THe VB-6 Koenig Monster kit....a variable monster resin kit that many of us have a desire to own. A desire we came close to fulfilling with the original planned re-cast project...but that never happened. So what can we do? We know that only a limited number of the original kits were produced for Wonderfest...making them very rare and very expensive. There are probably not enough kits for all who want one and those that are available are most likely out of the price range of many. That said, I want to provide a possible solution....A second recast project for the kit. I do need help though...specifically two things: (1.) Help in finding a complete original kit (Got any leads?) (2.)A re-caster willing to take on a project of this size. ( I lack the talent and experience needed for a project of this size and complexity) I will of course bankroll all the costs for the original kit and the materials needed by the re-caster(s). So who is interested and what does everyone think? Possible or pipe dream? Please keep in mind that even a re-cast of the WF kit will most likely be expensive due to the complexity of the kit. How much? I dunno. That will be left up to whomever takes up the challenge of re-casting the kit. I'm not in this for a profit myself. Just want to make a rare and much wanted kit a little more available. So post your thoughts, rants, and constructive criticism in the thread and e-mail if you can help or are interested in working on the project. Thanks, Melissa lytemup315@aol.com

I have to interject here on Seiichi's behalf. The reason these recasts were not completed is not Seiichi's fault. He did everything he could to help ease this project along & still to this day feels very badly about not getting this project completed. The real reason this batch of recast orders didn't get made is because Mr. Sakuragawa of IHP has been overloaded on other projects. Especaially now, since Yamato has hired him to do projects for them; so you are still seeing his work in sense. As far as the Konig Monster goes, we most likely will not see any new recasts for some time to come. Most unfortunate for us here that did order, but think of all the new Yamato stuff still coming out that Mr. Sakuragawa is involved in. "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few." Thanks for clearing that up xstoys! I was afraid I didn't have the correct story. Very glad that that Yamato has Mr. Sakuragawa on staff though! Any news as to what items he is working on? ...and I still can't help hoping that we do eventually see some re-casts of the VB-6 Koenig! You never know! And can you confirm whether or not some of the kits were made? And if so, do you have any idea how many are floating around out there? Thanks, Melissa

Ah, the much wanted IHP Koening Monster transformable resin kit! I wouldn't get my hopes up, since the pre-orders for the *first* batch never went through. I think it has something to do with Seichi not having enough time to devote to the project...although don't hold me to that... I have heard though that a few of the kits were produced. If so, the best place to check is Yahoo Japan but make sure you save your pennies. If there are any of these kits floating around, they are going to be very few and very expensive.

Yep, Jazz has always been Meister in Japan. I am wondering though why they are using it for the American Alternator name? As a name for the Binaltech figure, I wouldn't have been suprised. But I almost expected "Autobot Jazz" instead. And yes, I realize that isn't the greatest name...but we are getting "Autobot Tracks" as the name for the corvette. So why the real reason for the name swap? What think folks? Will it indeed be Jazz with another name that is used as a homage to hardcore TF fans? Or will it even resemble Jazz at all? ( I am just assuming that it just might based on the name and the suspiciously familiar head sculpt seen on Mazda's site) And assuming it does have Jazz's head sculpt, will it be the red that Mazda seems so fond of? Or could we get Jazz's old white color scheme? ..... *and yes, I know this is a mockup and not indicative of the final product...but hey, I can't help hoping that the head sculpt does look a lot like this* -
Wow, there really is a Ronald McDonald...and he ain't slinging hamburgers, he is designing toys! Seriously, what are those Playskool monstrosities? Please tell me they aren't from the Transformers Energon line....

