  1. I bought Lightning Returns last night. I'm finding it to easily be the hardest Final Fantasy game ever, not including the high-level content in XI or XIV. There's an easy setting, but I went right for normal and don't plan on quitting, despite the difficulty. So far in the history of me and Final Fantasy games, VIII is the only one that I hated and never completed.
  2. I only had the space men in red, yellow, and white. I had quite a few of the late-70s to early-80s space sets, but never owned any of the Futuron, Blacktron, or Space Police sets.
  3. The Galaxy Explorer was the very first Lego space set that I ever had! The Starfleet Voyager was also my personal favorite and the very first Lego set that I bought with my own money.
  4. I was hoping that they'd get around to making a VF-0D toy! Hopefully, things will be a bit better for me financially by the time this comes out.
  5. Congratulations on getting the Dendobrium kit! I remember getting mine at Anime Expo a decade ago. To get it home, I actually had to check it in as a separate piece of baggage!
  6. I saw an update about this just moments ago when a friend posted the announcement of a Ghostbusters set. I laughed a bit when the girl in the video pronounced it Maycross. http://networkedblogs.com/Tjrsc The Valkyrie is mentioned at around the 2:40 mark.
  7. I always meant to get both the Albion and Musai sets, but never got around to getting them. I did however, buy Re-GZ set.
  8. After knowing about its existence for as long as I've been an anime fan (29 years to be exact), I finally got to see Space Carrier Blue Noah. I found it to be pretty enjoyable even though it was the English dub version of it, Thunder Sub.
  9. Funny how Tommy Yune is praising this fan film one minute, then the next minute, they get a C & D order. Talk about two-faced! I wonder what his spin on this is going to be.
  10. And of course HG lackey Maverick_LSC tries to claim that Harmony Gold had nothing to do with C&D order.
  11. For me, it's totally dependent on the car. The worst offenders are those awful after-market aluminum wings that people put on cars that were never meant to have a spoiler in the first place. Generally, I'm okay with them if they're specifically made for the car by the cars original manufacturer.
  12. $6.95 a month for Crunchyroll is a giant monthly fee?!
  13. Most of these opinions in this thread are definitely the results of various musical tastes. As far as Megumi Nakajima and May'n are concerned, I personally think that Megumi us the better singer. To me, May'n sounds a bit too nasally and it always sounds to me that she's struggling to hit the high notes.
  14. At $55 that sounds like a store that I know of. They charge $100 for Gundam kits that cost about 3500 yen.
  15. I really enjoyed Chie Kajiura singing in 7. While I certainly don't hate her, May'n is probably my least favorite singer that's performed in Macross. By the way, Mari was 19 when she was in the original Macross.
  16. Yuki was captured by Garmilas soldiers infiltrating the Yamato after being mistaken for Starsha's sister, Yurisha, who was aboard the Yamato. Domel's wife kneels because she recognizes Starsha, Iscandar's Queen in the image player. The soldier wasn't being disciplined for misconduct, he was being beaten by the warden of the prison planet after insisting that he complete his mission to escort Yuki. The warden sees him as being inferior since he is from one of the colony worlds and not a pure-blooded Garmilus. Since they all think Yuki is Yurisha, she uses this to her advantage to stop the soldier from being unjustly beaten.
  17. I really like the way that new Impreza looks, actually. On another note and going back to a previous post the other day, I saw an R33 GT-R today during my travels. For some reason, it was missing its spoiler and had some funky-looking aftermarket ground effects on it. That now makes 1 R32, 1 R33, and 2R34s in my area.
  18. I have many non-Japanese friends that are currently living in Japan and get along quite well with the locals.
  19. When it first aired, Cowboy Bebop used to be on much earlier than it is now, over a decade ago.
