  1. Nicely played. We NEED one of these in 1:60!
  2. I think there would be more demand for a 1:60 Spartan than a Phalanx, but I'd enthusiastically back either proposal... Of course, there's gotta be enough interest to finance the effort. Thanks for listening, Cap'n. Patience, gentlemen. The Master seems more interested in pursuing Macross or Mospeada projects for the moment. Save your pennies in the meantime, so you're ready when the time comes! ๐Ÿ˜‡
  3. Are you assuming they'll release more than one color scheme? ๐Ÿค”
  4. As much as I love the idea of a 1:48 Destroid (and I really do), we already have Destroid models and toys in numerous other scales... and not one of them is a complete set. ๐Ÿ˜ข Imai never made a 1:100 Monster. Imai never made a 1:72 Phalanx (or Monster). Wave never made a 1:72 Spartan (or Monster). Hi-Metal R (approx. 1:83) never made a Tomahawk or Phalanx. Yamato (1:60) never made a Phalanx, Spartan or Monster. After nearly four decades of this, I'm not going to start a new Destroid collection that I know will never be complete. ๐Ÿค• Instead, I humbly suggest you: Offer a 1:72 Monster to complete our Imai, Wave (or Moscato!) Destroid collections, or... Offer a 1:60 Phalanx or Spartan* for our Yamato or Arcadia collections, or... Offer a 1:83 Phalanx or Tomahawk for our HMR collections. Filling any one of these holes in our displays would be preferable to creating a whole new (and much bigger) hole. ๐Ÿ˜… *I'd spend $400+ on a new 1:60 Spartan in a heartbeat. Hikaru actually piloted one onscreen! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  5. "Be careful not to lose those tiny parts!" says Hoquet. โ˜บ๏ธ
  6. These are the tiniest figures I've ever painted. ๐Ÿค• The sculpted detail is fabulous, but I should probably ignore the faces entirely from now on. ๐Ÿ˜

    Hi-Metal R

They're not complicated kits. Note the Hasegawa on the right was just snapped together straight outta the box, with no paint or glue; the standard Regult needs little more than decals and panel-lining to look as good as an HMR (with the potential to look so much better, if you know what you're doing). โ˜บ๏ธ
  8. Didn't even know there was one... but a Google search revealed that both Flash movie vehicles were McFarlane Toys Store exclusives, and thankfully the Batwing was still available. The belated heads-up was nonetheless appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜Š Unfortunately, they only ship within North America, so I have to rely on my proxy. ๐Ÿ˜

    Hi-Metal R

I'd like to thank Hasegawa for unexpectedly providing what Bandai has only teased for years now... ...and at a more accurate scale than Bandai's undersized Regults, too. โ˜บ๏ธ Sure, it requires decals and panel-lining (and a little paint, even), but it's a mere fraction of the cost of an HMR.
  10. I would not begrudge The Boys just because Rogan is an executive producer, nor The Fabelmans just because he appears in the film... but feel free to discriminate as you will. ๐Ÿ˜…
  11. It was equally unfair of me to judge Transformers Go Away! based on the standards set by Thrilling 30 or War For Cybertron (much less Masterpiece), without considering the target audience. I've basically ignored BotShots, Rescue Bots, and even Cyberverse entirely, and should simply have dismissed Transformers Go to Hell! in the same manner. Honestly, I'd completely forgotten the line had even existed, until Mike shone his spotlight on it. ๐Ÿ˜…
  12. Oh, absolutely; different budgets, different target audience. The only fair comparison is contemporary Prime figures, and even then, "Beast Hunters" had an international market supported by a series broadcast around the world, whereas Transformers Go! was limited to Japanese retail. With a much smaller market, I imagine their design budget was even more limited as a result; but then again, the same can be said of Kiss Players, a far superior toy line from several years earlier (with nothing more than a tenuous G1 connection to support it, much less an anime series). I just can't find any excuse for Transformers Go!... least of which its release date, barely a decade ago. ๐Ÿ™„
  13. Does your conception of "older toys" include figures like Thrilling 30 Springer, perhaps? Or MP-13 Soundwave? As someone who was actively collecting Transformers in 2013, I was appalled by Transformers Go!, especially the toy line. Mike's detailed retrospective has only reinforced my disdain. I don't think "current standards" have changed much over the past decade.
  14. I've finally got all my UCMG kits assembled in one display: While I eventually intend to expand my Master Grade collection past UC0093, I haven't the faintest idea where I'd put 'em. ๐Ÿ˜…
  15. Three distinct heads (and a variety of accessories) means I can display three unique characters. Awesome! Except, of course, Target will only let you order two. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  16. Given ThreeZero's Labors are 1:35 scale (and cost a pretty penny), that Type 99 Carrier is going to be huge and expen$ive! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Thankfully, Moderoid just released their 1:60 Carrier, so I don't feel compelled to break the bank on a larger toy version.... ๐Ÿ˜‡ ...or at least, not AS compelled as I otherwise would be. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  17. Their licensing contract prevented them from fulfilling orders that had been solicited and taken during the licence period? ๐Ÿคจ And so they've just cancelled the remainder of the production run, rather than extending the licence...? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I can't even begin to wrap my head around the complex web of mismanagement and misfortune that led to such an outcome. The Robotech curse is real. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
  18. A starting point for... what? Are you going to scratchbuild the arms and legs yourself? ๐Ÿคจ
  19. An update...? ๐Ÿคจ Calling that an understatement would be an understatement. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  20. Nor did they impress Michael Bay, who specifically references the incongruity of those Cybertronian robot modes in Transformers DVD supplementals ("Prime walking around Cybertron with truck bits" is more-or-less a direct quote). As a result, he quickly decided to ignore Sunbow entirely and do his own thing. Thankfully, Travis Knight showed a little more respect for G1 in the Bumblebee prologue, but he was still saddled with Bay's design legacy. ๐Ÿ˜’
