Right you are, sir.

Oh god this car makes me drool. Take a look at the engine. Now take a step back and look at the car surrounding that engine. Yep, that's right, 550+ hp of turbocharged fun from a RB25DET in a lightweight 280z body. Here's a link to a dyno video - the engine sounds mantastic! Listen to my song!

Here's a funny bit of trivia. One of the executive producers for Iron Man is Peter Billingsley, more famously known as Ralphie, the kid who wanted a Red Ryder bb gun in "The Christmas Story". He has moved on from BB guns to a cybernetic powered armor of destruction. That's definitely grown up.

Actually, look closer, that is the pistol that Megatron picked up after throwing off Hot Rod and subsequently killed Optimus Prime with in the movie. -

WOW COOL!!! They're making Lost in Space 2!! -
Hahaha, Brian Earl Spilner. If ever I decide to move on to another Japanese sports car, the MK4 Supra is definitely high on my list. I've never been along on a drive in a Supra, and the only points of reference I have are the FD and the 350Z. Those two cars are like polar opposites when it comes to experiencing driving - one is very touchy and light while the other feels very solid and forgiving albeit less exciting. I wonder how one would describe the experience in a Supra. Alot of Supra sellers sure hit paydirt when F&F broke out. Glad you and your uncle took advantage. Man, my car was driven by Dominic Torreto himself! And look at how the value on the FD still sucks!

Hey Emajnthis, do you still own your 94 Supra Turbo or is it a former car?

For those of you that have never looked into the engine bay of a rotary car, I have these pics of my work this weekend. I was really surprised how the engine only takes up half of the engine bay and everything forward of the shock towers is mostly an airbox, the intercooler, radiator and AC condensor. Hell, I could stand in that big hole in the engine bay.
-
Hhahaha, it'll never be done. As soon as I finish something, I'll want to change another thing. I spent the last 3 hours pulling off the front bumper, draining the radiator, removing the stock intercooler and pipes, primering some rusted over spots in the engine bay, pulling out the AC condenser, compressor and all AC lines. After this I can finally tackle relocating my radiator and shoving in the bigass new intercooler. I think I could go all night with this and be done by Monday, but when am I going to fit in my FFXII hours?!

I got a little present in the mail today. And here's where that's going to be going this weekend if I have time:

Thanks Myk. Actually it's roadworthy now, I had taken out all the performance parts out of the engine bay and returned it back to stock. I can drive it around as soon as I get my registration stickers in the mail. But I think I'll be putting it back on jackstands in a day or two to take off the front bumper so I can take the AC out and replace the tiny little OEM intercooler with a bigger high flowing one, as well as putting all the performance goodies back in. Whats stupid is that I can pass the sniffer part of the smog test with the parts in, but I would fail visual, hence why I took them out. Daily driving the RX7 is uncomfortable at times since the cabin soaks up all the heat from the cat and turbos and there is almost no sound deadening. I wouldn't mind getting a Supra either, either a MKIII or MKIV. I imagine it'd be a much more comfortable daily driver prospect. Actually, what I really want to get as my next project car is a first gen Eclipse GSX. I have a soft spot for them as it was the first car I drove with any sort of performance. The first car I ever drove was a Mitsubishi Cordia. Never heard of it? I'm not surprised, it was crap.

There hasn't been any car talk in quite some time, so I'll put something out there to bump the thread. So as I have said earlier in the year, my RX7 hasn't been driven in close to a year due first to a fender bender, body work, then some work I put in to install new headlights, some maintenance and a long overdue smog check. The smog check was worrying me since CA smog tests aren't the friendliest to turbo rotary engines and even less so for a mildly modded one. I'm happy to say I finally had it tested and passed with flying colors. In fact, I passed with numbers even better than the test 2 years prior. It's quite a thing to get used to when you drive around a heavy 4 door for a majority of the year then hop into a light 2 seater with a twitchy suspension. It was unnerving to have to get reaccustomed to feeling every pebble and crack on the highway as well as the nasty tendency for the car to want to follow grooves in the road. The boost was a joy though - even if I hardly got on it - the stickers on my plates were dated July 2006, so I was pretty much expecting the police to come flying up to pull me over on the way to the smog test. Anyways, so you'd think I'd be anticipating driving it around and finally getting back into the drivers seat, right? Nope - I fortunately got an awesome deal on a front mount intercooler for the car that I'll be installing over the weekend, so it's downtime once again. I'll probably remove the AC while I'm at it since it isn't a daily driver anyways. Wish me luck.

