Do you mean the RSC has yellowed? It was definately the flash. Nothing was wrong with either piece. They were both from PERFECT SOLDIER boxes from '99 (I believe). Both came with PSX games, too. The RSC is from Box 2 and is a re-issue of the original Dual Model with a new olive drab/silver scheme. Also comes with a Round-Mover pack. The "red" one is the ATM-09-GSC SLASHDOG from Box 3. I'll try to post some more pics that I saved.

'scuse the OT, but.......... ......for what it's worth......my Takara 1/24 Votoms (that I sold) come in at just about 6" w/ the canopy. Could the 1/12 actually be 12" ??? The VB-6 is......... **EDIT** On closer glance at the scan you can make out "30" on the front view caption. May mean 30cm or just about 12".

(Carry-over from VB-6 thread) Here's a scans: http://toyup2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-bin/im...40423022727.jpg http://toyup2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-bin/im...40423010048.jpg

To be completely honest..........all I use are good ol' nail clippers. Of course, I am not even in the same league as most, if not all, of the modellers here, but with my Gundam MG kits I have used the method described by Master Cheng -- clip the piece off of the tree, clip at angles to get closer to the piece and minimize stress, and then a flush X-Acto for the rest. And believe it or not, I then then actually go over it with my finger and fingernail which actually blends it in just a little. Granted most of the modellers reading this are exclaiming "WHAT?" or making faces ( ), but it works for "me and my MGs." Excuse my now, as I must now get back to the Model threads and gawk in awe!!

Came across this today at NODO-YA, but I think all of you have seen it already....

Ahem...............I don't get it............. -
Nope. You don't have to be FP capable for the GBP. I believe it will not work on the 2-seaters only because of the noses. I bet you'd be able to put everything but the torso armor on the -1D, VE and VT.....we shall see....... As for any modifications needed to fit the GBP, all the hype says "no". And I hope not, as I have no talent in that area...................amongst others!!
-
As stated above, the GBP-S will not be "off-the-shelf" compatible with the VF-1D, VT-1, and VE-1. ( I say this because you just know a MW member will make it fit on those, too. ) The FAST-PACKS are incompatible with all Valks prior to the Super -1J release. (Although some have reported seeing sporadic FP holes on earlier CF Valks.) And welcome to the Yamato club!!
-
Cool. Just edit it to "Captain Char Aznable" under the canopy!!
-
It was my understanding that all Valkyries issued prior to the Hikaru's VF-1J Super were incompatible with FAST Packs: VF-1A Valkyrie (Hikaru Ichijo's Custom) VF-1S Valkyrie (Roy Fokker's Custom) VF-1A Valkyrie (Max Jenius' Custom) VF-1A Valkyrie (Production) (TRU Japan) VF-1A Valkyrie (Production) (Of course, this is also the case for the VE-1 and VT-1.) Before I even owned a Yamato, I was also thinking of doing a mod on the CF that was on its way to me. Figured I would just go get one of those Dremel things and drill-drill-drill in all the right spots. I then got a Hikaru Super and realized that I wouldn't just have to make the appropriate holes in the plastic areas, but the METAL LEGS TOO!! I then said "Oh, POO!" and let the dream slip away due to my inability to have any confidence with a power tool near my Valk.....or my appendages for that matter.

True.....there was also SUPER ROBOT IN ACTION. What I'm saying is that the original HCM line was not ONE franchise specific, so I hope they continue this idea with the HCM Pro. Whereas the MSiA, LiA, DiA, and SRiA lines were specific, this new introduction isn't titled: "MOBILE SUIT HCM PROGRESSIVE" or "MS GUNDAM HCM Pro" or "BUY MORE OF THE SAME ROBOT .. ONLY DIFFERENT" or "HOW MANY DIFFERENT RX-78s CAN YOU FIT ON YOUR SHELVES YOU SILLY PEOPLE"
-
Another greta link .... and the comparison shots are good. Still would like to see an "actual product" review, though. And now this comment...... (from HLJ article) "At their presentation, they indicated that they've got the lineup in place "for the next ten years," " I'm taking this as: --After SEED, the MSiA line is kaput. (aside from exclusive variations) --HCM Pro will take over and create the same suits over and over again Though, once again, I'm hoping this means: --they will immortalize unfamiliar suits that have not been done in the MSiA line (doubtful) --they include other series mecha. Remember, rather than the MOBILE SUIT in ACTION moniker.....this is just plain ol' "HCM Progressive". Can't a man dream?
-
Good point........I hope they do carry over this line into non-Gundams. Of course most, if not all, here would first reference the 1/72 Valks, but the HCM Vifam and Neofam being brought back would be great.
-
Nice pics and link CF!! Assembly is no biggee to me, I'm just glad the parts are pre-painted. I would assume they would be styrene, but who knows..... What are the odds on a nice enviro-nasty styro-foam tray.......oh, those were the days.... This is ALL I'M SAYIN'..............
-
Anyone know any more up-to-date info on the site being down? How about any contact with Nightingale? Somethin' ain't right............
-
and as if that wasn't enough.....
-
Although I've streamlined my stuff down to some DXs and MG kits, I still have my original HCMs, I look forward to review on the actual product as they are compact and do not appear that they will hit the wallet too hard......we shall see....... Some site pics....

Intergrated Weapons Striker Pack Basically all 3 original packs (Aile, Launcher, and Sword) into one handy-dandy pack. As per MAHQ, it's from SEED-MSV http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/seed-msv/index.htm
-
Excellent job on the model, Chris!! I can't wait to add this to my collection. (Also want the STRIKE too!) Here are some pics of the DIAS. He's got the nicely articulated hands/fingers a la MG Dom. I'm also intrigued at the side-to-side movement at the elbow....hmmmm... Also, http://aeug.blogspot.com/ has a rumor of the Freedom Gundam coming in the fall/winter. (MAHQ pic) I would also like to see some F-91 suits show up (Den'ans and Bergas..). And if they stick with some more Zeta....bring on THE O !!!!
-
Shy about what?!?! Damn!! Now how about some more!! I remember when you kicked me that VF-X wallpaper you mentioned you have some stuff...you really should get it out to humble all of us! BTW, key word is that it is "based" on Mr. Phoenix.

Wouldn't a 1/60 VF-0 be comparable in size to a 1/48 VF-1, though? I would think 1/60 is the "top scale" for the VF-0 and would cost as much as a 1/48. Just look at maxvf1a's 1/72 comp pic.....
