  1. It's an improvement over Robotech Art 1, to be sure. There are a lot more screen captures, and considerably more animation model sheets reproduced as well. Anyone who doesn't have the Macross "Roman Albums" should consider picking this up. The interview with Noboru Ishiguro is a surprise, seeing as he passed away back in 2012...
  2. If this thread's any indication, it's our generation that's full of pricks. Or the Star Trek: Discovery route, yeah. You may also have noticed that all the Destroid pilots are completely bald (save the one on the right)... The artwork clearly wasn't ready for publishing.
  3. Apparently, Minmei's dialogue will be corrected for the reprint:
  4. I'd prefer the conversation continues here, with specific information about this product and how to acquire it.
  5. Sure, I've got a 1:72 Bandai TIE clear canopy you're welcome to, David.
  6. Look at all my Blueberries! As always, eternal gratitude to the Cap'n for offering another run of these very special Invid kits! Anybody late to the party who still wants one, just PM me. My extras are available at cost, while supplies last.
  7. Oh, it's definitely Kelvin, not Prime -- for all the reasons you mentioned and more -- regardless of how disingenuously they try and claim it isn't. Whenever Spock is mentioned (now that he's been explicitly referenced in dialogue) I picture Zachary Quinto. In fact, since we're not likely to see another Star Trek film anytime soon, it wouldn't surprise me if Quinto made a cameo appearance on Discovery...
  8. Certainly some interesting things discernible in that jet mode pic: The landing gear looks refreshingly accurate (and die-cast!), but what's with the open intakes? They're totally different from the intakes visible in Soldier or Diver modes. How did they achieve that? Ah, but that's the only red Iota we see in the whole series! Okay, it's probably just an animation error, but it looks awesome. Too bad it was just a dream sequence.

    Hi-Metal R

C'mon, guys... The figure looks great, but it's way too small for Hi-Metal R. Closer to 1:144th scale, actually.

    Hi-Metal R

Ah, but what scale is he? Hold him up to a Glaug or a Regult for us.

    Hi-Metal R

I don't think Valkyries can bend like that.
  12. Eaglemoss is producing a Battlestar: Galactica collection! About 9.5 inches per ship, by all reckoning. Pricey, but highly detailed.
  13. Oh, I'm building a whole new diorama for Shin Goji. Here's a sneak peek:
  14. It's a cool idea, that's what it is.
  15. They're about to face a threat much greater than malcontent Zentradi...!
  16. Yeah, of course. Doesn't everyone? This thread is veering dangerously off-topic...
  17. Not if they're 1:72 scale, they aren't... but there are some unmistakable similarities.
  18. No. Absolutely not. If Shinji Aramaki wants to redesign the Mospeada Ride Armor, that's his prerogative... but only his. Likewise, only Katsuhiro Otomo should be redesigning Kaneda's bike.
  19. Yes, alien spores from the Flower Mushroom of Life are what powers their dangerously unpredictable fold system... but, as the only ship equipped with such technology, they're humanity's only hope against an aggressive alien race that knows only war and conquest. Why does that sound so familiar...?
  20. This seems highly unlikely to me. MegaHouse never got around to Houquet, Matchbox never released a Lancer figure, Toynami never released Rook or Lancer, and Beagle produced neither Houquet nor Yellow versions... and they were working directly from the anime designs. Sentinel is basing their Ride Armor figures on new concept designs that don't even exist in Yellow or Houquet versions. Unless their Stig and Rey figures sell unexpectedly well, I doubt further figures will be produced.
  21. All we know at this stage is that Figma apparently acquired the rights, and that they intend to produce both an "armored cycle/ride armor" and a "riding suit." Figma figures average out at about 1:14th scale.
  22. You know, all these comments sound mighty familiar... ...except Discovery is WAY better than The Motion Picture.
  23. I'm still something of a YouTube noob -- so forgive the ignorance -- but why bother going to all the effort? How does it hurt you if somebody else copies and re-uploads your video reviews? Is it really worth your time to be submitting all these copyright complaints?
