Hahaha! I had though of some comment like that right after I hit "Post", but thought better of editing it. Looking good Mike.

Sorry. 99.5% of my collection is SDF Macross. She looks good enough though, that I went on evilbay and picked up a resin kit of her for $30.ooUS, not 30min after finding out who she was. Now, I just need to finish watching the series...now that I have four figures. @ ACEOFTHEREBELLION: Nice job on the 1:72 VF-1S and D. The Minmay "pilot" conversion is a must. Gotta do it on mine. Did those come in the "Robotech Changers" or the original packaging?

Cool. Thanks. She's a rather nice "figure."

Please excuse my ignorance here...but who is the figure above? I'm guessing someone from M-Frontier by the display order? I've only seen the first four episodes...

"Hehe. Dude, they're feelin' ya back on the AFFC boards. The BoB ver. 2.0 is gettin' much love. " I noticed. Cool to see others actually like the direction, but it's not going into kit form. My car was in a wreck and the guards are different lengths, so the nose is out a whack from other cars. It's back into "70's tolerances" though. Roush has given me a really good deal on laying up/vac-bagging one or two copies of the parts, but getting more will drive the price up. I also simply don't want to deal with the hassle of it all when planning, then doing a wedding, buying a house, and possibly having "Sproggo" in the next three years. That just doesn't leave much time for Macross/Dougram/Mospeada modeling...all 300+ robot kits.

"Batmobile" is the one that I keep hearing, especially around Doug's BoB. Haven't heard Knight Rider...yet. One mate stated that the headlights and the grill look like the MKIII Ironman mask...hadn't thought of it until putting a pic next to it. Unintentional, but cool. The real basis was the Arcadipane Concorde nose, but the scoop updated like the BA Supercar Falcons, 80's NASCAR's, and some models I built as a kid. Never really cared for the original with the gold striping, but it was the 70's and they wanted something different. The flares are original, and the bonnet scoop is a cross between the Bathurst scoop and the L-88 they used on the Yellow Interceptor. I dubbed it the "Bathurst-88." All of the parts are scratch-built in 1:1 scale. Most people just look at it and scratch their heads, wondering what it is...all the better, it's entertaining to hear the "experts." Finally got logged back onto the AFFC board again. 2005 was the last time, but kept getting the email updates. Post soon...also to look up the crossover list in the files section. Lot of new members. Who's the mod now? I need my pic file deleted.

OK. If you go ahead and decide to make a voluptuous Milia figure, I beg/plead/grovel/implore you to make her look like:

I have a PVC Guyver female figure that's been sticky for years, painted in Tamiya Purple. It took almost ten years for the dust to stop sticking to it. After that, I started using a wax and grease remover on the old plastic and PVC kits, and it seems to work. It was called DX330 by PPG. Don't know if Malaysia will have it though... PS: If anyone has the Milia figure from that set, I'd make it worth their while to sell it to me via Paypal. I'm in the USA.

I second Old Man's comments. Two, please...one for each pod on order. Any chance of a pic next to a valk for scale comparison? I'm thinking he's just about "eye-level" with one.

Quick book detail of the Breaker Squad cars..."flat black compacts with roo bars, big engines to put them over 150mph, big fuel tanks with crude armour plating." So...a Falcy with a 467ci BBV8, 35 gallon petrol tank, two-tone black paint with 1/4" plating inside the door panels...check? The roo bars are on the drawing board. Breaker Squad training: "Out of 100, 83 survived the training." "Sector 9-30, aka Damnation Alley." "Go ahead and make your Big Run." This was Max's patrol territory. The Breaker Squad was an elite unit set up to combat the Armalite gangs and hoons taking over the highways (Transcon 1) preying on the Road Trains after the central government fell and the MFP was dwindling. The "Big Run" was a test to see if the hoons could outpace the MFP through the section of highway before getting caught or killed by the MFP or gangs. I think it was kind of a basis for the Night Riders escape.

