    oh... never saw it. Jumped in the thread late & never went all the way back. Apologies. And i based the statement according to Amazon, they have the vol 1 blu ray for $106. Regardless, if they see a US release i will support it. But only as a season boxset. Just like i bought the StarBlazers boxsets. I always hated only 3 or 4 eps on a disc. I can wait. When they want my US money, they'll get it. In the meantime, i'm grateful for the high-quality fan subbed torrents that are FREE, especially since my geographic market isn't even considered in the creation of these. I feel the same way about Macross. I have the entire library of everything Macross and got it all for free. I only bought the latest BD due to the region free PS3 game. When Big West & HG work out there differences & want my money i will totally support financially.

    I have no clue. But it works. And to be honest, that PSX DYRL is CRAZY FUN. I never played it back in the 90's & after the teaser that is the MBAP PS3 sampler, to have a full game was ton of fun. What's cool is once you download it you can go back to your previous user & play it AND you can install the game on your PSP which is where it's more suitable anyway.

    I finally took the time to unlock the Zentradi levels. Their mecha seems almost over-powered. For levels that were supposedly a 9, they were rather easy compared to the PSP levels. But for some reason I don't see Roy's VF-1s locked yet. But i am missing a couple SS ranks. I really wish they would just release a full game already. I would love to be able to tune these Valks.

    If it is, i haven't unlocked it yet. Once you beat story mode mission, the 'EX' type versions of the levels unlock. And so far i can only play Hikaru, Max & Kazikazi. (No Roy yet). The Valks options are with the Super parts or not, but no tuning options. I'm only about halfway thru those 'ex' missions. These are tough. I've seen Miriya & a Regult playable in the previews but i don't know what it takes to unlock them. Probably going to need a bunch of S ranks on the 'ex' version missions. I'm still waiting for a walkthrough or atleast a trophy list...

    NICE. I'm definately going to have to dig thru that. Can we assume Starblazers doesn't have the U.S. licensing issues that Macross has? Meaning is there a decent chance 2199 could released outside of Japan?

    Glad they fixed it. It was 1/350 when i posted. I should have known better. I wonder what kind of price tag that would be. Imagine the shipping cost....

    Yeah, the voucher was only LE version. I would buy it from someone, because i know there will be several that go unused. And this game would be even shorter then the PSP DYRL levels, if not for the EX versions that become unlocked once you beat the story mode. Atleast they allow you to be other members of the skull squadron. But seeing those VF-1's in PS3 graphics almost makes up for the shortness. I've got a bunch of SS ranks & about halfway thru the EX missions & still only one trophy.... must be more to this then we know....

    Ok. I found this instructional video to reset the file system on a PS3. I've done this a few times over the years after a bad update & it usually fixes any crashes & slow downs. It doesn't delete any saves or anything critical kind of like a defrag. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRTZSjEbkws

    I'll try mine when i get home tomorrow. My PS3 may already be up to date after the last few visits to the PSN store this week. There is something that you can do when the PS3 is slow & has hiccups after a mandatory update. I'll see if i can find it. I've had that problem a few times in the 6 years i've had one & there is a type of soft reset that clears it up. Stay tuned.... Oh is this going to be the official Trophy hunter/ walk-through/ tips & tricks thread for this game or is that somewhere else? A japanese game with a US Region lock?? that's the first i've heard of it.... NOT A GOOD SIGN... Well you have to have a japanese account on the japanese PSN store. Then log in & redeem the code. I've seen it done on Xbox but have yet to confirm the step-by-step instructions for Playstation.

    Good question. I've wondered that myself. Probably some tasteless synthetic slop rich in nutrients & vitamins. Which would make them appreciate Earth food all the more.

    WOW... did you just compare piloting a numerous amount of badass VF-1's to a riding a camel.... haaaaa... that's a first. Personally i just wish there was a full game instead of a sampler & visual upgrade from a few stages of the PSP version. But to each his own. Couple hundred?? yeah.... hell with that i'm getting the $85 version. And i'm sure Minmai was still underage in DYRL. Although i think the age of consent in Japan is 14 so i guess it's a regional thing. I agree, i think the seeing this in true HD BD will make it all forgivable.
