe is a good option. I used their fans for quite a while. As I mentioned, you are better off looking for good fans that can provide good airflow but not sound like a wind tunnel along with sound and vibration dampening.
  6. I currently use a Corsair H80 in my main box and H60 in my little ITX-build. As technoblue mentioned, the H80 isn't that great when it comes to cooling OC-rigs. Not to say it can't because I did OC and my H80 is holding temps just fine. The H100/110 is the best for OCing though. My H60 in my ITX build keeps quiet enough that it sounds like everyday background noise that you could sleep to.
  7. I would probably avoid Intel stock coolers as they can get noisy at higher speeds. frothymug mentioned the Coolermaster Hyper 212 cooler. I highly recommend it as I used it on the last version of my computer and even bought a new one for my current revision before I decided to go with an AiO liquid cooling solution. It is the best bang-for-buck cooler on the market. And you can replace the included fan with any better fan that you want. Only downside is the big heatsink.
  8. Corsair's Carbide or Obsidian series cases? Fractal cases? Any case can be made quiet with the right amount of work. I still use my trusty Coolermaster 690 II. Very meshy front and top but fairly quiet with 8 fans running. Probably no louder than when my frig turns on the fan. And most of the fans have LEDs. Try to look for decent fans that provide good airflow without generating too much noise. I use Cougar fans in my case and they deliver excellent air flow without being too loud. I could have gone with Noctua but their fans are quite expensive. It's probably best to look for fans that support PWM, which allows the motherboard to control fan speed if you don't have a fan controller. If you want silent, look at fan speed control as well as sound and vibration dampening. That should reduce the noise coming from your case.
  9. Then 13"-15" laptops will probably work out. Core i5 ~2.0 Ghz 8GB RAM 500GB-1TB HDD or a 256GB SSD if you configure your desktop to share as mike suggested. You could go with a SSHD if you want performance like a SSD but with HDD storage capacity. Again, it might help to know what screen size you're thinking about.
  10. So then screen size? There are options for high-res displays if you want. An SSD will likely speed things up but the $/GB still isn't as good as a HDD. So do you want storage space or do you want speed? That would probably resolve your large folder issue that you hate.
  11. How much time do you plan to spend on it? More time, then I would look at a 15" screen. Moderate time? 13"-14" screen. If you're photoshopping a lot, you'll benefit from the real estate at 15". Do you plan on traveling with it? Larger laptops may feel light just carrying around the house, but when you have that thing in a bag or backpack, carrying around for an hour, it starts to weigh you down. Plus have fun yanking it out and putting it back in every time you pass through the security checkpoint.
  12. They're pulling from Daredevil: The Man Without Fear and don't expect to see the red suit until the season finale. It is also suppose to tie-in to the Defenders series that's currently in development.
  13. Yeah, I'm gonna follow (but I'm like that with lots of movies these days). Ridley Scott is well known and well-liked, yet we still got Prometheus.
  14. Still going to be out before a RT movie.
  15. Sony still has the rights to all "Spider-Man" films. And Sony will be able to make more Spidey films and have majority control over those films (Kevin Feige will be listed as producer and Amy Pascal will retain the Sony side of things) But now, Marvel Studios/Disney can borrow the same Spidey for their films and Sony can do the same for MCU characters in Spidey films.

  17. Since Marvel is folding the Ultimate-verse into the normal Marvel universe... What they could do "kill" or retire Peter in Civil War by him revealing his identity. Then bring in Miles for the Marvel side of things and revive Peter for the Sony movies. 2 Spideys at the same time. Jesus, they have the whole Spider-verse story running right now, why not have it for the movies.
  18. Would it kill the author of that article to link to the petition and the blog post he mentions?
