  1. My sister in law's girlfriend backed into our Cobra earlier today. It is not terribly damaged, but their truck's bumper was just high enough to crumple part of the fender and crack the side marker. I'll have to take it to the dealership tomorrow and see if the fender can be saved or if we will need another one, although the metal is so dimpled that I believe we probably will. Now I just need to find out the total to fix it, which will decide whether or not I report it to the insurance company. And no they don't have insurance, not even freaking liability. I swear that if another member of my husband's family even steps foot in our yard for the next month, I'll kick his @ss. Forgot to resize the pic...

  3. red rum! I'll second this one. Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrence in the film based on Steven King's book The Shining. Never knew he could be so scary. Wasn't this also a Kubrick film?
  4. It's not in the i-sheet. It's a heel-balance thing when in bot-mode. The funny thing is that the i-sheet that came with Shockblast has Meister as the bot. Nothing new there. The instructions for Swindle feature Hound, the one for Ravage features Tracks, and now the instructions for Shockblast(wave) feature Meister. SOP for Hasbro. Hasbro's instructions also have a tendency to skip steps that are spelled out a lot better in the Binaltech manuals.
  5. I'd love to know what colors Jung used on Stick's cyclone and armor. I can't seem to find a color I like that really looks right. Even following the directions on the instructions, the color just doesn't look right to me. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Melissa
  6. Reddsun1 is right, tire smoke is awful. I remember getting an assigned spot at Gateway in St. Louis where the wind constantly blew the smoke from the burn-out box in my direction. As if that wasn't enough to give me a headache, even though we were not right at the staging lanes we were close enough so that I went back to the hotel that night with burnout box ear. As for other track smells: VP racing fuel is not that bad, but any car running alcohol (even with scents added) smells horrible to me. I'm still trying to get ready for my next event. (Fun Ford Weekend in Bella Rose, Lousiana on April 1-3) Need to remove my fuel cell and reinstall the gas tank so I can make the 30 mile road cruise required for True Street. Oh joy, just how I wanted to spend this weekend. And that is assuming I get my new pulley for the 'charger in time...bearings gone bad in less than a year...what a joke. On top of that, our truck is in the shop so I've got to borrow my Dad's Lightning. With gas prices, I'll be broke before I get to the track. I don't mean to complain so much as I really am looking forward to it. Just so much I have to do to get ready in such a short time. And my engine builder will be there, so I don't want to embarass myself. Wouldn't it be lovely to spend all the time, effort, and money to get there and then red-light in the finals? Been there, done that. Wish me luck folks. I would *love* to set up a car for Auto-X'ing but there is literally no track anywhere within a hundred miles of where I live where I could run. The closest track to me of any kind is a piss-poor drag strip that is only 1/8 mile and guess what is at the end of the track to stop you if you can't do it on your own? A cornfield...I kid you not. Wouldn't that be a way to go...lose control of your car and get impaled by an ear of corn? In an seriousness though, much respect to those of you who are part of the circuit. I really do think I would be more scared pushing a car through a corner on a wet surface even at (relatively) low speeds than I would ever running a 9 sec. car on a 10.5 slick. I just point and shoot and relay on Mr. Moser and Mr. Strange for help. You have to work every second to keep your car under control. That is something everyone should understand and respect.
  7. There is something I have been thinking about ever since the airing of the episode "Six Degrees Of Seperation" that might pertain to all of the Cylons. Was it Baltar's Six or another copy that we saw? If it was Baltar's six, how did she spring from his mind fully formed? Could she have projected her consciousness into all of the crew members? That would not explain the items Adama found in his office though.... If it was a copy, then I suppose she could be hiding within the fleet. But how would a copy know so much about Baltar? For that matter, how did Caprica Boomer know so much about Helo? Do the Cylons share some form of ESP? We have already heard mention that when one is killed, the memories are transferred to another copy. But would all the copies share the feelings and sensations that one of their kind is feeling at the exact moment one of their "others" is experiencing it? Speaking of this transference (and possible sharing) of memories brings up two more questions. Can a Cylon only trasmit memories to another Cylon? The fact that Baltar's Six seems to exist in his head after apparently being destroyed on Caprica seems to argue that assumption. Also, you have to wonder if there has to be relatively close conduct for the transfer. The Cylon that was flushed out of Galactica's airlock seemed to be worried that his "soul" wouldn't make it to the Gods, which I am thinking actually means he believed his memories would not be transferred to another copy. So maybe there was not a Cylon close enough for the transfer. But why wouldn't he be able to pull Six's trick and transfer to a human? Thoughts on any of this?
  8. That is a possibility...that or he will wind up going completely nuts. It has been interesting watching Six push him to the edge and them pull him back time and again. I wonder if Six has her own agenda when it comes to Baltar, or if he actually figures into the overall Cylon plan? I also wonder if even Six can control him now that he is in a position of power...I wouldn't be suprised to see him start pushing his own agenda. Also, if the show could keep only one Boomer who would you want it to be? Galactica Boomer (the cylon sleeper, who suspects but doesn't know what she is) or Caprica Boomer (who is aware that she is a Cylon, is apparently in love with Helo, and may even be pregnant?)
