HOLY COW! I stopped eating breakfast when the video started! Best 10 minutes spent on a video to date. Lots of detail on the animation. Whoever made it should do something similar with Macross. LIke the Max vs Myria scene in the city. That would blow a lot of people away!
Now back to my soggy cereal. haha
I'm getting me 2. But with all the positive feedback you guys are giving him, I might get me 3. My skills aren't even close to tackling the resin kits, but I figure, if I mess 1 up, I can make up for it in the other.
I have read the first 2 chapters that have been fan translated. I like it so far, it does throw a bit of a different spin on things and changes the story somewhat, but not enough to say that it's no longer the same.
I need to take some japanese in college. I would really love to read the originals.
I'm going for sure. Signed up to help with the tear down. Not much of a morning person. If I decide to bring my nephews, do they need to sign up to? all are over 13.
I chekced Mr. March's site. There are some inconcistencies in the information. For example, the Comanchero attack helicopter. I'm still trying to figure out the specs on that one. Capt'n built a nice one, but the information says it can accomodATE 6 PASSENGERS.
Hey guys, I am going to try to get my feet wet in the scratch building process of models. I am no where near Captain America's talent, not even close to 10% of it. He has more talent in his pinky than I have in my whole body... Enough worshiping...
1) Where do I get the reference material to start some line drawings and set things to proper scale?
2) Where do I find the sculpting wood the Capt'n uses? I have a small lathe already, working on getting a mill and band saw.
3) What type of mold polyeurethane is recommended for the molds?
ANy help would be grateful Thanks in advance.
I like the animated version of the first pic. Too bad more detail information is available.
Since it only has a single engine "cone" on each side, it might be a dedicated attack copter and slim like the apache or even the eurocopter.
Then maybe a troop carrying variant to go along with it would be logical.
You've got the Hueys and the cobra side by side during Vietnam. The blackhawks and apaches in Iraq... Maybe a Comnchero and this unknown one for the macross wars.
I'm not to fond of the vericopter's battloid mode look. But it can be possible for the macross saga.
Looking at it more and more, it seems that the AUA copter is a single cockpit. I can't seem to find a second cockpit on the front or the one behind it.
Could it be shared technologies before the war? It looks too similar to the Comanchero to be from the "enemy" It could also be a captured "clone" like Iran is doing with that stealth UAV they captured...
I agree with that. I even wondered how the crew gets in and out. Does the cockpit have doors like the Hind?
The first pic of the copter actually has some similarity to the Patlabor one.