Why Camshaft? Is it just because the original omnibot was an RX-7? Seems a rather obscure character and name to pluck out of TF history. Just wondering...don't really care either way. If it looks nice, I'll pick up the BT version anyway. The only news that does bother me: Tracks *will* be yellow! No sunstreaker then? I blame Chevrolet and their overzealous love of the color yellow on the corvette! Melissa -

Just got a Platinum GBA SP from hubby for my birthday and I love it! Small, cute, and with a backlight...thank you Nintendo for saving me from eye strain! The only two games I have so far are Tetris Worlds and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Just wondering if I can get some good game recommendations. I pretty much like all genres...from RPG's, platformers, shooters, RTS, you name it...fighting games are the only thing I don't much care for. Sorry, my soul doesn't burn! Also, wondering if I should get a link cable for my GC. Any advice about Nintendo's connectivity push? (And any games that truly fit the bill?) What about other accessories? What do I need? ....Are there cases one can find for the GBA games? (I think it sucks those don't come with the games!) What about batteries? ...Is there some battery setup that can give a longer gaming time? Headphones so I can game in private on flights? Even heard about something that turns a GBA into a radio. And what about the rumours of a device that allows the GBA to be used as an MP3 player? You get the idea, so help me accessorize! What new toys do I need to compliment my newest toy? Anywho, please help me out fellow MW'ers!! Thanks In Advance!, Melissa

..."Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!" Great news!! And kudos to Gundamhead for sculpting such a nice model! Melissa

*Imagines the detail that could be added to a fighter model of that size* ...I'd sell my mother-in-law to have just a tenth of your sculpting skill! ... Melissa

And well it should...You really did an incredible job with this kit!! Any other Macross projects in the pipeline? I'd love to have another of your kits to work on!

Yes, Ford is Mazda'a parent company. Nope! Look again at the signs on the display. Both Mazda *and* Ford monikers are featured prominently and distinctively. So perhaps licensing issues are handled seperately between the two brands. I am just relieved that we will be seeing Ford vehicles in the Binaltech/Alternators line. Now I just have to hope that one of those vehicles will be a Ford mustang! -
Angelbirds! Seriously, they all look terrific! Even poor Kakizaki is wonderfully represented. Just wondering if you would mind sharing the paint colors that you used on the models. It would certainly help quite a bit! I especially love the color on the M&M VF-1's, Kakizaki's VF-1, and the YF-21! Wonderful work..thanks for sharing! Melissa D'oh! eDit 4 speling korekshuns

Just thought I would add a question of my own for the other gaming experts and afficionados. Was thinking of picking up a copy of Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 for my GC soon. What think? Play? Or avoid? ...Specifically, how is the *offline* play? Any help would be much appreciated! Melissa

Just a few of my favorites not already mentioned... Skies Of Arcadia Legends Starfox Adventures Timesplitters 2 Resident Evil 1 (REmake...not just a simple remake but a 70% new game) Medal Of Honor Frontline & The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time/Master Quest (the old N64 game with some new additions that came out as a free bonus for ordering Wind Waker.....my Wal-Mart still has several in the games section for sale at ten bucks a pop..well worth it if! )

Random things you've picked out watching Macross

Who or what is on the poster on Minmay's bedroom ceiling in DYRL? Couldn't make it out the last time I watched (okay...I was too lazy to hit the pause button actually..but anyway...) ?? -
Lucky folks! I don't think I've gotten a tax refund since shortly after graduating college. As usual, I will wait until April 15 before begrudgingly mailing Uncle Sam the pound of flesh he gets from me yearly... (I really wish they were more things that could be counted as valid deductions..)

Apologies in advance...I know this doesn't belong in this thread but I didn't want to start a new one for just one question. Add to that that I am pretty sure that several of the people that post to this thread regularly are much more "in the know" about games than I am. So here goes: Anyone heard anything about FF Crystal Chronicles (for the Gamecube) ? Just wondering if I should bother pre-ordering this one. If it makes any difference, both EB and Gamestop are giving free GBA/GC link cables to those who pre-order. What think? Anyone have any news, screeens, or opinions for this game? Thanks in advance! Melissa

yes they are also planning on releasing it on the gamecube. http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/ro...botechinvasion/ It makes me feel better to see that...*but*, I'm not really certain whether to believe it yet or not. Any news from Vicious Cycle or TDK itself? Really curious to see if it indeed will be available for the GC. Anyone ventured into RT.com lately to see if there is any news?

Because Hsabro used that name for a badguy/traitor already. Ayup, correct! .. And since Energon is a continuation of Armada, (albeit a few years later....) I'm assuming that "Wheeljack" will show up again so they can't use the name for this new bot. And I've yet to see a single Energon toy I like. But, that is what Alternators are for so I'm not complaining!
