I forgot all about MWCON. I like to live vicariously through these pics. Looks like you all had an amazing time per usual. After seeing the pics of Mari Ijima, it just makes me wonder what she thought of all you drooling fan boys........... Hehe!! Thanks to all who took pictures and it was cool to see what Frank & Sons looked like after all this time. Seems that California is the place to be if you dig anime! Not much here in the Boston area at all. Although, I did just score a Bonaparte (Dominion: Tank Police) figure from Yamato at a local record store!

I wonder why you thought Quake III was so complicated? If you've deathmatched before, that's pretty much what Q3 is - straight up DM. I WAS looking forward to FINALLY being able to play Halo (St00pid Microsoft!) But after trying the demo, I was a little underwhelmed. I decided against purchasing it. Granted, I didn't try the mulitplayer aspect, but Halo is a resource pig. Maybe when I can upgrade to a better system, I may consider getting it and trying the multiplayer component. I am a PC gamer who understands the appeal of Halo in mulitplayer. If you're willing to pick up Quake 3 again, check out this mod: Painkeep Arena There is a bit of a learning curve to the mod, but it makes Quake 3 a bit more fun.

Ok.......just watched it. wtf? I really wish that they'd spent some more time planning things out. I guess I can chalk up some things to the usual "anime magic"..........but is that what Kawamori-san and crew had in mind? The fight scenes were very cool of course. But I feel very let down.

I don't think that'd be a popular choice for anyone 'cept an otaku purist. It'd be cool if they did and showing a series like that late at night, you'd also think that they would be able to show something un-edited. I haven't seen the dub of GITS:SAC so I am curious to see what they are like.
