  1. As with any import game, your PS 2 will need to be modded.
  2. I'm sure the planes would have looked much better if he used an even larger scale for the carrier.
  3. I've seen stranger things than American engines in Japanese cars and vice-versa. In my local auto shopping magazine there was a 2000 Ford Escort with body mods from no less than three different cars. This car had a Silvia front end, S2000 taillights and Z3 fenders. I have no idea what this person was thinking about!
  4. I'm no expert, but the 430 engines used in two of the mustangs are much larger (7.0 liters) than the RB26DETT (2.6 liters), so yes, the Windsors would be quite a bit heavier than the Nissan engine.
  5. I believe that in the original Gunbuster, FTL and Warp were two different means of travel. When they go to FTL, they show the ships accelerating to speed. With Warp, they show show the ships either disappear instantaneously. or enter into a "window" into hyperspace.
  6. Britai's ship was firing multiple beam cannons from the front of the ship. When you see them in the shot where the camera is looking directly at the front of the ship you can clearly see that it's many beams being fired. When the camera angle switches to show a 3/4 view of Britai's ship firing its weapons, the multiple beams sort of look like one large beam weapon. It's just the viewing angle and the way it's animated that makes it seem like Britai's ship has a large-scale beam weapon.
  7. I'll stick to Britai's ship not having a split-bow cannon for two reasons. 1. TV series lineart not showing it has one. 2. It's also not listed in any of the stats given in several Japanese sourcebooks.
  8. On another note, the term ASS-1 is also used in the timeline that appears on pages 54 + 55 in the Macross Perfect Memory book. I noticed, too, that there aren't any cases of Britai's ship splitting in the TV series. Only in DYRL do we see this. All TV series lineart would seem to indicate that it wasn't a feature in the series. The movie lineart does contain illustrations of Britai's ship splitting as we see in the movie.
  9. In the TV series only one type of Zentraedi ship had a splitting-bow cannon. It is mentioned in the Macross Compendium. Gun Destroyer ?C?ͼBR> Government: ZENTRADI Ship Type: GUN DESTROYERS Dimensions, metres: Approximately 1500 (length) Main machinery: reactor. Cannons: One main bow-firing energy beam cannon. Programmes: This medium-scale gun destroyer is used in planetary bombardment and large-scale fleet-to-fleet engagement. 10. from what I know, no. Can you get Skylines in the UK? The G35 is just the American name for the Skyline.
  11. Despite being slow, Nanashi is still subbing the series.
  12. The cut scenes from the Saturn/PSX game were specifically made for the game and do not appear anywhere else. The movie was released in 1984. The game and its animated footage was released in 1997.
  13. Nuts! Figured that I put my lack of model complaint in the thread for the figures! Sorry about that!
  14. I'm still waiting for Bandai to release Master Grade kits of the Geara and Jagd Doga suits
  15. I've been pretty good at not spending lots of money on single items. The most expensive thing in my anime collection is the 1/144 Gundam Dendobrium kit.
  16. I've been playing the Japanese version for about 80 hours now and have been enjoying it quite a bit. There are a few things that I don't like, but they're few and far between enough to not bother me too much.
  17. That's not a bad price at all. At 16000 yen, that puts it in the same price range as the DX Chogokin Aquarion toy.
  18. You obviously haven't heard enough dubs!
  19. 48 was pretty good. Too bad my trip to Japan was only for a week, making me miss the final 2 episodes. I hope my friends that went don't spoil it for me if they happened to watch the final two. I hate to admit it, but I saw episode 48 witout seeing the episodes between it and 32, so I was a bit confused by what happened.
  20. I just saw the 3rd movie on Tuesday night. I really enjoyed it despite the fact that most of the animation is the old tv series animation. Overall, I'd say the movie was 60% old animation, 40% new. SPOILER......... I don't see how this new release makes Double Zeta not fit. The changes to New Translation don't seem to be severe enough to override plots in ZZ Gundam.
  21. I currently drive a 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE 5-speed with just over 205,000 miles on it. It still rides nicely, and I'm also proud of the fact that the car still has the original clutch!
  22. If I was able to afford to own a Z-tune, I'd definitely be driving it! To me there's no point of owning a car if you don't drive it.
  23. I saw the booth at the Tokyo International Anime Fair on Sunday. Sadly, they weren't allowing photos, but I was very impressed by what I saw! The line art for it was simply amazing, as was the little bit of footage they managed to show. The booth was topped by an awesome tachikoma model.
  24. That was pretty cool. I wouldn't mind actually watching this show! Dai-X reminds me a lot of the Ideon robot from Space Runaway Ideon.
  25. I'll try to get some pictures of this when I visit the TAF on the 25th!
