  1. Hi there Skull Leader, from a guy who is kinda new. I discovered Macross back in 2011 when I was searching for new mecha series I hadn't seen yet.
  2. My second reaction was "Lol what is this, the 90s? Where's Rob Liefeld?"
  3. It's like they're saying, "Oh, you tried to put more engines and guns on the VF-1? Well we can put EVEN MOAR boosters and guns on it!!"
  4. They most certainly do in Hollywood and you're a fool to suggest otherwise. Why do you think Keanu Reeves was the star of 47 Ronin? Or why they gave a lot of attention to Bryan Cranston being in Godzilla when it turned out he isn't the main character? Names have ALWAYS had power in filmmaking.
  5. Aw come one Frothy, you missed all the popcorn, we had enough to fill the ARMD-01!! But seriously, excellent logo Gerli.
  6. I REALLY want to watch Dragonar, but I can't find it anywhere...
  7. I don't think this matters much Atharun; Academy is done and I don't think there are going to be any more major projects forthcoming. As for any RT fans reading this, I truly, sincerely hope that you get something that eventually is worthy of Robotech... preferably without HG. Signing off.
  8. Um, in the end credits scene of Thor: The Dark World where the beard guy says "It's not wise to keep two Infinity Stones close together."
  9. Aw, is the party over already? Well, back to waiting for news on the new Macross series' pre-production...
  10. Whoah, the recrimination from Robotech.com is messed up. These guys are more delusional than Transformers Gee Wunners. Good thing it's not all the fanbase...
  11. Well, Robotech WAS on Hulu about 18-24 months ago, before they took it down along with the ADV Macross dub. The way I heard it (from one of the Speaker PodCast guys.... I think....) it was because Lionsgate was going to do something. Which they are... just not on Blu-Ray. 18 months later. And Robotech is doomed not just because of Harmony Gold but because the day for anime has long passed. Mecha is a niche within a niche and quite frankly I'm still amazed we got a full dub of Gundam Unicorn and that there's been enough support for Vertical's Origin release to go all 10 volumes.
  12. Just a little side-note, I posted that neckbeard's video on MAHQ and it annoyed a couple of people enough to make video responses. Should be fun! And informative. That's exactly what would happen. I'm sure they'd file a protest even if they tried to put it on a Japan-owned site like Daisuki.com.
  13. I dunno about you guys but I'm havin' a ball watching some of the comments over on Facebook. Apparently this is all the fault of the Gee-Wunners, er, I mean Macross purist trolls. I love how it's so defined; MACROSS purists, not anime purists. Is there any more popcorn left? Also, a VERY small part of me is interested in these DVDs they say they'll be putting out.... but the vast majority of me doesn't want to reward HG's bad behavior.
  14. Yup, this is dead in the water. This was their chance and they totally blew it. The DVD set also stinks of desperation. "We'll give you Macross, just please fund our Kickstarter!"
  15. C'mon dude, you know what Universal would say to that: "Not a chance in hell."
  16. I have to admit, it is pretty funny, especially considering Bricken is something of a Robotech fanboy having written articles such as "Why Robotech is the Greatest Love Story of the 20th Century." Still not sure if that article is serious or not.
