I voted for smaller boxes. Sure, the 1/48 boxes look great, specially the black ones (they look so elegant!), but at the end it all boils down to how much we're paying for these lovely imports. Just most of you guys pointed out . I'm all for paying less for my toys .

Man, seeing another awesome pic of the MAX 1S, makes me think twice about that 1/48 MAX-1A I've put away for my son. Damn, 1VF-1 2NV, that is just one gorgeous looking valk, I'm so envious !! Anyway, here's an ordinary, run-o-da-mill pic of the HIKARU 1A in Gerwalk mode. I've never really been a big fan of this particular mode, but the 1/48 YAMATO just looks awesome in it. With FP's on, of course !

Seven Posted on Apr 25 2005, 08:09 PM Probably couldn't have said it better myself . VOLTES V's Cruiser volt-machine is waaaaaaaaay better than that of Combattler's!!!!

Yohsho Posted on Apr 25 2005, 10:25 PM Having used TAKATOYS on all 4 of my 1/48's, I've come to find out that to prevent any peelings from occuring, using a miniscule amount of glue on each decal was needed. I know using this would kinda defeat the purpose of having to buy/use decals, but look at it this way, would you guys rather buy an adhesive for a buck or buck-fifty OR waste an entire set of $10+ decals ? Glues that are used for building model kits, seem to work well. But I'd stay away from Crazy Glue. It seems to leave a gummy-like residue that'd mess up the decals.

Decaled---with TAKATOYS custom .

Man, what an excellent display! Wish it were mine !

Seven Posted: Apr 24 2005, 10:22 AM Hey, SEVEN, isn't this the GO DAIKIN version of VOLTES V that came out in the mid-late 80's? I think I might have seen one of this in MANILA, a few months ago, in a small anime store in the Edsa MEGAMALL Complex. A bit pricey though for the condition it was in, but stil looked cool !

Here's an updated version of my collection list (since everyone else's listing theirs !): 1/72 = 0 1/60 = 3 1/48 = 4

Why? The more toys the better as far as I'm concerned. If Toynami actually begins to think it's competing with Yamato we might actually see both companies put a little more effort into what they produce. Meaning more toys and stuff for us fans, hmmm? Never actually thought of it this way. We might turn out to be winners, if this was the case. But of course, that's a very big "IF" .

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! It's been a long time waiting for this one. Can't wait to pick it up !

Nice pics, you guys!! And that's a mighty fine collection there, KIRIRITH! !! But I guess it's safe to say that IKEA's making some money on MWers with their DETOLF cases ! -
Man, both customs look tight !! I wish I had enough patience and skills to make my very own custom !!! Excellent work, you guys!

Hey, thanks for the heads-up, Big G! You think these 2 will be a lot better than the ones we got, I mean in terms of QC? I really hope JOYRIDE's not gonna come out with a whole new set of vipers with loose and rattling right wings . But I gotta admit, they look good! Specially that "Silver Spar" version !

I have to agree with MR.MARCH here. The YAMATO version does look menacing and aggresive, which is exactly what the GBP ARMOR should look like. So, I guess it is the YAMATO version for me. Although, I'd probably take both, if given the opportunity. I mean, who wouldn't ?!

Who's your favorite Star Trek Captain?
connor99 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I voted for Janeway, only because she and her crew were thrown out there at the ass-end of the galaxy and went through hell before coming back home. I think that kind of thing deserves some respect, but of course, that's just me . -
Alright, now that's the kind of thing I like to hear! If YAMATO is completely backing away from anything and everything MACROSS, that's fine! But give us our 1/48 GBP!! And I agree with KENSEI here, it's more likely a marketing ploy. And for what reason? Maybe to sell more 1/48's, who knows?!

Thanks, WICKED ACE !! Believe or not, it's just a plain, old DETOLF display case from IKEA. I got it for $99, but it was put on sale for only $69. The only thing I don't like with this particular display case model, though, is that it can only house a certain number of 1/48's. Fortunately for me, that's not much of a problem . -

**** Booby?!! **** Finally got my very own TV Version SKULL 001. Still needs a lot of work, but I can't wait to post this pic. So, here goes! Thank You, BTW, to JOLE727 and GODZILLA, for hooking me up with a Re-Ish 1/48 and a set of TV FASTPACKS . -
I tossed mine away the same day I bought the Viper !!!!

You're right, the stripes are orange, rather than red . Oh well, I suppose I can get a MK II kit to replace this one, problem is I'm not any good at putting together model kits !!
