About those hinges- I remember you saying something about being able to use pins salvaged from like, paper-clips or something in a pinch- how viable is that? Has it been tested with other types of pin, etc? I've been thinking about buying these for my Hikaru 1A, but the original shoulders are just cracked, not so badly that I wanna risk ruining the stock parts for the aftermarket parts. What would you suggest?

If I start seeing Basara's face in my breakfast cereal tomorrow I'm blaming you guys.

LMFAO I have to admit that's always been my complaint about Basara's VF-19 too... But I like how it looks under the clear-visor! So contradictory...

I for one love it, it looks exactly like the face he suddenly had after getting doused with whale-blood under there- Honestly I think it's a pretty good compromise given how much anime magic has to be in play to make that camera array into a super-robot face

Thank you kindly! VF-1S was a robotech changer, VF-1D is recent a bandai reissue. Still thinking about getting a VF-1J and a VF-1A to finish out the set, but with as time consuming as they are (especially with mods) I might just say 'screw it' and save up for more yamatos instead, haha.

A rather modest collection by MW standards I think, but I'm growing it slowly.

I used articulated hands taken from a gundam model on my old Imai/Bandai 1/72 scale transformable valks and they were exactly the correct size, but I think they'd be a bit small on the 1/60 valkyrie.

Sorry to go off topic, but I'm not sure where else to ask this- has anybody made extra 1/60 DYRL style handsets?

Custom Robotech: Breetai / Macross: Britai Kridanik figure

Oh man, I really like that! I would have never thought to make any sort of logical connection from Batman to Breetai, but seeing it here? It totally works. Really well done, man! -
Woaaaah. I'm usually more of a Minmei fan, but damn. Good show, dear sir, good show.

Oh no... I can see how that would happen, packing and moving is a big thing but argh, that sure does sound like the sort of thing to kick yourself for afterwards! I think I did the same thing with some random Zoids stuff the last time I moved... Now I really wish I'd been a little more careful.
-
Aha, thanks! I'll do just that if they don't get the other sizes in soon. I was worried they had stopped production or something.

Since this came up again, I was just on their website to price out their stands again and it would only let me add the 2.5 in stands. Anybody else have this problem?
-
Man that's pretty... But yeah, I'm starting to worry about the constant stand photos. It'd suck if after all this the toy can barely stand up.

IDK if this has been answered already or not, but is there any way to just replace these clear tips with some sort of rubber tip? Or does just covering them with something like cellophane work well enough to prevent damage?

Oh wow, so he's a recaster and an old fashioned thief? Talk about a lowlife! Yeah, I have to say I'm glad this thread exists as a warning for those of us who might not be as on top of these things or in the know.

I have to agree with you there. Maybe if Leader Jetfire hadn't pulled off the Blackbird look from the top, it wouldn't be such a glaring different. I mean honestly, Jetformers have underside kibble in general, I'm used to that, I don't care at this point but that kinda falls by the wayside if the airplane it's trying to hide under still looks like crap. Still better than the Energon version, though.- 9240 replies

You could probably still sell it depending on how badly broken it is and where it's broken, but It's a shame the old one seemed to disintegrate like that.

Argh, I just noticed that earlier. I was hoping to put together a batch order to be shipped together, so I was holding off, but it looks like I missed that window..- 275 replies

Yeah, it's an old piece of wooden furniture that was very nice at one point until the dogs decided to eat the legs. Rather than throw it away I just started using it to paint on. It's been pretty convenient.

I was just playing around with lighting conditions on my desk the other night, but I liked the effect I ended up getting, and this seems to be the place for such things. -
I think it's less 'we don't care about macross' and more 'we don't care about warping'. I stopped buying a lot of their Gundam toys years ago for the same reason... Don't know about their other chogokin stuff, but it wouldn't surprise me.
