  1. Did I mention that my Macross Zero OST is a real CD and not a bootleg? Yes, they are more expensive, but every Japanese CD I own are all originals!
  2. Cool! I haven't logged in today yet and haven't seen the decorations.
  3. I don't think that Sam Vincent will sound like Edd when he plays Athrun. I've heard a few other voices he's done and he didn't sound like double-D. Of course, when we get the series on DVD I'll be listening to the Japanes track anyway.
  4. I didn't even think that was a real auction for a few moments. This auction is definitely a keeper!
  5. What would you like to know specifically? I have the cd and enjoy it immensly. As far as the track go: 1 Life Song 2 ARKAN~part 1~ 3 VF-Zero 4 Tori no Hito (Bird Man) 5 Sky Shine 6 Forest Song 7 Welcome 8 Hirobi no Kaze (Wind of Destruction) 9 Kaisei (Sacred Ocean) 10 counter clockwise 11 crack radio 12 MAO 13 Totem Spell 14 GAN BORA 15 Prayer 16 MAYAN 17 ARKAN~part 2~ My translations of the Japanese song titles are very rough, so if they're inaccurate, pleas forgive me.
  6. The Prometheus is already comissioned by the time Macross Zero takes place. The Prometheus was comissioned in December of 2006.
  7. Not necessarily. According to the compendium, there were around a million survivors that weren't on the Macross.
  8. Geez, why didn't I see that question last night? I actually have the ELO album that "Twilight" is on!
  9. While it wasn't directed by him, if memory serves, wasn't Dragonar yet another Tomino creation?
  10. Going by the events in OSM, Roy and Claudia definitely know each other by the time Zero takes place. From what I figure from the timeline, Roy and Claudia probably first met sometime in 2006. The United Nations Wars were still going on at that time. The flashback in Rainy Night indicates that Roy was still fighting against the Ant-UN during the earlier mentioned UN Wars.
  11. I have no complaints about Kawamori not using Yoko Kanno for the music of Zero. Yes, I like her work, but so far, every Macross series has used a different style of music. The original series and DYRL had early-80s J-Pop/orchestral music, Macross Plus has the semi techno/industrial sound, Macross 7 was 90s rock/J-Pop and now Zero has gone for what I would call and island theme. I think the varieties of music has so far worked well for Macross.
  12. It's very rare to find the gold book with the 35mm film strip in it. My gold book didn't even have it. I believe only the first printing of the book had the strip in them. My book, unfortunately was a 4th printing. Maybe one of these days I'll buy a second copy. The one I have now is showing its signs of age. It would be nice to have a mint-condition copy of this book.
  13. Yes. You can tell the bootleg books from the real books by the differences in the covers. The cover of Macross Perfect Memory has pictures of the SDF-1, Daedalus, Prometheus, an Oberth-class destroyer, an ARMD and several destroids on it. Both books have the exact same cover, however, the inks used are different. On the real book, the illustrations are printed with blue outlines and a metallic-silvery color for the shading. On the bootleg books, the silver coloring just looks dull and grey. From what I've seen these day, the gold books usually goes for around $400 or so. I have really no idea what would pass for as fair these days. When I bought my gold book about 15 years ago, I paid $80 for it, which was about the cover price of the book.
  14. Impressive! I actually thought the picture was completely real!

Very nice! I likt the look of realism you went for!
  16. Ahh, nice to see that I'm among my fellow 80s generation! My family didn't get its first VCR until 1986. DYRL was the very first anime that I saw in its original Japanese format, so it's a much revered film in my heart. 80s anime definitely ranks as my favorite era in animation.
  17. Add yet another vote to Milia's slaughter of Zentraedi troops!
  18. Hmm, I didn't see any "alien" hieroglyphics in the end credits (I assume that's what you mean). I did see some Korean names mentioned in the credits. There was also the song lyrics in the subtitles for the closing the song in Japanese, Romaji and English. No "alien" looking language though.
