I'll second SHIN's last query. Would be nice to get some extras, now that they're harder to find at reasonable prices. Oh, and 1/48 MAX 1S, but of course, that's been asked a couple of times already in this thread . Thanks, GRAHAM!
Damn, now I gotta check all my YAMMIES! I wonder though how much deterioration the YAMATO valks are prone to? I just don't wanna have to resort to keeping 'em locked up in a(n) airtight vault or something just to keep them all pristine !
For me, MAX would have to be the best pilot in the MAC universe, with ROY in a close second. I have to admit though that I didn't vote for any of these guys, but rather I chose HIKARU because if it were me flying a valk, I'd rather be lucky than good !
True. I guess my gripes about these titaniums stem from the fact that they're so small. As it was pointed out before, it would've been nice to have a titanium VIPER in the same scale as the JOYRIDE ones.
I guess things like these are to be expected from a 3 inch, $5 die-cast toy ! These titanium releases really suck (with maybe the exception of the VIPER MK. II) .
If YAMATO never came out with anything MACROSS, I would probably be collecting the BANDAI 1/55's. The first time I ever saw the chunky's I fell in love with them but could not afford them back then (damn, I was 9 yrs old at the time!).
I totally agree! Are those kill marks behind the valk's nosecone? I think they would've looked better on the FP's instead, but to each his own I guess ! Nice pics, though!
You're actually right, GHOSTRYDER! I saw DYRL again last night and HIKARU's VF-1S did have the black heatshied and emblems in a couple of scenes before he off'ed BODOLZAA. Andt thanks for posting yer pics, they look 110% better than mine. Just absolutely gorgeous !
a warm welcome to you as well, MAJOR FOCKER! Hey, those 1/48 VF-1S HIKARU's shouldn't be hard to find on-line. The 1/60 STRIKE FOCKER is another story though, at least not for a reasonable price. But if you want, you can just go for the 1/48 which is a much bette re-incarnation to begin with anyway .
Totally agree with VERMILLION01 'coz I find the JOYRIDE releases to be much better than those bite-size titaniums. Here are some photo references: (the BLUE SQUADRON VIPER is in the middle and the SILVER SPAR is the one to the right.)
Which is probably the reason why they focused their attention on perfecting the 1/48's. But of course, I'm still holding on to my 1/60 SUPER HIKARU 1J,he-he !
