  1. Thanks, man. I have just uploaded new pictures for the complete version. Let me know what you think. IS
  2. Totally correct, bro. I aim to make the kit plug in & play, with minimum or no further modification needed. . That is my original intensioin to start this project. Based on my current progress, the real thing can be shown by the end of next month. Keep checking my threads, man. Updates of the virtual design will be here very soon.
  3. , thanks man. Kindly keep monitoring my thread Thank you for your kind words, Jason. More update will be coming very soon. , thanks man. 3D drawing of this head is indeed challenging but made my skill improved a lot. Finally I got an acceptable version... and I will update the wing and leg design within this month.
  4. The progress is awesome so far, Jason! Looking forward to seeing more updates! IS
  5. Thanks, MT! Actually I have lengthen its cheek and added a lot of details. Now the head is 100% complete, and I am in the final stage of trimming the neck to make it perfectly fit a 1/48 Valk's body.
  6. Dear All, Here is another project I just finished: head custom for 1/60 VF-0BS ("S" stands for single seat) Although it is a small project, it turns out quite challenging: the 0B/D head has lots of curves and and irregular shapes. For some time I didn't even know how to start the drawing. Anyway, I finally got it, and a prototype is now in 3D printing. May show you the real one on a 0A's body in 2-3 weeks or sooner. PS: I have put a special effort on the inner side design such that the 1/60 0A's neck (I didn't try 0S yet) can be seamlessly used for this custom. Let me know what you think about it. You know, 0B&D share the same head design, so I think at least 60% work of the following VF-0DS design is finished. I will update my design on the wing and leg for 0DS soon. All suggestions are welcome! Thanks!! IS
  7. Thank you for your interest. It is now in final trimming and I will update pictures very soon. Actually now I am also finishing a 1/48 VF-1D macross the first head + 1/48 VF-1D normal head. I am going to offer these head in a set for your grab. A couple of weeks later they should be available. Thank you for your suggestion, and it is exactly what I am going to do. The 1R + 1D (macross the first) heads will be scaled down to 1/60. Thank you for your support. I will let you know once my thread updated and they are available. Thank you for all you guys' support. IS
  8. Thanks for your comments and support, Jason. Yap, I have modified the top laser 100% anime accurate. I am now adding details to the eye laser and will update this thread by this weekend.
  9. , hope so. Actually Capitan America's 1D kit can be partially used to make this kit more VE-1, but it is really challenging to me to model the chest part in the 3D environment. Poor skill... Thanks for your support! IS
  10. Hi Jason, Totally understand, and your work is impressive! I will be closely moniotoring this thread. Feel free to let me know your suggestions and opinions on my current and subsequent work! IS
  11. Fatastic, and the only six-day working time makes it way more fatastic!! Like it so much, man!
  12. Thank you! My long-term aim is to make the 1/48 line as complete as the list given by Macross Mecha. Your support is my energy source! Yap, that makes it to be produced in 1/48 so diffcult , but I really like to head design Thanks, man, for your explanation ans support.
  13. Update: Now the Virtual 3D Design is 100% complete and it will be sent for 3D printing later this month. Kindly let me know what do you think about the finished version. IS ****************************************************************************************************************** Hi All, Just got a time to post one small project: head custom for 1/48 VF-1R I like the 1R design very much but the chance to include it in the 1/48 line would be 0.0000%. So I decide to custom one for myself. It is 90% finished, I will add some details to the eye laser and on the side.I am gonna 3D-print one or two next week and share the pictures of the real prototype in about 1-2 weeks. Let me know what you think about the shape. All suggestions are welcome! Thanks!! yf_1r_complete_2.bmp
  14. Nice suggestion, buddy. I will try to put my hand on the 1/60 vf-1e, , but before that, let me finish the VF-1T (1/48), which is about 80% ready. Thanks man, for your kind words. BTW, team, not a real update but I should be able to upload real pictures around this weekend, or by latest early next week. Thanks for all your support!!
  15. Thanks!! Sorry but at this stage 1/60 ver is not on the agenda since Yamato has released the perfect v2. Most of the components in this VF-1E are designed particularly for 1/48 valks, such as the engine top connection sockets and leg shell. I will see whether I have time to do a 1/60 version after I clean my current projects at hand. The material will be strong white flexible (the most common one in shapeways). Should be quite duraible. Yeah, you got me man. VF-1T is in progress. To be frank, the 1T design is much easier, and the only challenging problem is how to connect the custom engine with Valks' back. Almost fixed it and I should be able to share 3D design pictures in 2-3 weeks. Within this period, I may try to complete some other valks that are missing in the 1/48 line, Hi EXO, many thanks for your kind words! Really appreciated for your support! I knew gwfalcon for quite a while. Actually a couple of compoents are based on his intermediate design. Thanks loop. I will get the thread updated once I got the real parts.
  16. Clever Design, Jason. Looking forward to seeing more updates.
  17. Dear All, NOW THIS KIT IS READY FOR GRAB HERE!! Project complete! ****************************************************************** Dear All, Sorry for letting you wait so long. Today I finally got this kit and here are some pictures of the battroid mode. Generally, Shapeways did a very good job, the resolution is indeed up to 0.1 mm, as they claimed. Another good thing is my design should be OK to give the converted VF-1E a good looking. However, the accuracy is not as good as I expected. If later on you got the kit, you need to put a little time on a slight sanding. I spent 1.5 to 2 hours to do it to assemble the kit together. Pictures for three modes are updated here! I am doing a final trimming on 3 parts: 1) enlengthen the top engine by 3%, 2) enlarge the top dome by 3.5%, and 3) simplify the arm connection. Thanks for your support. IS ************************************************************ Hi Team, Say hello to everybody here! Nice to find this lovely place for macross fans. This is first post, and what I am bringing here is my custom kit design, named VF-1E. Basically, it can be considered as a single-seat VE-1 version. My aim is to make this kit plug-in-and-play for 1/48 line. Totally 27 components included. Pictures shown in the CAD design GUI are given below. Now 1 prototype is being printed in shapeways. In about one week time I will share with you the pictures on the real thing. I am also doing some fine tuning to minimize the material without lossing any solidity. Any suggestions for improving it are greatly welcome. IS Big picture Shapeways picture (printable version)
