  1. Correct. Released August of 2014.
  2. No, several of us commented on that when initial promotional pics were posted... It's still looks like a 1:60 pilot figure in a 1:48 cockpit to me.
  3. It's just a mock-up of the forward-section of the plane; presumably, the rest will be filled in with CGI. Didn't you guys notice the legs of the crew members where the fuselage should be?
  4. MAAS Toys have designed several unlicensed Transformers figures; are these officially-licensed Robotech products? I see them using the names, the Robotech logo and even the Harmony Gold logo...! If they're not licensed, they could be courting disaster.
  5. Worst video review EVER!
  6. Plus, Legendary Godzilla is portrayed as a heroic figure (as Toho portrayed him in the '70s, like in Godzilla vs. Hedorah), rather than an antagonist (as Toho portrayed him in the '60s, like in Mothra vs. Godzilla).
  7. Price is -- and will always be -- a very subjective issue. I'm not entirely sure MPM-06 is worth the asking price, either, given its poorly-engineered tabs and shoulders... but it sure looks the part! Scales well, too.
  8. And Dana Sterling in the pipeline...! They'd better fix her Dad's hair first, though.
  9. Where's the pre-order? Ah, who am I kidding? I'd never find the space for it.
  10. Not to mention their pricing scheme... That Scopedog was $450, was it not?
  11. Yeah, this guy. No weapons required!
  12. Hey, I never noticed the guy that gets fried as Hikaru crashes... Make 'em super-bright! Thanks for sharing!
  13. Okay, I think I've nailed the pose I was after. Now, what should I do about the feet, guys? Do I fill the gaps above the feet with kitbashed servos and hydraulics (like a real-world mecha), or do I scratchbuild new feet large enough to fill the gap (like the animation model sheets would suggest)?
  14. Battlar (aka "Corg") was a recurring character before he was evolved to human form. As a common Invid soldier, the only way to distinguish him from the others was his eye color. It was subtle, and if you weren't paying attention, you might've assumed it was a coloring mistake... but it's consistent, and eagle-eyed fans can watch him rise through the ranks in the latter half of the series. The eye color, therefore, depends on which Invid pilot you wish to depict.
  15. I think Jean Grant is more likely.
  16. I'm kinda stuck with the feet. I want to achieve a wide-legged stance like this: ...but I'll probably have to make all-new scratch built feet to do it, and I don't know how I could mount them securely... Thanks, guys. That's good advice.

That just means Amazon.jp has sold out of their pre-order stock. Amazon affiliates will still be using the site, but they're unlikely to sell outside of Japan... and don't offer Amazon's pre-order price guarantee, either. I'm surprised Amazon.jp's own stock lasted this long, actually. I've seen DX Chogokins sell out in under an hour.
  18. Welome to MacrossWorld! I think you'll find most of us here hail from your generation, and many of us were dedicated Robotech fans growing up. However, if you wish to engender serious discussion, the members most likely to contribute -- the most intelligent and articulate users here -- also tend to be vehemently anti-Robotech nowadays, so I'd advise you to restrict your observations to the characters and events of Macross. While there are a great deal of Mospeada fans here as well, we are generally dismissive of Southern Cross, and highly critical of any attempt to link these series together... ...and if you wish to be taken seriously, you should probably never mention T.R. Edwards again.
  19. Look Ma, no stand! It'll look a lot better with scratch-built feet for a bolder Gerwalk stance, but at least I've proved it can stand using the existing parts... after significant modification, of course. I came up with a pretty simple solution for articulating the intake joint. After cutting a piece of styrene to fill the gap in the thigh, I drilled a hole in the center, and a matching hole centered behind the intake: I then threaded a nut through the holes and bolted them together, leaving just enough tension to be able to rotate the parts. Now the legs can be also be repositioned for a dramatic flight pose, as Max Factory intended. Thanks for your attention! Modeling can be a lonely hobby (as we all know), and getting feedback at each stage of the process helps motivate me to continue onto the next stage. I appreciate all your comments, guys. It reminds me I'm not just working in a vacuum. Glad to see the rest of you are finally starting to receive your kits as well, so I'm not the only one posting pics here.
  20. So, to modify the legs so the gerwalk can stand, these pieces will have to be cut apart to reposition the joints: On the left you see the unmodified leg. The position of the feet are the biggest problem... On the right, the leg I've modified. Cutting off the intake segment is necessary to straighten out the legs, so they aren't canted at such a dramatic angle. I'm not sure how I'll go about articulating that joint, or even just reattaching it in the required position... Thanks! It's nice to see additional model sheets, even if they contradict each other... or screw up the proportions, like the above illustration. That backpack is MASSIVE! And for some reason, the pilot is sitting above the cockpit, rather than in it... An additional $170?