So I bought one of those ebay knockoff Megatrons to cannibalize for parts on my real Megatron and it had that gay orange on the barrel. I figured, I'll use nail polish remover to take the orange paint off. Sadly, it didnt go so good and it also ate away at the gray plastic too. When I used my nail to scrape the orange off, gray came off too. Oh well, it was only 14 bucks anyways. -
Speaking of Kingdom Come, has anyone been following Alex Ross' Justice miniseries? Any fan of KC will love this series. I bought the hardcover volume 1 yesterday and it is awesome.

This is but a taste of the terror that Sauro.... err, Sony has in store for us. That was a great article, and especially the part about how Japanese media fails to report on such things to appease big business.

That's because they are running with the plot that Sandman was the actual murderer, not the guy that he caught in the first movie.

The crab is a jibe at the publicity for Genji, which boasted a "HISTORICALLY ACCURATE" medieval Japan, which according to them, was oppressed by a gigantic evil crab.

Don't set all your characters to gambits that prioritize healing. Use one character for that, and make sure that character uses ranged attacks to keep him/her out of the melee. So in one team of three, make one the healer, while the other two are the attackers. Make sure to prioritize learning all of the license board augments that add HP bonuses. Also, I used mainly light armor, since light armor adds HP bonuses. Heavy armor may provide higher defense but the addition of +50 to +100 hp from light armor is much more helpful. I adapted two different strategies for healing depending on when I am in regular battles versus boss battles. When in regular battles, I use healing gambits that use the Cure/Cura spells with a higher percentage trigger (<70% HP). When in boss battles, where response needs to be quick, I use gambits that use potions/hipotions with a lower percentage trigger (<60% HP). Both of these are augmented by learning augments from the license board that increase magic or potion potency. I do not think you have to start over. You can just stay at Lhusu Mines and spend time leveling and building up LP. Then you can move on from there after you are in better position. I did this myself to build up money and LP, and after I learned the proper augments, it made the rest of the game much easier.

The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0

Sigh... it uses the newer Mikimoto style of enlarged craniums and overly stylized hair. -
Wait until you get the Excalibur and Ultima Sword and you'll wonder why even bother summoning espers or casting offensive spells. On a different note, the graphics never fail to amaze me. Try walking around Rabanastre and Lowtown and just notice the intricacy and detail of the architecture. Even the floor tiles amaze me enough where I start thinking it would be nice to have that style in the floorplan of my house. I heard the design team traveled to Turkey to get ideas on architecture and background designs. I haven't seen a game yet that has that much detail in the city backgrounds, but I don't play that many games. What's really sad is that a majority of the game players will just run past this stuff that the team worked really hard on and never notice it. Even worse is when said people start moaning that the graphics are a travesty and that FF10 had better graphics. I'll never understand it. I can take screen caps from both games and its really obvious which one is graphically more detailed and visually impressive, but alot of people still have this sentiment.
-
Yeah, I brought up all the Star Wars references months back when I first started playing the game. Some are really obvious like you guys listed: 1) Evil empire/good rebellion 2) Princess fighting an evil empire 3) General thought to be a loonie 4) Roguish pirate/smuggler flying a fast ship with furry sidekick (although Fran is a lot more attractive than Chewie ) 5) Impetuous naive blonde kid wanting to explore the world 6) Mist = Force 7) Judges are similar to Stormtroopers/Darth Vader Bounty hunters on the trail of the roguish pirate There are more but some are spoilers.

Wow, are you blind? That was horrible in every conceivable way.

Sounds great. Although the max damage per hit in this game isn't anywhere near 99,999. Yeah, Basch and Vaan were my tanks with two handed swords. Ashe and Penelo were my healers, but Ashe was armed with a sword and shield, so she also melee. Penelo and Fran were my ranged attackers with Penelo using a gun and Fran using crossbow/bow. I eventually switched Fran to using spears. Balthier was basically a support tank when I needed him. My teams broke down into Vaan, Basch, and Ashe on team A, and Balthier, Fran and Penelo on team B. I know some people will just level up only 3 of their characters and basically ignore the others, but I made sure to devote time to leveling everyone to the same degree.
