  1. The original Macross and DYRL didn't have Kanno doing the music, either and look how good the music for them is! Granted, she probably wasn't even working in the industry back then, but her music isn't essential for Macross' music to be good. Even without her doing it, I quite liked the music for Macross Zero!
  2. Are you sure about that, Seto? I've always seen that the scenes from Macross Flashback 2012 was intended use at the end of Do You Remember Love?, hence why it appears at the end of the newer releases of DYRL and also why the Macross keeps the appearance that it had in the movie.
  3. I don't see why they even bother putting up a release date anymore. They might as well just be honest and say, "we don't know when the new installment is going to be released.".
  4. Better late than never! Speaking of which, I'm currently building the 1/500 Yamato this very moment!
  5. My first Sentra was a '92 B13 that even after 16 years I still miss even though it had absolutely no options. It was the first and so far only car that I bought brand new. I prefer my B15 over the B14 I had. My only real disappointment with the '05 is that it lacks the front end and five-spoke wheels of the '02-03 SE-Rs. You will definitely not get any arguments from me about the B16s, though. I don't, however, mind how the B17s look. I'll only worried about the quality of CVTs when manual transmissions are no longer an option.
  6. I'm actually one of those crossovers. Despite my defense of the newer Nissans, I still prefer older Nissans like you do. Before I bought my current Sentra (an '05 SE-R SpecV) I was searching for either a mid-90s 300ZX or a '97/98 240SX. To this day I'm still kicking myself for passing up a white '97 240SX because it was an automatic.
  7. Actually, I haven't owned a car that wasn't a Nissan in over twenty years. Granted, they've all been Sentras. And again, as far as design aesthetics, we're talking our own tastes here. You don't like the new Maxima, I do, neither of us are wrong. Plus, since when has not owning a particular make or model of car made anyone unqualified to judge whether they like a car's looks. I don't need to own a Porsche to know that I don't like the way one looks.
  8. I'm going to have to disagree with you there. So far, I've been really liking the new designs coming out of Nisaan. For the first time in twenty years, they've actually come out with a design for the Maxima that I really like. Now, if we were having this conversation a few years ago, I'd probably agree, as I found most of the designs from '06 to about '12 to be lacking. I guess it just comes down to individual tastes in this case.
  9. Speaking of the Z, I think Nissan's a bit overdue for a totally new design for the Fairlady seeing that its current form is already over 12 years old.
  10. I was happy to see that Fafner EXODUS has started back up again.
  11. You are, indeed, correct! I got the shipping info and the kit was picked up at 4:44 pm, CST. The price wasn't bad, either. With the shipping, the order came out to $97.10, which is still less than Gundam Planet's price of $117 before shipping (though I could avoid that since Gundam Planet is located about 90 minutes from me). I'm feeling a strange sense of accomplishment seeing that I bought the only one they had in stock!
  12. Thanks for the info, Dobber, I just placed an order for it!
  13. I, for one, do not object to an RE:100 line Kshatriya. As long as I can get it at 1/100 scale, I don't care what line it comes under!
  14. I picked the boxset up two weeks ago in the Mandarake at the Nakano Broadway Building for $100. I have yet to watch it, though.
  15. I actually did try a few department stores and other smaller venues and still no luck. Sadly, I'm back in the US already. I'll probably buy it on this side of the Pacific, but of course, for a much higher price than I would have in Japan. Although, if I do factor in the cost of shipping if I had bought it in Japan, the price would have come out around the same.
  16. I can't think of any other shops that antibiotictab hasn't mentioned. Although there weren't any in Akiba, Bic Camera has several stores in Tokyo as does Yodobashi Camera.
  17. I bought that kit this trip. I've seen that one everywhere.
  18. I actually broke my rule of buying only 1/100 scale kits and bought some 1/144 scale Gundam kits. The G-Lucifer, G-Arcane, G-Self Assault Pack, Lightning Gundam, and both Lightning Back Weapon sets.
  19. I'll be re-watching Frontier as soon as I get back from my Tokyo trip. I was able to pick up the bluray box set for 12,000 yen in the Nakano Mandarake.
  20. I'm grateful to see you translating more of the Macross backstory! Keep up the awesome work!
  21. You've probably been to all the shops in Akiba that I've been in yesterday! A friend of mine will be in Osaka on Sunday and mentioned that Joshin Hobby allegedly has them in stock.
  22. Been thinking of buying one. Are the armor parts for the regular YF-29s compatible with this new toy?
