Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
antibiotictab replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I watched the 1st episode on TV Tokyo and like it. I have always said Gundams were too serious and not my taste but Z and 0083. And I didn't expect Build Fighters, either. But I have never watched such an amusing Gundam. No spoilers. Just watch it.- 971 replies

Thanks. I sometimes use my GE camera but can't use it within a building. So easy to have camera shakes. But his camera is awesome; even though the shutter speed was 1/30 or so and without a strobe light, no shakes on the pics... Actually, it is 100 times more expensive than mine. lol I recognized the venues where the person went to. I also went to the same places and I found many items I know. He/ she may be a professional press person. Went to the Hatune Miku concert in Kansai, and Sapporo Snow Festivals from the Kanto District according to the pics. It cost him so much, and not to speak of his camera. And I wonder how many times he has been to Oarai to collect many materials for Girls und Panzer. lol

I checked the property of the pics, and the cameraman used a Nikon D4! Wow... So expensive camera...

Thanks for watching the video, too. I heard the YF-19 had started being exhibited in Akiba from the last Friday. So, I tried to shoot some videos of some Valks. I didn' t expect the YF-29, but I could shoot it by chance. Fortunately, those Valks were exhibited at the photography allowed areas simultaneously.

Tonight's Niconico. I don't know what May'n's important announcement is. Anyway, let's see what happens. http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv153929570 From 9 pm in Japan and T-minus 1.5 hours and counting. From 5 am in LA. Oh...

And technoblue. Well, when I read his book, I felt we were disliked... But not only him, Michael Crichton also wrote "Rising Sun" in the early 90s, so it was such an era... Just a coincidence but both of them passed away at the age of 66.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
antibiotictab replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Actually Zeta's movies never succeed to ZZ. And, well, were just like collages or patchworks... Oh, by the way, SDFM fans had better watch 0080 and 0083. The character designer of the former a.k.a. "War in the Pocket" was Mikimoto-san. And one of the Mecha designers of the latter was Kawamori-san. I watched 0083 more than 20 years ago, but I still remember the engine nozzles of a Zaku. Already had vectored thrust. It was "wow" when I watched they moved up and down, left and right. -

I think Gubaba will help you. As for me, I like Zeta and 0083. I don't like the Gundam series well, but those 2 are the exceptions. 0079's anime will be remade in the future as "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin," so you better wait for a while. Or read the original manga by Yasuhiko. Ah, but 0083 is the sequel of 0079 and the prequel of Zeta... You should watch 0079... -

DYRL vs EoE...which is the more beautiful film?
antibiotictab replied to isamu's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
"Ideon" was Tomino's masterpiece. I prefer it to Gundam, and Evangelion was influenced by it especially EoE. Didn't you know Anno explosion? I thought you know Anno's work so much, so you asked the question. Didn't you mean "which Anno's work do you think more beautiful?" FYI DYRL http://youtu.be/E3-8GstXOD8?t=55s A nuke test http://youtu.be/QsB83fAtNQE?t=59s Gubaba, IIRC, Ideon was one of your favorite movies. -

DYRL? Why not "The Ideon: Be Invoked?" Ah, beautiful or not... It's so subjective and depends on your own taste... BTW, did "Anno explosion" (庵野爆発) appear in EoE? Obviously in DYRL, you know. -
I sometimes wonder if Voyager Entertainment would make a contract with some American toy companies or not. If they don't do so, all the items will be Japan-made and gonna be expensive.

Anohana the movie is a big hit for the number of theaters. In the opening 2 days, it was 1.5 times bigger hit than that of Harlock; was screened only one-9th theaters of the latter. I also went to watch it. Yeah, some non-Japanese have been wondering why "Armageddon" and even "Pearl Harbor" hit the chart in the past in Japan. I often have been asked about it by them. It may because it brought tears or were "touching" for the young Japanese audience, I guess. Even the western audience NEVER felt like that, the fans here were different... Even though Michael Bay's movies... And, "the Japanese fans tend to dislike the live-action and re-make things. As if the movie companies used the popularity of the original ones so easily... So, even 2199 was not welcomed among the old fans at first. But it has brought back its fame again because they have come to think of it as a good one." This. If the movie maker wanted to gather the old fans, they had to respect the original ones, and should not use the name of them so easily. We never watch the remake/ live-action just because of its title. We never say "hell yeah!" just watching the title of the movie. Both of the failed movies were not accepted among people. The bad image and the nightmare of Dragonball Evolution have been still sticking in our minds. Moreover, the young fans of the actor/ actress appeared in those ones don't know Gatchaman and Harlock well, so only enthusiastic fans of them went to watch them. Not enough to earn the revenue... In short, the old Harlock fans say, "I know Oguri, but who is Miura? BTW, where is Makio Inoue, the original Harlock VA? " and the young Oguri and Miura fans say, "Harlock? IDK... 35 years ago? EVEN MY PARENTS WERE CHILDREN! Too old and no popular!" Just like this. Oh... *facepalm*
