Yeah i found that picture in the Custom Gallery on the main site and all it says is that "Kurt" did the paneling but I havent been able to find a thread or anything on how he did it.

yeah im not gunna go crazy and buy every single vf that yamato has made and for a few good reasons too lol. 1, i dont have that kind of money. 2, my girlfriend would think i was nuts. 3, im lookin to buy her an engagement ring. so with that said, at most I would get the 1/48 VF-1S, the 1/60 YF-19 and MAYBE the VF-0S or the VF-0A (havent really decided). But i think that would be about it because i only have so much space in my room and ive got enough crap in here as it is lol.

On a side note...IF I were to get the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru, could someone explain to me how to do this (see picture) Im talking about the panel lining lol

Yeah i thought about goin through HLJ but i have a feeling it would be the cost of shipping more than anything else that would kill me. HLJ is a great company but they are about 3000 miles in the other direction from me lol. I think what im gunna do is wait a while before I get the 2.0 version of the 19 with the fold booster because its still pretty expensive as it is. I think I will get the 1/48 though soley for the scale of it. I have a few of the early 1/60's and the one thing that drove me nuts about them was the scale (and the fact that they were heavier than sh!t). Yeah, thats how my gundam addiction started. it started with one and now its 40 or 50 models later lol.

Yeah I guess i could spoil myself once in a while lol. maybe if i dont spend any money for the next 2 weeks, i could do it when i get paid lol. Yeah ive heard the first edition of the 19 isnt the greatest. would you mind explaining why? Ive thought about getting the fold booster and fast packs FOR the 19 seperatley but i never thought about getting 19 combo pack. I guess it would be appropriate to get the fast packs for the 1S wouldnt it? Im just glad the fast packs for the 48's arent insanely expensive. the most expensive ive seen is about $100.00 and the cheapest is probly $50.00 somethin

Im not tryin to knock you die-hard macross toy collectors because I envy you quite a bit sometimes but im wondering if its really worth it to shell out a couple hundred bucks every time a new toy comes out? Thats the dilemma im in right now because for the longest time, ive wanted the 1/48 Yamato VF-1S Hikaru and the 1/60 YF-19 and I havent been able to get them. But now, I have the financial ability to get them but after thinkin for a while, im kinda stuck between buying a toy that will just sit on my desk and collect dust or i could use my money on important stuff like car payments, cell phone etc... Anyways, I was just wondering if I could get your opinion on if its worth it or not.

Ok, so let me see if I understand this correctly. Ive gone back and re-read all the pages of this thread so let me know if i missed somethin yamato decides to come out with a new 1/60 vf-1 line that apparently transforms like the 1/48 vf-1's. its smaller and costs less and will come with fast packs. the detailing seems like its gunna be about the same as the 48's but on a smaller scale and now the arms are double jointed. What....no kung fu fighting moves??? just makin sure i got all the facts straight lol. i think im gunna pass on this for now but when they come out, ill see how you guys like em first and then ill go from there, but for now im gunna keep plannin on gettin my 1/48 VF-1S Strike Hikaru and my 1/60 YF-19

wow, i didnt know that bandai got the license to it. maybe yamato will fight em for it?

Ok, so im a little confused on a few things. Ive watched the episode about 5 or 6 times now and ive got the basic story understood but there are still some things that I dont get - When and where did the VF-171's get introduced other than Frontier? Ive gone through all the pages of MAHQ and their frontier section is the only page where they have the 171 listed. Ive gone through this whole thread and reading about how everyone is so excited to see the 171's (especially graham) but I dont see why they are so popular if this is their first appearance and how everyone seems to already know about them. - Can someone explain to me the basic timeline of what happens after DYRL? Ive only seen Macross, DYRL and Mac + and Mac 0 so alot of this stuff about colony ships and what not is somewhat confusing. Keep in mind, I havent seen any of Mac 7 so maybe thats why. - Whats this I keep reading about one colony ship goin towards the center of the galaxy and the other away from it? Ive lost count at how many Megaroad ships there are and what kind etc... Thats all the questions I have for now but if I think of any others, ill post them. Im sorry if these questions seem lame or even rediculous but im honestly kinda clueless between frontier and +.

More...I must have more! yeah, easily one of the best Macross episodes ive seen in a long time. I love the CG and the whole look of it. Even those glider things were pretty cool. Im tryin not to give anythin away but this just flat out rocks! Yes, I forsee Yamato and Hasegawa making HUGE $$$ off of Macross F for toys and models.

Ok, i know this is a bit OT but can someone help me with this. I found a HUGE collection of random gundam images and within this treasure trove of pictures, I found this: (i apologize about the size) Anyways, I made a wallpaper out of that particular picture it but I would like to know HOW to get flash pictures from this site....if thats what the guy did. What about the 19's 360 view in the cockpit? Ive often wondered how that could be achieved

So I know that this is gunna be a dumb question and the majority of you are gunna be like "wtf did he just ask?" but ive never heard of this game and after watching those videos, im really intrested it in. Since I dont read japanese, is there a way to get the game in english or am I just gunna have to play it and dont read it? Also, where can I get it?

I was just thinking about this the other day and I was wondering what everyone else thought. Lets just say that the Air Force or Navy wanted a completley new, never seen or heard of fighter that was just light years beyond anything we have today, and if their options were the following: VF-0 VF-1 YF-19 Now keep in mind that this is based off of what technology is available at the moment so were not even including gerwalk and battroid modes...just the fighter modes. But Im curious to know what everyone would pick as the "NEW" generation of US Fighter. The reason I chose only those 3 were for good reasons. Well the VF-0 and VF-1 are already possible airframe ideas. Its basically a single seat F-14 with Mig-25 sized engines, thrust vectoring controls from the F-22, more square shape exhaust nozzles and the slanted tail fins of the F-18. And its also between the F-16 and F-18 in size. The YF-19 is a little more tricky because no modern day fighter has the look and shape of it but one plane did come into mind The reason I chose that plane was because of its wings. Its already been proven that particular style of wing can and does work in normal flight and the YF-19 is loosley based around it. Obvously the Grumman X-29 pictured above is a lot smaller than the 19 but the basic shape can be achieved.

So I was watching EP.1 of Mac Zero the other day and when you see Roy transform the VF-0S for the first time, I noticed that on the Engine/Leg intake, the intake covers open up but on the VF-1 they get closed??? Im assuming this is because of the difference in engines between the 2? The VF-0 with overtuned conventional jet engines where as the VF-1 has thermo-nuclear engines???

Yeah i think so too. When I first saw that picture, I instantly knew what kind of idea I had for it and thankfully it turned out better than I thought it would. Im not too crazy about the 2nd picture. Theres just not enough goin on and its too small but I thought it would look kinda cool. The 3rd picture though I thought was pretty cool. My original plan was to have the 19 over the f-14 so that the 19 was in front of the sun but i soon realized that it was going to be more of a pain than anything to get it to fit right so i said screw it and just put it below but made it look like they were flying in formation with the sun hitting both of them.