Thanks for the support...just want to make sure it's not going off in left field. The stripes are just tape right now on primer (but we kinda like the green striping). It'll be Caterpillar semi-gloss and Cast Iron flat black overall. REDDSUN1: I saw the posting on the AFFC board. I haven't logged onto the site in a while, so I'll probably need another invite and Yahoo ID, unless TomN or Scar has mod access. I REFUSE to go back to the MMM.com forum!!! That's why it's a "MFP BREAKER SQUAD INTERCEPTOR" based on the books description with movie "canon" attributes to link it in, and not Max's. Too many "wankas" throwing their junk around on the MMM site...I'm not a "true fan" as Suckpuppet and LastV8 believe, so I just wandered out into the Wasteland. PS: Doug is mis-informed about the seats. They're modded JC49 frames w/ LC23 Challenger SRT8 foam w/ B299 Focus headrests w/ leather and prototype cloth inserts that had 17lb's removed from each...the XB frames are junk and unsafe in comparison.

"Different." Is that good or bad? I really don't want this thing to look cheesy like some of the modded cars on, say, Jalopnik. The spoiler(s) will be metal, welded to the body/boot. As of right now, only the boot spoiler is going on. The roof spoiler screams Mad Max, but with the bigger boot spoiler, it doesn't need the roof one. Plus, looking at more of the ATCC racers, I kinda like the cleanness of the greenhouse. There's enough going on elsewhere on the car. Even the flutes are going away. Which paint scheme do you like? Rally stripe BoB or modded JGS (you can see the stripes in the rear 3/4 shot (minus the fiancees' kitty paw print))? I'm open to anyone's suggestion. I'm not sold on the entire bonnet and top of the guards being flat black.

"MOFF! MOFF!" As my mates little bub says when she sees a Moffat painted car. As promised, here's a collage of the current work. I'm trying to get the left side completed to mirror the dimensions on the right side of the nosecone. The brow is still giving me trouble, but it's close. The exhaust megaphone is mocked up, and will be in steel soon. Flowmaster Super 44's or Flowmaster 50's...hmm. Still playing with the striping and blackouts.

"Dude, I'm stoked; anxious to see how your build turns out." Yeah...me too. Haha. I'll pop up a couple of pics after this weekend. The "Neanderthal monobrow" across the top of the headlights is being a pain. The curvature of the bonnet in the middle bulges up, making the dive off the leading edge of the bonnet steeper than on the outsides...which means I had to drop the front angle piece to an inch instead of 2" (which looked meaner) to accommodate the blended curvature. The stripe will continue onto the nosecone instead of wrapping around the bonnet leading edge. Striping and blackouts...sheesh...can't decide. The car is sitting with two different schemes, divided right down the centerline. Half is the Max BoB with a connecting rally stripe over the greenhouse, and the other half is a modified JGS front with a max BoB rear that goes up onto the boot. The only thing about the JGS style is that the all of the bonnet is matte black. I have a large "Breaker Squad" decal that I could put on at an angle like the ATCC racers, but we'll see. I'm open to suggestions as well. Pics will explain/show you my designer's pain better. PS: Me thinks BATHURST is on this weekend at Mt Panorama ("Paneramer") on Speed. Hopefully DW won't host/commentate this time. He ruined it last year...ignorant wanka.

OK. Here's the new dilemna...the frelling bonnet will not close at the back!!! No matter how I adjust it, when I close it, the rear corners stick up, and I have to push each side back down. Some of the Aussie guys have the same issue. Are there alternative hinge assemblies, or a trick I'm not figuring out???

XDEF calipers...have to look into them. Going Wilwood or Ford Motorsport, would the mounting brackets from a 71-73 Mustang work for the front, or is it the Torino setup again? I have discs on the front/drums on rear, but they're an OZ-only setup. Any luck with parts by going through National Parts Depot for Stang parts for the conversion? They're about 5mi. from me. I wish there was a master parts interchange list out there...argh! I appreciate the help.

Nice job! The originals looked funny to me, with the color change just stopping at the top of the chest and not carrying onto the wings/back. The newer color scheme on the older valk, reminds me of the WWII warbirds that were updated/modified, and repainted in flashy colors for the Reno Air Race.

Everybody's gotta start somewhere, somehow, sometime. Mine was the Revell "Robotech Changer Axoid" version of the 1:72 transformable VF-1J model kit, then the "Jetfire" transformer, then...then...well, the gallery shows up to last year.
