  1. Commercial films. http://youtu.be/CHT0tnG3YUU http://youtu.be/5_kF_oJjLNo I wonder what is the proper translation of 「伝説の5秒」 in English. "The legendary 5 seconds?" Is the expression well-known outside of Japan, too?
  2. Hm. Once the old fans who didn't know the screening last year came back, it would be extremely difficult to get the tickets because Yamato was a social phenomenon in Japan in 1977 and 1978. I remember the big bang boom at the time. I think I am a no hard-core Yamato fan, but I know the story roughly because everyone wanted to watch Yamato. Not every kid, everyone literally; both the old and the young at once. The broadcasting is widely spreading. Did you watched the Niconico Live last Sunday? In the ranking of the rate of the TV programs recording, Yamato was on the second place. And its program rating has getting better and better; about 8% in Nagoya and Sendai. I heard some fans are planning to come from America to Japan to watch Yamato in August. One of them said they want to go to "the premier" of Chapter 7, but I answered to him it's gonna be hard to get the tickets. Even Chapter 6 is like that, not to speak of 7.
  3. I heard the model of Kalala Ajiba in Ideon was Keiko Toda herself. Anavel Gato in Gandam 0083 was Akio Ohtsuka himself. Of course, Ranka Lee was Megumi Nakajima herself especially in the Alcatraz concert in Sayonara no Tsubasa.
  4. 2:12~ Desller call Domel "Erich"; his first name. Like a General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 5:55~ Hitlerjugend? 7:08~ "The 442nd Special Work Platoon?" The 442nd Regimental Combat Team of the US Army in WWII? All of the members were Japanese Americans. And this is not my opinion. They say, the last singing scene is like "Battle of the Bulge." I have never watched it. Wow...
  5. Hahaha, Tsumugi Kotobuki a.k.a Mugi-chan. Well, every time I read the Basara guitar thread, I think if one of their friends were Mugi-chan, they could buy the guitars much cheaper at the musical instrument shop.
  6. I didn't say "no one in the western countries." I actually like AlexTrip Sands' works. So nostalgic...
  7. Oh, that Japanese guy was so kind. I want to meet him some day. lol
  8. We have already talked about it. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=30860&p=1041202
  9. http://www.macrossworld.com/4799/macross-the-museum-11-vf-1s-cockpit-planned/ p.s. "Lurking?" I had been reading his "Black Jack" every week on Shonen Champion magazine when I was a child. I don't know the comic artists who have a medical license except Osamu Tezuka sensei.
  10. I wonder if the software is sold well outside of Japan. So skeptical. There are many songs made from Vocaloids, but many of them were made by Japanese fans, because of the DTM, Desk Top Music culture has been deeply taken roots here in Japan. They have been used to the MIDI, Musical Instrument Digital Interface, so they could accept the Vocaloids easily. I don't know about the amateur musicians outside of Japan, but many of those in Japan bought the Synthesizers and DTM software and used them, rather than guitars and drums. To use the Vocaloids is too difficult for beginners, so Yowane Haku was born. http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Yowane_Haku If you thought of Vocaloids as "character items" or some sort, I could never recommend it.
  11. Oh... Sorry to hear that. You didn't know the bar itself? I think some MW members go there in July. They will go to both Takarazuka and Umeda.
  12. Another collaboration. Microsoft Surface. http://youtu.be/z3EifSduOPM http://youtu.be/OOJxWbymcdY
  13. I heard one of the members of MW goes there TODAY.
  14. According to the Niconico Live yesterday, they say it is also an another theater-exclusive item. It's gonna be an additional errand of you. Anybody goes to Paris? Star Blazers 2199 will be screened at Japan Expo. Kawamori-san and 2199 appear in France in July. I don't know anything about Anime Expo held on the same days in LA.
  15. AFAIK, there have been some Vocaloids threads. IMPO, there have already been such software for English-singing. Why don't they use those things? Sweet Ann, Big-Al, Sonika, and so on. Still no information about GUMI's birthday celebration party this year? Hmm.

  17. 8 days ago. For Megahouse, Alter、Kotobukiya, and the others' fans.
  18. Long sentences, a great job. I know Mr. Campbell speaks Japanese, but those kinds of translations would be hard works for him. I sometimes skip long terms here because reading such things in English makes me so tired. Without getting into the zone, I couldn't use English... His passion let him do those things. Wow...
  19. Swing-wing + vectored thrust = bigger, heavier, and so expensive to make/ maintain.
  20. One opinion from the Japanese fans. (not mine) "Yamato is the enemy battleship's name in WW II." I don't know if it is true or not. Imo, the name "大和" itself also means "Japan" (日本). So it's difficult to handle with the term, may be.
  21. Stand? Anynone have ever tried Levitron Revolution Platform?
  22. Yeah... AE86 is a so old car, but Takumi beats many opponents. Well, Even Keisuke's FD was released about 20 years ago, not to speak of Ryosuke's FC. To the best of my knowledge, all of the cars in the comics/ anime have been Japanese cars? If you like American cars more, I recommend Wangan Midnight. C6 Vette ZR-1. Thanks to the anime, I like CGs. I never say "Ah, the CG sh*t, so this one is no good."
  23. Believe it or not, you decide. ? Out of focus. It has nothing to do with his taste at all. He belongs to the company and furthermore, one of the executive. Not only an artist. Business is business.
