After only been seriously collecting for less then 4 months....i'm still saddened by no 1/48 Destroids so... this is what happened.... I felt my dio/hangar/shelf needed some ground support.....(W.I.P.) .

Oh yeah. One of the first things out the box after i found a #2 decal. I used grey & black, utlra-fine gundam marker. i felt the need to bring out the few details it had on it, because sometimes being anime-accurate isn't all that great....

AGREED. Absolutely EPIC. 1/48's continue to amaze me to this day. Still sad to see everything going the 1/60 direction.

Holy shitcakes!!! I wasn't envious of your collection until i saw the GBP army shelf & the Cannon Fodder fleet!!! THAT is some impressive sh*t right there!!! BRAVO man. Most impressive. No wonder i can't find this stuff, so many vets have so many duplicates.... lol.

I went thru the same problem 4 months ago. 1/48's are pure awesome. Built like bricks. Are not plagued with many issues & are the biggest valks made. The only 'cons' are the relative selection is minimal compared to the vast 1/60 scale. And if you like other Macross lines besides SDF/DYRL then your 1/48 giants will be all alone in that scale. The other con is the price. If you see one under $150 nowadays then that is sadly a pretty good deal.

Those ultra-fine tip Gundam markers in grey & black are awesome for panel-lining.

Sold out on HLJ, Sideshow still has their preorders up. I couldn't pass up that flex-pay option. This thing is going right on my 1/48 shelf to stand in for the lack of Destroids in that scale.

Agreed! I come from a Transformers background but nothing inspired me to take me displays to new levels like Macross. And i also will not buy anything unless i know exactly how i will look on my shelf. I'm glad i choose the 1/48 scale, otherwise i'd be broke & angry trying to "catch up". Fortunately, Transformers isn't pushing anything i have interest in, the 3rd party stuff is kinda tempting, but not enough to de-focus my Macross themed collecting.