  9. Good man! Yukikaze had great eye candy, but the plot was...uh...well...was there a plot?!? ........................... And Opus is right people. Please keep the RT.com crap where it belongs. (HINT: Not at Macrossworld.
  10. That is because there never was a G1 character called Decepticharge. It is a brand new name. Most people thought it was just a Hasbro placeholder for another name, and sort of a play on words (Decepticon Windcharger). But, the name appeared on the final packaged product so it looks like Alternators gets another first...the first one in the line without a name tied in any way to G1. Meister doesn't count as that was always Jazz's Japanese name.
  11. She is a beauty Phyrox! Stock or modified?
  12. Yeah, it comes with the Matrix. It actually comes with all the accessories that MP Prime came with. (ax, gun, etc...same things, just repainted to match Magnus). AFAIK, the only thing different with MP-02 besides the repaint is that the paper trailer it comes with is the one for Ultra Magnus. (which IMO looks like an ugly origami mess...)
  13. That info came to me from Yvan. He wrote the article that is translated into English here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mospeada/lansa...y_tread_toy.htm He contacted me when I first posted pictures of my Tread. Just wanting to give credit where credit is due. Thanks, Carl That is what I get for not doing a simple search. Thanks for the correction Carl. .................................... And MGREXX, count me in as curious about your source. I'd like to know if it is a guess, info from Toynami or RT officials, or just from the voices in your head. j/k Seriously, I'd love to see a tread/beta from Toynami but I am not holding my breath. I'd think if they were really serious about producing one, we would have seen a prototype or mockup long ago. After all, I am admittedly no toy design expert, but it doesn't seem as if it would easy to design a beta to link up with the alphas without some forethought put into the alpha design from the beginning. And I've yet to see anything on the production alphas that look as if it could be connection points to a beta. There is still hope for the 1/55 Beta. Or at least I still have it. Believe me Godzilla, despite my cynicism there isn't a toy I'd love to see more than a tread/beta. I do still have a fervent hope that Toynami will produce one, but I would not be suprised if they don't. Some may have more faith in Toynami that I do but I'll let the following quote from David T. Wolf speak for me:

  15. He's right. All the Lansay tread toys were packaged with the small 1/72 legioss toys that they connected with. All the Lansay tread toys were apparently available only in blue, although our resident Mospeada toy expert Carl says that some of the legioss toys packaged with them in the double box included the blue, red, and green ones.
  16. Yep, it was mentioned a while back in the Auctions section. Wish I had one, and I would actually pay that and more for one. I just don't know if I would want that one as it looks a little rough...
  17. The figure has been named Overdrive by Takara for the Binaltech release and hasn't been released yet. And although some recent pictures of BT Overdrive did feature the figure with the drive shaft intact, no one knows for sure whether it will actually be included with the figure or not.
  18. Am I missing something? We have seen the Alphas and the New Gen/Mospeada bookends in the MPC thread. Is there a pic that isn't loading for me that shows something else?
  19. I got my replacement drive shaft repro from a U.S. seller who can be found on the TF boards. ($7.50 shipped) A7, I don't know if it is your Windcharger or just the repro, but mine snaps securely on the brackets and holds the engine in place. I also didn't have to enlarge the hole for the pin to fit. It is possible that the recaster you bought from just used a larger diameter pin. If anyone wants, I can find my calipers and check the size since you should be able to find the brass rods at a hobby shop. I can snap some pictures later if anyone wants, but I haven't yet cleaned up the driveshaft and permanently installed it (just a small amount of flash and a barely visible mold parting line to sand away). It really does improve Windcharger looks, and it is a mod I highly recommend.
  20. What is that hideous thing in front of UM? ...the one that looks like an anoxeric turkey with two heads wearing a tie-dyed shirt? Thank God for the Binaltech/Alternators line. As for MP-2, I'll pass. Not paying that much for just a simple repaint.
  21. Did anyone happen to catch the A&E movie 'See Arnold Run'? We didn't have time and I was just wondering how it was. I'm not really a big Arnold fan, but I do respect the determination with which both he and Maria approach everything, so I'd like to know if this movie was worth watching.
  22. Heh... Koenig monster kit for sale complete with all screws needed for assembly, boxed in custom packaging, and free with each kit...a small piece of Ken's sanity! It will be worth the wait and I am just glad Ken has been willing to put so much work into this project. BTW, who else has bought the Yamato VB-6? I've noticed that even without diecast, it is a pretty hefty toy. The completed Koenig Monster model kit is going to be one big heavy chunk of resin.
  23. A set of action figures produced by Konami for an anime series called Get Ride! Amdriver. The specific figure we are talking about is an orange bike that can transform into armor for one of the figures. (Amdriver Bisar Series 02: Moto Bisar "Griffon".)
  24. Toys N Joys has them in stock and it's where I bought both of mine. thanks dude...for some reason i could'nt find em on toynjoys site.. + the listing seems a bit vauge for the moto..hmmm cooool I'm not a dude, but you are welcome! The Moto Bisar is listed on the bottom of the page as:Amdriver Bisar Series 02: Griffon (Konami). It is the original one though and not the white recolor. I am very happy with mine, although I admit that most of the time they just sit in my display case. You might consider e-mailing them if you want to see if they will be carrying the white one later. They are usually pretty quick at answering questions. Happy hunting! Melissa
